Dishonesty is a deal breaker. When checking in my vehicle at 1PM for tire replacement, I was told multiple times that my vehicle would be ready at 4PM. Upon returning at 3:40, I noticed that my vehicle hadn't yet moved and asked if my vehicle would indeed be completed by 4PM. I was told that they typically quote 3-4 hours and that there were still multiple customers ahead of me. At this point, he asked the person who checked in my vehicle what she had quoted me and she said "I told you 4 hours." To reiterate, I checked multiple times when I checked my car in to ensure that it would be ready at 4PM, since I have another appointment at 6PM that is more than an hour away - which I explicitly mentioned and was reassured that the vehicle would be ready at 4PM. So I was lied to, inconvenienced, and had to reschedule my other appointment. And the response from both customer service reps amounted to a verbal shrug. Update: they ignored me at pickup, gave me my car 10 minutes after closing, and my wheels aren't balanced properly - so my ride vibrates. I'd strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. Update: I suppose they rushed through the work to replace my tires. I say this because I noticed, once on the highway, that my tires are not properly balanced; my car vibrates significantly at higher speeds. Wow where to start....I have never been to a tires store because I always go through dealership where I purchased my car from. My husband suggested we shop around for our tires so we gave this place a try. Armando was out and beyond, he was very knowledgeable. My first review and turns out to be of my favorite ride. I recently got tires for my 2004 Mazda RX8 here. I felt the folks that work here are fast and efficient. I got my tires for a decent price. They also have free tire rotations every 8K miles or so. They also provide certificates of some sort to cover the tire for around 16 bucks each. Not sure how useful the certificates are but got them anyway. They took about an hour for the actual tire change which is pretty good. The place is quite busy but I felt the wait is not bad at all. I am definitely going here for tires the next time I need them. Hopefully not for the next couple of years. :) read more

America's Tire has always been my place to go for tires. Not only do they provide professional service, but they always beat advertised local prices. Every car I've owned has visited an America's Tire shop. My best experience occurred two weeks ago when I had to replace all 4 tires on my Mercedes. Costco advertised $870 out the door and already included their $70 instant rebate for 4 Michelin Sport A/S Plus tires. I immediately called America's Tire and spoke to Matt. He called Costco MV to confirm the pricing and beat their price by $10. With Costco, I'd have to wait one week for them to order the tires because the tires were staggered, 2: 245/40/17 and 2: 225/45/17. America's Tire had everything in stock so I made an appointment for Wednesday at 10 AM. I arrived on time, parked in the front, and didn't have to wait long until Matt was available to help me. I paid $860 as we agreed and only had to wait 45 minutes before I was out the door and back on the streets. Now that's what I call service! Then I went back to America's Tire two days later to replace another 4 tires on another Mercedes with Michelin Primacy MXV4's, price matched it to Costco with instant rebate, and received the same kind of service in under 45 minutes for $591out the door. No rebate hassles and out the door pricing is what I want to hear! Just remember to make an appointment by phone or online to avoid waiting for your tires to be mounted. Otherwise, depending on their walk-in wait and day of the week, it can be from 1-3 hours before you get your car back. The company has a great organizational model and employees work efficiently. Check with other local tire shops for their best prices, and America's Tire will beat their prices by $10 or more. Plus, it doesn't hurt to buy their tire protection for piece of mind instead of hassling with proration for warranty issues. read more

They lied about the time it would take to change two tires on my car . I brought in a work vehicle so my boss chewed my ass for taking longer than the Americas tire sales person quotes me . They didn't have my brand of tires in stock so I had to get a lesser known brand installed. Prices are very high here. They don't do alignments so I have to make a second stop to make sure I don't burn through another set of tires. I would not recommend this place to a friend , I would recommend this place to a few assholes I don't like . read more

I made an appointment online, easy peasy! I was waiting my turn and observed outstanding customer service from every employee. I saw the cutest elderly woman pull up in her Buick, she was missing the emblem on 2 of her hubcaps. The guy came out, took a pic and told her he was going to text a friend of his who may have what she needed and then escorted her back in to get her info. The service here was top notch. My tires were replaced with new ones under an hour for a very reasonable price. I also like the fact they repair your tires for free. I didn't realized how much a certain Sunnyvale Honda dealership was ripping me off for car maintenance until I saw the bill here which was $400 cheaper for the same service with the same tires. read more

