I love the remodel and decor. The bartender was helpful with suggestions. It was a very calm night, I'd like to come back when it's more lively.

Nice cool & dark bar to escape the heat! They definitely have their AC on more than other places. Good amount of seating, good music, fun photobooth. I ordered a gummy flavored sour beer and onion rings. Both super good! Overall would recommend looking for a bar in the area.

The lounging area. Pretty dead on a Thursday night in August. Tonight there's a DJ starting at 9pm. Pools open!

Scuttled in just my luck to trivia night! Occupied a corner booth with my orange wine by myself. Could not participate due to my unfortunate thin breadth of data on earlier American pop culture but happily observed the festivities. Orange wine was tasty. The food was unnervingly overpriced. Bartender was friendly. Atmosphere was lively. Queen hostess really brought the roof down. Was accused of espionage by my suspicious booth neighbors due to my single company but that only delighted me. Noticeably older and queer crowd but that's what I assumed Ace Hotel was known for hosting. Great night :)

We loved vampy ambience of the Amigo Room. Drinks are strong and bartenders are friendly.

    Bingo and a beer!

But we were sat just as soon as we had arrived, and despite it being very hot out at the time, they had a bunch of shaded spots with misting fans. The drinks were fantastic, including mine which was a zero-proof mocktail. We all ordered different chicken dishes, and each one received high praise. I was able to try each of them and I was very happy with my fajitas, but I gotta give the nachos their dues. They were just as good. Chips were crispy all the way through, and not one was soggy from all the ingredients. Loved it, will definitely be back when I visit again. Id also like to mention that we chose this place as my friend's Bachelor Party closing dinner, and he couldn't have been happier. He was so thrilled with how the weekend had gone, that dining at Clandestino's really was the cherry on top. Thank you for making our dining experience such a pleasant one.

It caught our attention as we had stayed in two different Kimpton Hotels in Seattle prior. We wanted to grab a drink at the Window Bar (not knowing that was its actual name, but the conversation we had with the bartender about that window shining too much light at certain parts of the morning definitely gave me a chuckle in hindsight). We happened to be a bit early since he had not been able to finish setting up shop yet. We went ahead and waited until he was ready without rushing him because we ourselves weren't in any rush at all. Surrounded by a ton of nice interesting artwork, it was a pure joy to enjoy a drink or two in this environment. The bar can be found at the corner on the other side of the hotel concierge in plain sight from such a big space for a lobby, directly left upon entrance through the front. Since it was slow in the morning, we were able to chat it up with the bartender and even explore a bit of experimentation in the form of a particular top secret cocktail that every mixologist knows. I definitely exercised my etiquette and reading the conditions to even suggest it. He couldn't be any nicer about our time with him. So yeah, Christopher H. from 9/9/18, I don't know what you're talking about. I make it a point to visit the bar at any Kimpton location nowadays. I always seem to have a good time. But then again, I can only speak for myself. Parking: Street, unless you're a guest at the hotel. FYI: - Despite the hours on Yelp saying this place is open from 4-10pm, they might open earlier, as we joined in at around 11am or noon. But don't hold me to it. If there's somebody at the bar, you'll need to simply ask if it is open yet.

It was a little bit of a wait (45 minute), but we were able to sit in their waiting area and enjoy some wine. We snagged 2 spots at the bar, and were greeted by a very friendly bartender named Haley. We started the dinner off with cocktails. Haley makes incredible cocktails and had great suggestions on the menu. 5/5 service and ambiance! Steak Tartare: 5/5. This was the perfect appetizer to start our dinner experience with. It wasn't heavy, was fresh, and the chips had the perfect amount of salt on them. YUM. Escargot: 5/5. I LOVE escargot and can't get enough of it. It was cooked perfectly, was flavorful, and the toast on top was just what I needed. Who doesn't love carbs and snails? Cacio E Pepe: 5/5. On its own, it's an excellent dish, even for the pickiest eater. What a wonderful dish! Steak + Fries: 5/5. We needed more protein. This was a perfect addition to the rest of our meal. It paired well with the pasta dish. We elected to have it cooked medium-rare, and it came out cooked to the ideal temperature. We shared a bunch of dishes, which is definitely the way to experience the menu. The cocktails (not pictured) were fantastic--whether you're in the mood for a timeless classic or something a little more whimsical, there's something for everyone. The escargot was beautifully prepared and made even better by the perfectly char-grilled baguette that came alongside it. The steak tartare was an absolute flavor bomb with great seasoning, especially paired with the house-made potato chips. It leaned a touch salty, but in a way that made it the perfect appetizer and somehow had us ordering another round of cocktails. The grilled artichokes were simple, smoky, and delicious. The red curry mussels were served with that same incredible bread and an aromatic, deeply flavorful broth that we didn't want to leave behind. The smoked pork chop was another standout--beautifully charred on the outside while staying perfectly juicy inside. Beyond the food, the service was fabulous, attentive, but not rushed. The atmosphere is quintessential Palm Springs: stylish, colorful, well-lit and a lively environment overall. It made for a memorable birthday celebration, and everyone in our group left happy. We'll absolutely be back.

Well this one, located in the Arena area of Palm Springs. Theres no name or signs anywhere. You just have to know where to look. Try opening doors and see which one opens. We were walking back to the car when I noticed the doors. As l had heard so much about it but didn't know where it was. Well lucky me, I opened the door with the first try. I had an idea on where it was but didn't know where. That's where the 4 stars come in. As I had the door open, I could hear from the bar area a gentleman yelling out shut the door. Ok, I get the dark hidden concept but yelling out like that, kind of rude. Do you not want people in. It was about 11pm when we walked in. You enter and it's a dark hallway straight to the bar. That'll be what you see right when you walk in. Place is covered in a dark damask wallpaper and only light are small fixtures. So dark and demure. Bar area is the main attraction with all the seating. There's a few hi tops along the wall as well as some seating in the back area. I'm not sure how big the place is as we only went straight to the bar and sat down. The menu is printed to resemble vintage newspaper. The dark mysterious room with tufted seats and dim lights is what this place is all about. But of course you can't leave out the drinks. Centered of the bar wall, there's Udo Kier watching you. Anyways, down to the drinks. Printed on the newspaper was a perfect touch. I went with the pisco sour and we had the bartender make something else with mescal. An updated smoke and mirror I believe. Drinks were excellent which we expected. The whole place is really dark and mysterious which was a nice touch. It wasn't that busy when we arrived Friday night. A couple of people in the back area which we definitely could hear...lol... There was no list to get in as we just walked in. The only downfall with the rating, the rude remark when we walked in with shutting the door all the way from the bar area. Yes we heard it from outside. There were two bartenders working , but we did chat with one of them and she was a sweetheart. Informed us that they too will be closed down for the summer holiday but will be renovating. Places out here closes at least a month for summer holidays and with the slow season due to the heat. First impression of this place, besides the rude remark was we really liked it.
