Our favorite tacos + their dollar tacos on Tuesdays and Thursdays are unbeatable. Highly recommend the chorizo or steak taco.

I'll start by saying the food is pretty tasty here and they make it fresh. I never bothered trying it because I didn't think a place that does both Mexican food and pizza could make either very well, but I was wrong, at least in regards to what we ordered. The steak tacos and cheese enchiladas (with verde) are both quite delicious. I also liked the flavor of the rice, but not the beans. Plus the beans were rather runny. In addition, the portion size of the rice & beans provided with the dinners is small. Now for the bigger problem - there is not an accurate menu to be found online, so we had a bit of sticker shock walking in to see that the dinners are $3-$4 higher than what's on their official website. The menu they have posted over on their Facebook page (which I've included here) is even more outdated even though they uploaded it just a year ago. And the menu on Yelp is incorrect too. Expect to pay more for everything. When I asked if they had a menu I could take, they didn't have any. I don't like walking in expecting to spend $17.50 (plus tax) and end up forking over more than $25 (once you factor in tax) for just two dinners and no add-ons. For that price I could go to a fancier restaurant. For that reason alone, I probably won't be back. read more

It was delicious! Aside from the taco dinner, my boyfriend got the burrito dinner. The service was fast and everything tasted delicious. The burrito had a nice crispy outside and a delicious bite inside. I highly recommend this place. read more

Amigos pizza and Tacos is no longer here, and had I known they were leaving, I'd have eaten there every day for at least a. Week! "Amigas" is now the restaurant that is in their space. This place is a little known secret in our area. Located in a small hole-in-the-wall section of a strip mall in Carol Stream. This place offers authentic Mexican food as well as pizza. Yes, you read correctly, pizza. I can't speak to their pizza because I have never had it. But I have been here dozens of times for their Mexican food and it is good, really good! I feel for these guys because the completion for them is huge in this area. Three new Mexican food places have opened up within a few blocks from them in just the past few years. Their food though has held up to the competition. Their ingredients are top notch the quality can't be beat. I am partial to their burritos, particularly the al pastor. My wife is a taco fanatic. How would one describe a business that is a hole in a wall? One would say not located in the middle of a busy intersection. Another would say that it looks like a poorly kept place. For me, hole in the wall means that it is a diamond in the rough that no one knows about. Off of schmale and in a strip mall, sometimes the sign is on. It is fairly easy to miss if you have never been there. When you get in there, it may not look fancy or ritzy, but you can the feel of the place for having authentic food. The restaurant is family owned, and their food is to die for. I've been going here for several years and the food has been consistently delicious. You've got the tacos (amazing), burritos (fantastic as carne asada especially when you add avocado in there), guac and chips (made fresh), and my new favorite the ground beef quesadilla (savory as hell). All of these are on repeat for me. If I had the stomach, I would order a whole party platter of any of these and try the rest of the other protein offerings they have just to satisfy my gluttony. I've been to some of the competitors around there, and they've been okay at best. One of my favorite Mexican restaurants of all time (that's saying much since I'm from California)! This place is an absolute gem! At first, I was hesitant to order catering from a place that sells pizza AND tacos. How authentic can it be? Took a risk, and was not disappointed. The office digged in before I could take a picture of all the food items. We had tacos, burritos, quesadillas, tortas and homemade guacamole. Everything was amazing and the staff was fabulous. Decent place for decent Mexican food late nite. This place is open everyday at 1am. 1:30am on Fridays and Saturdays! Service: More of a takeout place. Typical hole in the wall service. Ladies are generally friendly. Food comes out pretty fast as well. Atmosphere: Place is clean and quiet late nite. Not really much space to eat, but no one is there late nite usually. It always looks like it is closed because of the tinted windows lol. The lighting inside is pretty easy on they eyes as well. Place could use a little background music. Food: Everything was hot and tasted pretty good. The chicken is marinated with a zesty sauce. All the prices are very cheap, but the portions are fairly generous. The burritos are a really good value. The tacos are full of flavor as well. I am not really a fan of their house salsa, but I can't complain about free chips and salsa for dine in. This place is a really good alternative to late nite Taco Bell. I absolutely hate Taco Bell lol. Food definitely hits the spot, and the food goes down smooth unlike most Mexican food establishments. Better than average takeout/delivery place. I can't comment on the pizza but the Mexican food is amazing. It's run by Mexicans (English is good) so the food is authentic. Way overpriced compared to most similar places but still not going to break the bank, plus it's the only local place I know of that delivers Mexican food. In response ot Sara's review, the dine-in amenities are about on par with what you'd expect from a takeout/delivery place. There's a few tables but they're not very comfortable and the quarters are somewhat cramped, but the place has always been very clean when I've eaten there. The dine-in experience should be fine for a lunch break on your own but this isn't the place to bring a first date. read more

The food is the best around! The salsa is the best of any Mexican restaurant I have ever tried. It's small, but I can usually find a seat, and the service is quick and friendly. Weekend specials, and they have stuff that you can't find at some other taco restaurants like lengua, Menudo, Posole, Birria, and the staple of all great Mexican restaurants, Horchata. First impression - ok I'll try out a TACO/PIZZA place, as awkward as it sounds. Second impression - this place sucks! My fiancé went in to order a pizza tonight and was "greeted" by some girl texting. He tried to order a pizza and was told by her in between texts that they had too many orders as is and couldn't take anymore. We have had their burritos before and though they were good they were the size of most other places baby burritos and over priced. So I'm not the biggest fan when it comes to burritos, I prefer tacos. But this place with their burritos is oh my holy guacamole! The size of those things fills you up for 2 meals! They stuff it with meat, and toppings of your choice! They aren't petty with food. And get this if you are a cheese lover like my husband they can put the cheese on top of the burritos melted! Their salsa is on the hotter side so careful with that if you have sensative taste buds but I love it! Called for delivery at 11 pm, the woman on the phone told me to hold because she didn't know what manicotti was and needed to ask if they served it. Then she told me they do have it but not right now. So I asked her, what do you have right now? She said hold on. Waited again, she got back to the phone and began listing each thing they offered at the time. I couldn't deal with it so I gave the phone to my co-orderer. He ordered (per the menu pricing) asada quesadilla $5, burrito $4, fried mushrooms $3.75. Delivery fee $2.00 Mind you, the woman did not know what fried mushrooms were and we had to explain where on the menu they were and then had to explain what they were. Unreal. So we spent about 15 minutes on the phone with her placing the order. She reads the total to $22!!! WELL THAT'S CONFUSING!? So we went to confirm the menu prices with her to make sure the menu was right. IT WAS but THEY CHARGE YOU MORE FOR THE FOOD PLUS A DELIVERY FEE. Explanation: because its delivery. Right, that's why you charge a delivery fee.... Didn't order and never will. Piss poor service. read more
