America's tire is not trustworthy. I've been dealing with them four over a month regarding tire sensors. They were installed and when I drove away the sensor light was still on. I brought the car back and they said one of the sensors was faulty. They said they would order a new one and would reach out and let me know when the part is in. 3 weeks go by and nothing. So I called and they stated they didn't recall any of the situation and to make an appointment to have them check it. I showed up and after trying to sell me tires they had me wait 45 minutes and I had an appointment and they are not owning what they promised. FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE! I ordered 4 new Michelin tires for my Rav4 online and had them installed at the Indio America's Tire location. There was an incredible online tire sale and I got a fantastic deal. Upon arrival at the location I was greeted with - prompt immediate courteous service, fast professional installation, socially distanced comfortable indoor/outdoor waiting areas plus a welcoming attentive staff. The tires were installed in about a half an hour, as promised, and I rolled off with a smile and 4 fabulous new Michelins!! I started purchasing tires from America Tire/Discount Tire while living in Arizona. I will only shop with them because they take care of any tire issue between California and Arizona. There's locations all over both states. I drive the freeways ALOT. With my former set of America's Tire-Michelins I had them repaired or replaced a few times due to nails and highway debris. It's nice having peace of mind knowing I can pull off the 10 freeway and get tire help if needed. Make sure to get the insurance it is worth it!! Intial experience was great. Bought 4 new tires to be mounted on 4 new oem wheels. The tires were not balanced correctly from the initial install. Went back again for another rebalance and was this time it was left worse. Driving on the freeway felt like I was on a washing machine. Went to the coachella location to see if maybe they could help me there. Truck was back to how it felt after the install, still a ton of shimmy. There i was told that the tech in indio had improperly balanced the tire by stacking weights. Prior to this rebalance, I already taken my truck to a mechanic incase this was some how a driveline issue. The next morning I went to get truck aligned to eliminate any other factor that could be causing the vibration at highway speeds. I then went again to the indio location with alignment print out in hand and asked to speak to a manager. As I was waiting ,Sergio the manager walked and was advised that I was waiting to see him. h He barked at the assistant manager that advised him of my request that he was too busy ripping stickers off tires and had a line on hold to deal with my issue. Sergio finished the phone call and walked away into the back office. After that, the assistant manager said he could help me and hear me out regarding my issue. I explained to him the situation and he was very apologetic and empathize with my frustration. The assistant manager definitely took care of my issue by assigning an experience tech to look over the wheels and tires and perform a road force balance. While waiting, the assistant manager walked over to inform me that the pervious 2 times I had come in for a rebalance, it was only performed on the front wheels instead of all 4. He informed me that they would be doing all 4 tires on my visit today. Sure enough, that took care of the issue. However, my brand new wheels were left with chalk marks, adhesive from the weights, some marring from when they removed the weights. The attention to detail is clearly lacking from the multiple trips to have the tires rebalance to simply caring for a customer's set of wheels. The only great experience I had was with the intial sales guy when I purchased the tires, and my last and final visit to the store with the assistant manager stepping-in when the manager would not. Shout out to that gentleman that is the assistant manager; he was professional and truly cared about fixing my problem. On 9/14/22 I brought in my tire in for a flat repair and they scratched and marred my wheel. This was the last straw for me and will not be coming back here​. This location was extremely professional and helpful. I was about to drive home back to Arizona when my tire pressure sign turned on. They were able to do a free inspection to see if there was a leak in my tire and they double checked for extra precaution since they knew I was about to make a long drive home. I'm posting this excellent review on behalf of my family members: On March 31st, 2021 my wife and I stopped at America's Tire in Indio to have a rear tire checked out. We were midway through a camping trip in our Sprinter camper van and a rear tire had started vibrating for unknown reasons. We were promptly and safely (wearing a mask) met by Anthony who examined our tires. He explained that the 2 rear tires were badly worn and one tread was so thin that employees were not allowed to work on it. Anthony took his time to explain some safety concerns he had about at least 2 of the tires and educated us about the safety benefits of newer tires. We purchased a set of 4 tires and without an appointment we were still in and out of there in 45 minutes. Fantastic service! But wait, there's more! 2 hours later while driving north up Hwy 395, a driver at an intersection, without warning, turned left 30 feet in front of us, while my wife was driving at 60 mph! Just braking would have ended in disaster, (he would have been t-boned!), but my wife was able to avoid the driver by turning hard to the right and guiding the van through a gravel-filled triangle, into the crossroad and onto a gravel