Sure you pay for everything for decor, glassware and not just spritis, but I recall wondering how they price their drinks becuase not everything is equal or standard mark up when some things aren't house made it's easy to cost out becuase you stop paying for creativity after a certain point. It feels like they took alot of Mr. Lyons business model and use that for pricing rather than a sole entity with their own margins. The service makes up for it, the ambiance makes up for it. The crowd makes up for it. Far less wrinkled and aging snowbirds and retirees circling the drain in their waning days. People dressing up and celebrating, genuine convivialness abounds with most guests. It's not somewhere else trying bring that vibe here, it's pretty authentic. It's separate from nextdoor other than shared bathrooms, so don't be surprised when you feel like your in a different world. Most people who wander between the 2 take pause and awe for a few seconds before their mood shifts to match the room. Not a place to get sloppy and party that way unless it's a closed event. It's a great, classic PS lounge for when you have 2 groups of friends who you can entertain, the steakhouse crowd for dinner and the loungers beforehand. They were super accommodating with our large party even though we arrived late due to our dinner running over. Service was friendly and attentive. I tried two of their themed cocktails: the TSA, which was Aperol-based and refreshing, and the Stewardess, a lychee rum cocktail that was way stronger than I expected and not as sweet as I was hoping for. Overall it was a fun experience but I wish the music was louder and the lights were dimmer to make it a more party vibe. They also close at 12, which is kinda early for a bar and caught us by surprise.

We did a couples weekend trip recently and stopped in. We arrived a few minutes before opening. It's a good thing we did because the place is TINY. Not what I was expecting. We got lucky as we didn't have reservations but got sat right away. It filled up quickly. We all enjoyed our fun cocktails. The ambiance was nice and our waitress was friendly. We learned an interesting fun fact: they are affiliated with Don The Beachcomber; which is (well was - it's closed now) a few miles from my house.

The patio chairs are in the same boat; wobbly stools held together by a prayer, and what looks like clearance-rack lawn furniture. This is Palm Springs, a town famous for its mid-century modern design, and the seating currently looks like it lost a fight with a garage sale. The minute I came back from the restroom to my seat, this lovely elderly gentlemen invited me to dance. Since he was more like my friend's age, she thought that he was about to ask her to dance..
