Because they have to go outside with a "handheld" machine and that takes time because they have to go outside and they were very busy. Again, I was willing to wait my turn. One of the locations forgot to put the mileage in so they didn't know how many had been put on my new tires -when i got a flat tire, they replaced it at no cost. Today, I came in with another flat (different car, no warranty) and they plugged it for free. I've yet to have a bad experience. I'm always taken care of, in and out at a reasonable time & always available.

I stripped the wheel weights off, cleaned the inside of the rims and deflated the tires for them. I made the deal and paid a deposit Monday Oct. 28th. Dropped off the wheels Oct. 29th and was told they might be done by 4 pm Oct 30th. They had to get the tires from their Lockport store. I called them at 4 pm Oct. 30th to check status. Not done. Called back Thursday Oct 31st. I was told they have to get the tires from the Lockport store (???) and they will be done Friday Nov 1st in the morning. I called back at 12:30 Nov 1st to check status. They are working on them right now. At 2:30 they are finally done. I get them...take them home and mount them. I looked at the date codes just out of curiosity. Normally 4 tires would have matching or close dates codes. 2 tires matched (2124) 1 tire is (3323) 1 tire is (4623). So 2 tires have been sitting for 1 year and 2 tire were made this year 2024. No apologies, no discount for my inconvenience. I will never ever do business again nor trust Tread City Tires.

Yes, they are more expensive than other places. But you can drive up without an appointment, get…read moreyour oil changed without having to get out of your car, and drive off in just a few minutes. That's why you're paying extra. Also, they only do a few things. An oil change, an air filter, wiper blades....They don't overhaul engines, they don't do AC repair, they don't sell tires. So when you go there to get an inspection, if something is going to fail, you know it's because it failed and not because they are trying to get more money out of you. (Not that all places do that, but you have piece of mind that it's not being done here.)

Update as of 1/31/26. I have been to this location multiple times since i last wrote my glowing…read morereview. Since then every-time i go I'm stuck waiting for an inspection or told the inspector went home so no inspections the rest of the day. Isn't the whole point of valvoline to be able to pull in get your vehicle serviced and be out in a timely manner? Maybe i was just lucky the first few times i went and was able to catch the right time to get an inspection and oil change. I could have just made and appointment somewhere else if i wanted to wait an hour for stuff to get done.