shoulder. After getting our hearts out of our throats we reflected that we would not be alive if it had not been for my wife's alertness and great driving and the traction and handling from our new tires. I buy all my tires from America's tire but I was disappointed by the way they tried to take advantage of my wife. They tried to sell her new tires when her tires were in great shape. We usually go to Rancho Mirage but today she went to Indio to check the air pressure and then they tried to hustle her. Told her that she hadn't rotated in 11,000 miles when that is not true and he said that she needed two new tires. The theory of women being easy targets for the automotive industry still rings true. AMAZING service!! I showed up at approximately 5:57pm and keep in mind they close at 6:00pm. There lobby was busy and I honestly thought I was going to be turned away, because I was rushed out at America depot tire shop down the street. They filled my tire with enough air to get me to America's tire, which is the location I usually get my tires at. Unfortunately I had a flat and wasn't going to make it here. Went in to have 1 of my TPMS sensors replaced they changed the wrong one and before they gave me my keys they told me I have to drive the car a couple miles before the tire pressure will show up on the dash (not true) also they're about to close at this point so I get back in my car and realize now there is 2 tires not showing pressure on the dash so I called the store from outside to tell them about this issue also wanted them to take a note of this so they won't say they have no idea about this later and not want to fix it. The guy on the phone says he will write down a note and then tells me sometimes these sensors go out 1 by 1 so it's best to replace them all at once??????? I used to work at an auto repair shop so I know that's bull lol fast forward to today I went in finally with a receipt from when I paid for the sensor and they don't want to take responsibility instead of arguing with the guy In the front desk I took the loss and walked out. Just got a new-to-me 5th Wheel RV at noon today and rushed over to these guys who had just the right new tires. Good thing, as the old tires were 7 years old and had very uneven wear and even bubble. Fortunately, during the 38 mile trip there, I had no problems. I arrived at 3pm and they were done long before closing time. I even got them to print up a wiring diagram for my truck so I could troubleshoot a wiring problem while camping near by that night. Stupidity is to intelligent a word to describe the incompetence of this store. I drove to the store to get tires and the Michelin tires I had purchased at the same store were still under warranty. Daniel tells me that they would only cover 1 of the tires as the other 3 had tread depth too low. I called Michelin and they told me that Daniel was misinformed. I drove back to Americas tire and dealt with Geralle so he could convey the info to Michelin. Big mistake, I asked him to print out tread info and call Michelin so I could get new tires. He said he could not print out info but he would e mail to me and follow thru. Called an hour later as I did not get e-mail. Now another of their brain trust tells me to just come down and they will print out the info. What a waste of time. Save yourself the aggravation and go anywhere but the Indio location. I have left a message for manager Larry to call me but I am not holding my breath. read more

Needed a replacement for a blown tire on our RV. The first tire store we went to didn't have it in stock, they recommended Americas Tire where we experienced exemplary customer service. Not only did they replace the tire quickly, they found a nail in one of our truck tires and repaired that for free. They then checked the tire pressure in all the truck and RV tires and also checked the torque on all the RV lug nuts. Everything was completed sooner than estimated at a very reasonable price. After a horrible experience at Mountain View Tire in La Quinta. Where they told me I desperately needed new lower control arms, bushings and driver's side wheel bearings @ the cost of $1,000.00. I said no thanks, took my car to Wrench Monkey in Indio.. where he quickly informed me that it was my driver's side tire separating that was the issue with my car. Not any of what Mountain View wanted to gouge me for.. Wrench Monkey sent me here to America's Tire. WHAT AN AMAZING experience. Luis R. Helped me right away. Gave me a few tire options. I always get tires from here and I have always had great service great prices. Not this time, I called and had them order my tires. I ask to order 3 and they only ordered 1. They called me to let me know my tire has arrived and said I can go in to have them install them. That's when I was told that they only ordered 1. So they ordered me the remaining tires. I called today to see if the tires have arrived. They said that they tried calling but they couldn't leave a voicemail because my voicemail was not set up. They where able to leave a voice mail on Friday and a few days later my voicemail was not set up?? Lies of course, I was quoted 360 a tire I purchased a tire less than a year ago for 320. I called and made an appointment. While they checked me in I told them that another tire shop has them at 320. Right away they ask me where's the proof. And I was like proof? U can call them if u want, which they did call and no answer. I got tired of going back and forth they asked the desk manager and even the store manager which is always great and takes care of his customers. I told them to install them only because I needed them. When they finished I went to pay and to my surprise they charged me $392 a tire which I was not expecting. Due to not getting an estimate which state of California is a requirement. The bill came out to $1,498 for 3 tires. If I would of know that was my total I would of not got them. As I reviewed the invoice they added the extra warranty $165 which was not even offered to me. I have always got great service and everything explained to me. I find out that the shop that they have been calling caked them back due to so many missed calls. The shop told the gentleman that was help me their price out the door which I told them. Since I was not aware of this they charged me what they wanted to and did not price match. Where's the integrity of this salesman?? I am mind blown by his integrity. I don't blame Americans tire because they are not who did this. The gentleman does represent Americas tires and he made them look really bad. read more

