I made an appointment online for 2:00pm on a Tuesday. When I got there, I learned that they were a bit backed up and it would take between 1.5 and 2 hours. I understand how things like that can happen, but I didn't want to wait that long so I asked when might be a better time, and they said at 8:00am I'd most likely be at the front of the line, so I arranged to be there the following morning. Sure enough, the alignment only took about 30 mins. Tony gave me a printout of the measurements before and after for my car so I could see exactly what had been done in terms of camber, caster, toe, etc. for each wheel. Overall, I was very pleased with the whole operation, thanks to Tony and Miguel for their helpful and friendly assistance. I'll be sure to check out Tire Outlet the next time I need new tires!

Honestly, whoever is in charge of their customer service training needs a promotion. From the second I walked in, every employee I interacted with was incredibly polite and professional. They all wear sharp polos with their name clearly marked. Refreshing was that there is no sketchiness or feeling like there was a catch. They did offer a tire warranty, which I skipped for one of my cars. But I actually bought it for my EV since electric cars are nail magnets, and I'm already at the break-even point after just one claim. There was no high-pressure upselling at all. They thoroughly explained every cost detail, and when I brought in a competitor's online quote, they matched the out-of-the-door price with zero hassle. The waiting lobby is actually nice to sit in, too. Plenty of space, workstations, free Wi-Fi, coffee, and water. Plus, the location is easy to get to right off the freeway. Service is fast, especially compared to Costco where you basically have to leave your car for the entire day. You also get free rotations and flat fixes. They have a sign on the wall from the founder, Bruce T. Halle, about being honest, working hard, and paying it forward. There were no cars behind me, and the location didn't appear to be particularly busy. Despite that, the employees working inside completely ignored me. They were too busy singing along to music and goofing around to acknowledge that a customer was waiting for service. Eventually, someone told me, "My guys are busy right now, but we will help you," while walking away. When I pointed out that they seemed more busy messing around than actually helping customers, someone finally came over. Once someone did help, they filled my tires to the PSI I requested, so I appreciate that part. I had just driven back from the desert after off-roading and needed to adjust my tire pressure. I could have done it myself at home, but having a tire shop handle it was simply more convenient. Unfortunately, the experience wasn't worth the hassle. To make matters worse, the employee who helped us forgot to put the valve stem caps back on my rear tires. I didn't notice until I got home, so now I'm having to purchase replacements for something that should have been put back on my truck in the first place. It's frustrating because this could have been such a simple interaction. Acknowledge the customer, provide the requested service, and make sure everything is put back together before they leave. Instead, I was ignored while employees joked around, and then the job wasn't even completed properly. For a business that specializes in tires, I expect better attention to detail and much better customer service.

So they send me to another Walmart that they say can do it. That store says the same thing. They won't install the tires because they're afraid of damaging the rims. Now the good part of the story. The Walmart manager refers me to JR's. I go to JR's and I'm worried they won't install the tires since I got the tires elsewhere. Nope. JR himself gives an amazing warm welcome, gave me a more than fair install price per tire, and started on it immediately. No waiting. The guys are now my only stop for tires and wheels. Every time I decline he would get a sour face and just walk away pissed off. Since I bought a set of 4 tires, I'm going to take advantage of the service to get tire rotations and tire balance. But again every-time I set the appointment and it said tire pressure check or tire balance. It was an interrogation of questions like is your tire pressure low because ur dashboard has TPMS light on or I are you requesting a tire balance for excessive shaking it might be due to your control arms. Do you want to get them replaced? This last time I drew the line, I came in for a tire rotation and shop was empty. I was the only vehicle there. And there you go u see a technician checking the suspension and then yells oh we have ripped tire boot. The manager come up to me and tells me that left tire outer tire rod boots are broken and need replacement and that if we do it today it will only 350. Of course I declined, and there goes Mr sour face just walking away. If the boot was actually broken I would feel my alignment leaning to the left and see that my tires were wearing out fast. I didn't see or feel anything like that. Plus if they were actually honest they would have either shown me the ripped boot or at least taken a picture as proof. I keep a log of when I swap of parts and/or do maintenance on the vehicle. The outer tire rods had been replaced a year n half ago and I had bought the parts straight from Honda. But I wanted to take a loot and removed the tires and the tire rods were still in good condition with no ripped boots. This is why I don't like mechanics at an all in shop or a corporation. They push sales and don't care about the customers. I get my tires here because the price is decent plus it comes with tire rotation and tire balance for the life time of the tire. Not bad but the constant lying and upselling when the vehicle doesn't need it is a red flag. Just be careful when you come here. They're not the honest mechanics you which they could be.

The 1 tire was only a bit over $100 for my 2019 VW! I've come back multiple times since for oil changes for myself and my friends. I barely ever have to wait more than an hour if everything goes well, only time I had to wait longer was because Autozone gave me the wrong oil filter and they had to order one. I get my VW Passat oil changed for $35 max when I bring in my own oil and filter, and the workers are always very quick. I always stick around to wait, and Greg is always great to talk to. I will continue bringing my business here, and recommend my local friends do the same!

