Put on some new tires after having to stop due to a flat. Paid for them along with the untold mount and balancing prices. I didn't pay for the $20/tire warranty the owner wanted me to get. My wife told me that the warning light regarding tires came on driving it home. We looked at the warning signal and it said that the tires were overinflated. Not accusing anyone of anything. Maybe their machine readings are off. Who knows? Maximum air pressure is 50psi for the tires and 42psi recommended by the manufacturer. This is what I saw regarding them. I was shocked! Lucky I didn't have a blowout! Check the pressure of your tires. read more

I went to golden west tire center for a flat for my spare I was charged 60 for a used tire I left the tire shop and as I was driving home my car was stuck luckily my differential didnt break but my caliper and rotor broke I towed my car home and from a simple tire change I now have payed over 300 dollars in fixing my rotor and caliper thank god I took a picture of the car while it was up on the jack because I looked back and saw how they left that tire I contacted golden west and they say they are no responsible for this and don't take the blame I could've died I'm in shock they are not taking action read more

My minivans tire sensor went off I knew I needed to head to a tire shop as I had to have it patched just a few weeks before from a nail. I drove to Americas Tire across the street at first, but it was going to take 20 mins for me to even talk to anyone because they were slammed. I looked across the street and called and John said come right over. He took me immediately, they actually take the tire off the rim to repair them, unlike others that just plug it. They do other services in addition to tires. Ac, brakes, alignment, oil changes, any issues come here. If I could leave a zero star I would. I literally drove in 5 minutes before closing with 10 PSI. it was obvious that my tire was flat. I'm assuming the manager/owner (not sure) said that he could not patch it, all he could do is put air in it. Talk about crappy customer service. They are more worried about getting out in time than helping out a customer. One of the workers came and put air in my tire so thankfully I was barely able to make it to Pep Boys. Headed across the country in our RV we got a nail in our tire, we stopped at a few 'big name' tire shops in Buena Park area but they didn't have time or couldn't fit us in tHeir garages. We saw Golden West and figured we'd give it a shot- they were busy and of course we were there at lunch time (cuz that's how nails in tires work, lunch time or midnight, always) but he said he could squeeze us in. We backed up and their mechanic got to work. They have a nice indoor waiting area with tv, AC and magazines. Nothing is quoted. You have to ask for a detailed receipt to see any prices whatsoever. Nothing is done on a computer or laptop. All done by hand. Ridiculous. They just throw out random prices at you and expect you to believe that. I got 125,000 last May for like $500. Apparently all they did was top off the fluids because I got my car serviced from a REAL shop and went through a myriad of things that needed to be replaced that should've been done by this joke of a business. I say this because in that year and a half I only drove my vehicle 4,000 miles. Now last week I had no choice but to go to them because I busted a hose.and it was the nearest shop. $300 to replace a hose on an everyday American brand vehicle. When I got the receipt there was nothing on it. NOTHING!! but it saying replaced hose. He said they had to special order it. BS!! This place has probably been ripping people off for years with their out of date practices & that geriatric needs to retire. I'm on to you and now everyone will know!! Absolute criminals!! read more

Nice repairs shop in Fullerton. Got a Groupon deal for 3 oil changes and each time the experience was easy. They only do oil changes in the morning, so plan accordingly. I generally get in and out in about an hour, no frills, very straight forward transaction. There's a TV, bunch of magazines, coffee and water in the waiting room which is spacious and comfortable.