Brought in my brand new 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 due to having a slow leak. Front desk was great. Quoted me 2 hours and I waited. An hour and a half later a tech comes out and says "we are having an issue putting back a lug nut, you should take it to a mechanic." I ask to go to the bay to see what they are talking about. They forced a lug nut off and then try to hide the issue by telling me to take it to a mechanic to fix the issue. What type of integrity does this place have? The truck has 826 miles. Brand new and they act like the truck came like that. After asking the tech why did they force it off instead of telling me, he replies with "it was coming out rough." So I know for a fact that they forced it off and he proceeds to tell me I'm wrong. They did the same thing with my Brother in laws Ram and also tried telling them the issue wasn't their fault. Irvin stated that he ordered a new lug nut that will come in Tuesday. I will definitely be going back so they replace what they broke. read more

Well apparently for AWD vehicles you should have the same tire and tread on all 4 tires or it can adversely affect the differencial????? Shouldn't a tire company that does 1 job know that? Single woman here and I honestly have gotten taken advantage of in the past on car stuff.‍ So finding companies I can trust is obviously my goal ‍ Larry did a great job listening to my needs, he suggested some great tires and then I told him my budget and we both had a good laugh . It all depends on who is working the day you go in. My husband took in our car, which had a screw in the rear tire. We had purchased a whole set of tires about 18 months ago along with the certificate. The gentleman working went out to inspect the tire and said they were too busy at the moment and to come back with an appointment the next day. The following day at our scheduled time, my husband went in and was then they told by the same gentleman he had spoke to the day before that they could not replace the tire because the tread was low and it would compromise the tire. He informed us that we needed two new back tires. This seems to be their MO, everyone needs new tires. The gentleman inspected the tire the first day and did not mention that the tire was unpluggable and that new tires were needed for purchase. They were not very friendly about it, very brash, antagonistic and arrogant- to the point they were chuckling as they were telling us what needed to be done. We had unfortunately purchased the tire certificates and had to return to this company which I will not be purchasing tires from them the next round. My husband unfortunately had to go in again to have another tire plugged and the gentleman that was working was wonderful and couldn't be nicer. Like I said, it all depends on who you get that day. I placed an online order and paid for 2 tires as well as scheduled an appointment for my tires to be installed for Saturday morning at the Indio store. No tires on Saturday but was told they would be on truck Monday and that they would call me. No one called me Monday, so I called them and manager said they were in and he scheduled my second appointment for Tuesday afternoon. After a 110 degree weather day at work, I show up for my second appointment and only one tire arrived. They told me they could install the one tire and they guaranteed the other tire would be in on Wednesday. I asked how I could believe them after they had already failed twice. They never apologized and didn't care that I had been inconvenienced. Next time I need tires for any of my six vehicles I'll be going elsewhere. read more

I like America's tires but had three service failures since Friday7/14/2023. 7/14/2023. Stopped by Indio to make an appointment for a tire for my wife's car. They said they did not have it but it will be in on Monday7/17/2023 I came by on Monday at my appointment time, paid for the tire. I waited about 15 minutes and they took my wife's car into a bay about 15 minutes went by they told me they did not have the tire. FIRST SERVICE FAILURE. A supervisor sat with me and said the tire would be in on Tuesday and we would get next bay service. He also said they would call us when the tire arrived. Tuesday by one p.m., no one had called and so we called them and they said the tire was in and we would get next bay service. No one called SECOND SERVICE FAILURE. My wife went to have the tire placed on her car. She spoke with a person to get next bay service and was told they do not do that. She had her receipt. She explained what had happen the day before and was told their were 16 cars ahead of her. THIRD SERVICE FAILURE. I spoke with her from home twice in the next 25 minutes and suggested she go back to some one else at the desk and they took her car in for the new tire. Like I said I like America's tires and have used them on many cars for over 10 years but THREE SERVICE FAILURES on one transaction is not acceptable. read more