I would NEVER recommend this shop…read more I brought my 2013 Honda Civic in because it was kicking back/hesitating while accelerating, even struggling to get onto the freeway. I paid a diagnostic fee because I wanted the problem diagnosed and repaired--not routine maintenance. The shop recommended a fuel system/injector cleaning and transmission fluid service, telling me that was the cause of my issue. I trusted their diagnosis and paid. The very next morning, my Check Emission System light came on. I returned, and they told me it was unrelated to the previous work, diagnosed a thermostat issue (P0128), and I paid for that repair too. After picking up my car the second time, the exact same acceleration problem was still happening, and while driving, the Check Emission System, Check VSA System, and Check Power Steering System warnings all came on. So after spending about $1,000 and making multiple trips back to the shop, the original problem I brought it in for still wasn't fixed. When I spoke with the manager, instead of trying to understand why I was frustrated, he became defensive, argumentative, and dismissive. He repeatedly said, "I don't understand why you're mad," asked, "Well, you said the issue was fixed, right?" (I NEVER said that), and when I explained I'd had to take multiple days off work and arrange transportation because I kept having to come back, he told me, "Having to take 3 days off is part of life. That happens when you have an older car that has issues." He also refused a refund, saying "We're not doing any work for free," and expected me to trust them with my car for a third time after they had already failed twice. Why would I pay them again when they couldn't fix the problem the first two times? I lost all confidence in the shop and took my car to an independent mechanic in Diamond Bar. He drove my car and noticed the drivability issue almost immediately. After spending several hours diagnosing and test-driving it, he found the actual problem: a faulty MAP sensor. He replaced it, and the hesitation is completely gone. He also told me the fuel system cleaning and transmission fluid service performed by Cook's were maintenance items and were not related to the problem I originally brought the car in for. I understand that diagnosing intermittent issues isn't always easy, but what I can't accept is paying around $1,000, making three trips back, being treated disrespectfully by the manager, and then having another mechanic correctly diagnose and fix the problem in a matter of hours. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration. I will never return or recommend this shop.

Recently, I was researching new tires for my SUV and was offered a few choices. Per the photos I still have life in them and went for flat repair to Big O in Anaheim on La Palma. I hit a curb and got a flat and had my car towed here because it was the closest tire shop…read more Obviously already having a really bad day but I guess I looked like dollar signs to them because somehow I walked out paying over $1600. They told me I needed a new set of tires so I should just replace them all. I told them I just got my tires 2 years ago from the dealership. They said the dealership sold me tires that were in storage for 2 years before I got them (pointed to the date of manufacturing) and that warps the tires due to being in the sun and whatnot. Lucky for me they had a great deal on 4 tires for $1100. Why didn't I question any of this? The guy seemed very nice and I was so stressed from having a flat tire and blocking traffic for 30 minutes and very frazzled so I just agreed. After about an hour the guy tells me I need new front brake pads as they've worn down to 1mm. I told him I just got new brake pads one year ago. He shakes his head and tells me whoever installed them must've given me poor quality brake pads or I'm an aggressive driver. I tell him I'm not interested but he keeps insisting telling me if I didn't replace them now it would cause "metal on metal" and destroy my rotors and I would be causing way more serious damage which would become costly. Did I want to pay a few hundred dollars now to replace the pads or thousands later because I didn't do what I was supposed to? I don't know anything about cars. Don't even know what brake pads look like at this point and he's talking fast and showing me the pads and acting extremely concerned about my welfare and last thing I wanted was another big expense so I agreed. I asked him to take pictures of my pads with my phone which he did and while they're fixing my car I called up the place that originally did my brakes and of course they defend themselves. Who am I to believe? I Google some pictures of worn brake pads to compare to the pictures of my own and what I saw on my car, and it really looks to me that my original brake pads look quite new! I estimated that the part I'm actually supposed to measure was about half an inch just based on what I actually saw in person while he was talking fast and taking the pictures, which Google tells me is actually equivalent to 8mm! I get upset and ask them to bring my old brake pads out and I want them to measure and show me exactly where it's 1mm and of course they bring out pads that look nothing like my picture. I told them these don't look anything like what's in my picture- they're not my pads and also not 1mm- they were 2 or 3 but still way thinner than what I had just seen on my car and in the pictures. It also took them a long time to find my brake pads even though they just took them off. It was at that point I realized they were complete liars and I wasn't going to get anywhere with them at this point and I was made a fool. Then they tell me they're getting my new pads from some warehouse and it'll be here soon. Of course before I signed the papers they told me all the parts were already there and should be done quickly. I asked them why are parts being delivered when they said all were in stock?! Oh because they meant the parts are here locally in Southern California. Lies after lies. I can go on but I'll stop here. It isn't just the fact that I got scammed into getting new brake pads and possibly new tires, but also the fact that I probably had legit pads in there already and they might have replaced it with $hitty ones because at this point I would expect no less from this place. They prey on women and elderly (I saw an elderly man in a walker come in crying about having paid for 4 new tires but they only replaced 1 and left him with 3 old tires. I don't know how and if that was resolved so won't comment more on that). I also notice there are some five star reviews here from people who came in to get a new tire but also left with new brake pads much like my own situation. They're probably giving 5 star reviews not knowing they were talked into replacing perfectly fine brake pads. Save your money headache and the feeling of being gaslit up your a$$ and go elsewhere.
