So I'm finally reviewing this place after a few pick up orders. I have visited this place a few times and let me say it's a good mom and pop place. The food is good and the service is great always. I typically only have breakfast so I can only speak to that but I know others eat lunch here and they enjoy the food. Having dinner with the family, really enjoy their pambasos! ( potatoes filled torta bathed in Chile Colorado fried and topped with crema) this sandwich is real Mexican street food found in Mexico DF and surrounding states. I don't like giving bad reviews to local, family owned small businesses, buy I'm not going back here and if someone is looking for a place to eat, they should try a different place. Long wait, the waitress was not nice, and Our food was cold when we got it, I was afraid to send it back so I ate it, but my friends sent theirs back and people at the kitchen just put it in a microwave and sent it back, which was not nice, fresh, nor crispy any more after being in the microwave. My family and I came here after a day at the aquarium. We wanted something close by and affordable, and this was definitely it! My son had beef fajita quesadillas and they were very good. This place is super authentic Mexican food from San Luis Potosí and its sooo good we ordered a shmorgasboard of food when we came because we kept recognizing stuff from Mexico. We had the pambazo which was basically like this enormous torta filled with chorizo and potato and a whole bunch of other things (pics to follow). We also had the enchiladas potosinas and they were just like the ones I used to eat when I was a kid! If you don't know what they are they're like these spicy little red quesadilla sort of things filled with cheese and served with crema and queso fresco. We also had the chicharron en salsa verde and it was really good but also really spicy so beware. Their Jamaica tea is delicious and so is the horchata. The limonada smells and tastes just like the one my abuelita used to make. I was not paid to write this review I'm just a huge fan of this place and think you should check it out. TLDR: this place serves authentic Mexican NOT Tex mex and it's delicious af. gringos beware your sinuses will be cleared if you're not ready for the spicy! Pambazo was a torta covered in red sauce. Not the dish I recall it to be. It was pretty tasty, but it was really just a messy torta.

I decided to try this place for my menudo. I ordered a to go bowl. I get home and look inside and it's nothing but pig feet and a huge marrow bone. As I spooned around there was nothing else to it but 4 small pieces of meat. This was very disappointing. I just paid to eat 4 small pieces and threw the rest away. I didn't bother returning it since the place is 20 minutes from my home. Very disappointed and I surely won't be back when I'm in the area. read more

I stopped by here on a Sunday around noon with my family looking to get some brunch. The place was packed and there was a ton of families eating there. Fortunately we didn't have to wait for a table as there were a few empty ones. Before I go into this review I want to mention that this place is an authentic Mexican dining experience. If you're looking for your tex mex this is not for you. The quality of the food here is phenomenal and it hits close to home. I ordered a machacado taco on corn tortilla which was handmade and absolutely delicious. With that I had a pambazo which comes with French bread stuffed with potato and chorizo, lettuce, queso fresco, beans, sour cream and a red sauce poured all over the French bread. It was very tasty to say the least. I also ordered a tortilla soup which wasn't too bad either. I was expecting their salsas to be incredibly spicier but I was let down on that end of the scoville spectrum. All in all. I wouldn't mind returning as the service was great and so was the food. Don't shy away from ordering the café de olla (coffee) as it is delicious. They seem to add cinnamon to it and you can't go wrong. They have pan dulce available here should you have a sweet tooth. Unfortunately I've started eating my meals before taking pictures but their online menu via their Facebook profile has tons of pictures and full menu. For breakfast I recommend the Chilaquiles Divorciados, yum! The Enchiladas Mexicanas are phenomenal too, I like to add fajita beef on top. I just moved to San Antonio this week and this restaurant is right next to my new home. I went in to grab some food to go one evening after moving all day, the people were amazing! They are friendly and welcoming and told me all about their karaoke and dancing nights. I ordered one of their specialty enchilada plates and it was very good. Their food is authentic. I went back last night for karaoke night and at in the restaurant and again they were amazing and welcoming and I ate the fajitas and they were so good. I think I've only ever written like 2 reviews in my life but I think this may be my new favorite place possibly ever and felt that deserved a review!
