Mambo Seafood became my go to place when I cannot think on where to take family and friends. It never fails with the service, ambiance, and the real good food! The menu is huge and everything they serve is delicious! Every time I go the crawfish has to be ordered and I try more things on the menu No other restaurant beat the crawfish they serve at Mambo!

We had a bad experience the last time we were here and decided to give them another opportunity but the food is still horrendous . My boyfriend had fish and shrimp and the fish was overcooked because it was so dry, he said the rice was greasy. I ordered vuelve a la vida small soup my soup juice was all on my plate with my spoon all full of the juice. You can literally see all the grease on the side of my bowl. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT

Unfortunately the close the location that was closed to my house, so we decided to come to this one, a very good location with a playground for the kids, the food was as expected, really good and the good prices complete a good experience for this restaurant

This restaurant has a large variety of seafood, you can choose your fish and they will cook it in front of you. There crawfish are huge and the price is right. Good drink, large amount of food.

Yosu was the best waitress. She came by to make sure are dining experience was exceptional.

Love Mambo seafood!. I ordered the grilled fish tacos with a side of mambo rice. You get 3 tacos with a generous piece of fish , cabbage, and lime slices. It was with 2 sauces all I can say is I loved the green sauce and forgot to try the other one. Wonderful margaritas,I ordered a mango one. I like the interest that the manager had in my dining experience. Olivia the manager stopped by to ask how everything was and see if I needed anything. Will definite be back again.

We had reservations, but didn't really need them. It wasn't too busy. We were greeted warmly as soon as we walked in. Plenty of parking outside, and definitely plenty of room inside. A play save for the kids. Patio seating, and a bar. We had a mango margarita, very good. I couldn't taste any liquor, but it was delicious. Also ordered the calamari, plenty on the plate to share. Maria ordered the classic number 7, grilled octopus and mambo rice. She loved it, it has good flavor and not too spicy. I had the fried crawfish, which came two pieces of fried fish, and about 4-5 fried shrimp. The best part of the plate, for me, was the stuffed shrimp. Wish the plate had more than one. Ernest had the special rice, and it was a lot, rice with pork chicken and shrimp. Of course you can customize the rice with your choice of protein. Service was really good. Waiter kept checking on us, and even the manager spent time talking to us. Very polite staff. We spoke about the food and how I am staying away from too spicy food, and want some flavorful food. He brought us the Diabla sauce, and I need some help trying to figure out what is in the sauce. I smelled the sauce and I could smell the peppers, so I was worried was going to be too spicy, boy I was so wrong. You can taste the peppers, but not the heat. Don't get me wrong, it has heat, but no so much that you start sweating or you nose starts running, or maybe that's just me. And the prices are a hit. Definitely going back.

Right when I walked in I noticed it was pretty empty. I was greeted right away and was assisted. I was here for a Yelp Event. So I was treated to some good food, and a margarita. I ordered the fried calamari, fish tacos, and a frozen mango margarita. All of it was amazingly delish. "Abel" was my waiter and the next time I visit, I will be sure to ask for that guy. He was very professional, polite, and helpful. I also met the Manager "Lupe". He was also very courteous and knowledgeable about the ingredients of the drink, to which he told me that the margarita was not made with tequila...it was made with agave wine? That explained why it was so dangerously smooth. I would order this pool or beach side all day long. The calamari was superb.

Great service from Justin. That was highlight of meal. Choices of tilapia or basa for fish are just sad for a "seafood" restaurant. They also had salmon unless you wanted to order entire whole red snapper. Wife's Basa fish tasted like the grill. I skipped fish and went for mambo shrimp. They were ok. Fried rice is promoted as a great choice. Well... It's fried rice. Nothing special at all. Vegetables had nice presentation. Wife's were barely cooked and remained on plate. It was not bad but doubt we'll go back.

Lets begin with the rice!! Wow so delicious and comforting! While visiting our old stomping grounds we stumbled upon this delicious restaurant called Mambos and we were so delighted! The food was great and so were the drinks! I had a cucumber frozen mixed drink with chamoy. I also had the fried fish and shrimp plate that was delicious. The service was great and on top of things. The looks to the was restaurant was clean and well organized with great decor. The assistant manager came up to us and asked if everything was good and we let him know it was excellent! I definitely recommend.

This place has really good lunch specials for $10. They serve you a full plate of food. The service is amazing. Their drinks are pretty good for $6.99. It's a must try if you haven't already. It's the old Joe's Crab Shack location off 410/Callaghan.

I had a few oysters that my friend ordered and they tasted very fresh and clean. Their house chelada was tasty as well with a bit of a kick. My grilled fish and shrimp were cooked perfectly and the side of fries and rice were well made as well. I have not tried the regular seasoning, but the Z-style seasoning was a nice zesty chili rub that I would order again. In fact, the side of rice was so good I would probably order a rice dish next time I go. Our server was friendly and helpful, plus the food came out fast. I was impressed by the value of Mambo's because a portion like the one I ordered (for about $16) would typically be much more expensive at a seafood restaurant.

First timer and I was pleasantly surprised. Came during lunch and the restaurant was very clean and super spacious. Bathrooms were clean and smelled great! Keep it up! The server was training and is not only being taught well but is super friendly and helpful. Very surprised to have seen the fish market area with all fish looking very fresh and on ice. They have a very large bar area too. Playground is a plus if you have kiddos! We had the #7 special and fish tacos. The taste of food is very fresh and has great spice! Can use some plating help but that was probably the only issue. Great seafood for the pricing.