These guys are great. Zac and Kyle were very professional, fast and thorough. I had a 2013 m3 with 2 nails in the rear tire. Waited 20 minutes at the bmw dealership and gave up after still waiting to see a service advisor. Drove next door to these guys and assessed the issue with 5 mins and they plugged and patched up the tire professionally (from the inside) in 45 mins and didn't charge me anything! Showed up at 5 and it took them about 20 min to put it back, inflate all 4 tires, and finally rotate them. And, for some reason, it was complimentary! The DMV is quicker! 1/2hr wait in line to be told it was going to take them 2hrs to start fixing a simple nail in a tire. Trapped, needed quick help, received none and forced to risk driving on a bad tire with toddlers. Excellent Service! I've done several complimentary tire rotations here & always received great service. Today I arrived at 9am with one if my tire losing air rapidly. The service person checked the tire, measured the thread-life & adviced me to do a free rotation in addition to fixing tire (since my front tires had different wear than rear tires). In about 45 minutes, the tire repair guy called my name & told me that he fixed my tire which had a nail in it, and rotated them. I asked how much I need to pay for the tire fix & the guy said "it's complimentary"! Several other places charge $15-20 for fixing tires! I'll be sure to get my next set of tire from this place. I had a tear on the side wall of my front tire so I took my car in to America's Tire in Mountain View for a second opinion. I first thought the salesperson would recommended me to replace all four of my tires - which Wheel Works in Mountain View (next to Target) suggested and they quoted me a price of $700. When I took my car in to America's Tire, the sales person told me that there are some small cracking on the the trends, but overall it's still in good condition. He recommended that I can just replace that one damaged tire. I told him that I have a full spare tire in the trunk, and ask him if it isok to switch the damaged tire with the spare. He told me that they can do that for me and I asked how much? He told me it would be FREE. Of course, there is no such thing as free lunch. The catch is they want to build that good customer relationship so I will come back to buy their tires. After doing some price comparison online, their price is lower than most competitors, such as Wheel Works and Costco. Their friendly and free service worked! Seriously good customer service from Roger. I found him to be polite, and genuinely concerned for my safety. I came in to have a tire patched only to discover that I was riding on a tire that was ripping, literally. When I told him that I wasn't sure that I had the cash on hand to buy two new tires, he insisted that I, at the very least, leave with a spare. I ended up buying a full set of tires (I really needed them) and he did his best to make the price feasible for me. He even took the liberty of making an appointment for me when I had to return the following day so that I would not have to wait for long. If I could give 0 stars I would . My boyfriend and I went in here to get a tire patched, they were not helpful but we decided to get all four tires replaced . They quoted us at 1.5 hours which seemed longer then other customers and upon returning two hours later the car had not been touched. It was clearly an issue of class and race. Feeling a little let down with the last experience. Went in 2 months ago but they didn't have my tires in stock. Placed an order and said they'd call me. A month later, still no call so I called them and they said 'on the way' and they'd call me...may take 1-2 months! Another 2-3 weeks go by and still no call so I call them again and ask to speak to their manager. Dave apologizes and places a special order and says he will personally follow-up and call me. True to his word, he calls me 4 days later and schedules an appointment. That was the only positive until then. I have a 10.15am appointment and arrived at 10.10am but wait until 10.20am to be attended to as there's a long que. That's ok. They tell me it's take 60-75 mins so I go for breakfast and come back at 11.20am. I check with them and they say 10-15 more mins. I let them know if it takes longer, I can come back later in the day but they say should be ready in 15 mins. I finally get my car at 12.10pm and have to rush to my next appointment. I would have been fine to go if they needed more time and come back later to pick up my car. You just have to let me know so I can plan accordingly. To be fair, their's was a very competitive price but I would have preferred if they had given me a more realistic time to finish. Especially since it was a Saturday, I would have understood. read more

I had a slow leaking tire, made an appointment after a week of back and forth at the gas station trying to keep the PSI at the recommended scale, was fortunate to book a time after work (5 PM) - arrived about 15 minutes early, they got me set up right away. I had asked how long the wait would be - the associate stated less than 45. I was ecstatic! But attempted to not get hopes up - in the end they delivered! Car ready at 40 minute mark. I have had two very positive experiences with America's Tire in Mountain View, and would definitely buy from them again. My first experience was to replace a new tire with a slow leak, I had just purchased a used car and even though the prior owner had no record of having purchased his tires at this shop they gave me a new tire for the price of an "insurance" policy. Cheap. That experience brought me back when I needed 2 new tires. They handled both service appointments promptly, were courteous and accomodating, and pricing was fair. read more

i got a flat while driving home on the 101 last week at 10 pm at night. not an ideal situation, to say the least. AAA came and put on my spare, and i was good to go. the next morning, i went to america's tire, and luckily they had me on file from the last time i got my tires changed. i got all 4 tires changed in about 30 minutes, which is amazing. you can make an apptmt online, but i went during the week and didn't have to wait at all. read more

I drive over an hour round trip from the city just to take my car to America's tire. Thats how much I like them. Unfortunately after repairing one of my tires they forgot to put the air valve cap back on. They wanted me to drive back to get a random valve cap. I asked if they could mail me one but they dont do that. The gas alone doesnt justify the trip for one cap. Make sure you have all your belongings including your wheel lock key before you leave. I still love America's Tire because the service and hospitality they provide is top notch. read more

My X5 had a nail in the tire. I drove without appt into this tire dealer. A sales rep came out immediately to take a look at the tire, pulled out the screw with some pliers, slow leak evident as he sprayed some water on the hote. They very quickly got the vehicle in a bay, in about 15 minutes, despite alot of customer traffic. They repaired it for free... didn't charge me! read more

Another incredible experience with this location of America's Tires. I was driving down the freeway, feeling something wrong with the steering, and the tire list comes on. I pull over, panicked, and see nothing visibly wrong with the tires. White knuckled, I drove to America's Tire, where I have had a great experience before. I was worried I would have to drop $100+ on repairs or new tires. I brought my car in, asked them to take a look at it. They were able to identify that my left front tire was 10 lbs lower than the others. I asked how bad the damage to my wallet was going to be, and they said absolutely nothing!! No sales gimmick or attempt to uncharge. Despite the fact that they were crazy busy, they repaired a leaky valve in my tire absolutely free while I went across the street to the gym. I was told to give them about an hour, an hour and 15 minutes- no problem, they were crazy busy and it was a holiday weekend. I get a call in 45 minutes that my car is ready, and sure enough, my car is ready with the tires looking as good as new! Everybody here is incredibly friendly and genuinely helpful. I can't speak highly enough of their service, and will absolutely bring my car and my family's cars in for tires when the time comes. read more