From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a treat. Every meal is made to order, and you can taste the quality in every bite. The margaritas are refreshing and the perfect start to the meal. I absolutely loved the crispy empanadas--so flavorful and the perfect size to kick off the feast. The new seasonal fideo soup was like a warm hug on a chilly day--comforting and packed with flavor. If you love a little heat, the La Diabla plate is a must-try, and don't even get me started on the Mas Mambo Rice--it's a game changer. Whether you're here for a casual bite or a full-on seafood feast, Mambo Seafood has you covered. Highly recommend

GAME CHANGER! When…read moreI visit San Antonio Plantaqueria is an absolute must. I'm taken aback every time I walk into to this wonderfully positioned taqueria in downtown steps from the River Walk. The smells, the feels, the sounds- it'll set your senses on fire. It's ambience is nothing short of walking the streets of Mexico and stumbling across the best local food find there is- it's your lucky day. It doesn't end there, because I have yet to discuss the flavors that this place dishes out. If you can imagine that other taquerias in town as as good as mamma's cooking, Plantaqueria is grandma's cooking saying, " I taught them everything they know." The counter service, decor and neon lights transport you to a pueblo that you probably have no business being in but were fortunate enough to get lost in. I feel that the people working to advance this visionary concept are in love with what they do because you get that experience with every bite of fresh, homemade goodness, weather you dine in or take/order out. Dude, fresh corn and flour tortillas, C'mon, man!! And speaking of vision, the owner, Sofia, who looks like she would get IDd at a bar has created something truly unique and incredibly delicious. Plantaqueria has revolutionized modern, classical Mexican street cuisine. It's open 7am-7pm so you can literally have this all day and you might wish you did. Y'all need to get you some, and don't thank me, thank the purveyors of this Alamo City gem. P.s. I've brought my mom in to eat this stuff and she totally agrees!

(It had Just Egg but I think other things added with it. It felt that it was softer and lighter than if it was only Just Egg) and pico de gallo on handmade flour tortilla. We were surprised by how much we enjoyed it. Their two self-serve complementary salsas were also fun and creamy. Concha- Delicious and we liked the top of it. Maybe one of our favorite conchas. Elote hot cake - Came out really hot and was delicious. These are only available on weekends. I was tempted to get more but we had lots more food targets on the schedule. Torta with Asada was pretty good too. But the other items excited me more I think. The person at the front also gave us some samples of other taco fillings to try: the fillings of the La Ranchera: Potatoes and pico de gallo in salsa ranchera and also grilled nopales. My husband who is usually not as crazy as me about nopales liked them here. They have mole on the weekends but it's not housemade from scratch. They use premade mole and add some more things to it so we skipped that one. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! An Evie favorite!

That's exactly the energy at Los Weyes de la Asada. From the second you walk up, it feels alive. Not in a forced way, more like you've been there before, even if it's your first time. The kind of place where your stress, your diet, even your cruda takes a backseat. Now the food. No overthinking needed here. Everything coming out of that truck is a straight up pow pow of flavor. The carne is cooked just right, juicy with that perfect char, and the corn tortillas are legit, soft but with enough structure to hold everything together. I ordered the Mamón and the Chingón, and honestly, both lived up to the names. No misses. And the agua fresca de fresa? That sealed it. Pulled up on a Friday late night with my family ordered the standard 5 tacos. They are a bit pricey as well. I ordered the carne Asada and my mother in law ordered the chicken. While it did seem like it tasted good it was super greasy. (TMI coming up) When I woke up the next morning my I noticed my bowels were literally moving the next day, (I counted about 9 times). I felt bloated and everything. My wife even told me that as we were pulling off she witnessed the cook I believe his name is Julio eating some of the product while he was preparing peoples food (the side door of the food truck was open so you could see right in). Funny enough we decided to go back Saturday evening to give them another try, thinking it would be better, BOY was we wrong. I ordered the same order plus charro Beans, elote (corn in a cup) and 3 cans of sprite. This time we took literally one bite and the meat was DRYER than the Saharan desert both the carne asada and the chicken. (Tasted like some reheated old meat or meat that had been made days prior). We were already at the hotel at this point and was infuriated!!! We ended up calling and I believe I spoke to Julio (or whoever the cook is) over the phone. After lying saying that he cooked the meat fresh that day he stuttered I told him aint no way the meat was fresh. He then said and I quote " I cooked the meat "a couple days ago" then said "sorry I burnt it or overcooked it". (Knowing that why would you serve that to me?) I then stated "yes it tasted old period". I requested a refund in which he agreed to. Driving all the way back I brought the food back as well. Julio (or whoever the cooks name is) tried to plead his case to me saying that the meat is fresh and took a fork and tasted the food himself and then tried to offer me the food. I told him "no I don't want to taste it, just refund me please" in which he did. Dishonesty, Not handling food with care, lying. Is something that crosses the line and I won't be back. *Also if the owner is reading this I have the phone conversation recorded and the video evidence to show proof this whole interaction, so do not just glaze over this review* I don't like writing bad reviews, but this one is for sure warranted. Seems like they will dress up the taco and selling you some "old meat" people just be careful and mindful when coming to this taco truck. "The Earths Best Taco" they say... that's a stretch!
