I don't usually buy food at San Francisco International Airport, but this is one spot I don't mind. I've only tried their falafel so far (wrap + hummus), and it's actually pretty solid. The falafel is flavorful, and the hummus is really good. If you order hummus on its own, they give you a pretty big portion, so it's worth getting something to go with it. It's not the most authentic, but for airport food, the flavor is definitely there. Portions are decent, though the price is a bit high (expected for SFO). Overall, a solid 4/5, one of the better options at the airport. read more

This wasn't a bad option as far as airport food options go. The food itself was really good; I got the chicken kebab plate. It came with a couple skewers, rice, some hummus and pita. They also had a cooler with prepared items, like fruit cups or water and whatnot. There was a touchscreen from which you could order and, since it was busy, they were also taking orders at the register. The food was really expensive, but that's not a surprise in an airport. I don't like that they serve their food with wooden utensils. Sustainability is important, but with every bite a strange tasted was included from the wooden fork. Good airport food, better than most other options in SFO. Stopped here for a quick breakfast as their offerings seemed healthy and freshly made. They have eggs prepared a few ways with your choice of potatoes and pita. They also do croissant with scrambled eggs. I asked for a customised combination - their signature Mediterranean omelet minus the potatoes and the pita swapped with a plain croissant. The omelet was warm and freshly made, the croissant was warmed up too. They paired well together and the omelet seemed healthy and balanced. The lettuce was yellowed, the tomato sparse. The garlic cream sauce was a delicious savior of the meal. If I find myself in the same situation in the future, I may go with a mezze plate or try a neighboring food stand. Not a bad choice overall if you're looking for a quick, relatively healthy bite to eat. Mediocre food with really bad attitude from the servers. Quick layover abs decided to get something tasty based on what the menu showed. I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap along with the Horiatiki Salad (Greek salad with feta cheese). I also ordered a side of pita to go with my salad. The salad was average at best. As you can see from the picture, there was more water in it vs olive oil which is the basic dressing ingredient, thus making the salad taste worse than it should. Too bad because otherwise it was fairly fresh but I don't want water in my salad. The side of pita was lukewarm at best, simply inedible because if pita isn't warm it is harder to chew and not pleasant to the taste buds. The shawarma was poorly wrapped, most items came loose unless you maintained a tight grip on it which is very hard to do when you try to eat, drink, rest etc. Additionally, it was barely warm, when a chicken shawarma should be very warm or even served hot. Finally, I asked for napkins and she pointed (silently) to the ONE napkin she had placed on my tray, further discouraging me from even asking for one more. Messy food, one napkin... Dinner at an airport is never something fun but I'm glad I got to try Amoura Cafe which is located inside the terminal next to Super Duper Burgers, Bun Mee, and Ladle & Leaf. A little small food court is waiting for your decision and I decided to try this Mediterranean style spot because I actually do enjoy eating kabobs from time to time. I got a chicken kabob which in total with tax is $15.48. It comes with two skewers of chicken kabobs and in between the chicken has some vegetables that are also grilled with it. The plate also comes with a hefty side of hummus, cold salad and 4 pieces of pita bread and rice!! Split that between two people and you're enjoying a meal that is making both parties feel full and ready to go onto the next flight! Really fast if you need to grab a quick bite at the airport. Trade-off is that the food isn't exactly that tasty. I ordered the falafel side and a chicken shawarma wrap. The falafels were just okay. The chicken wrap was very saucy (+) but had dill pickles in it?? (-) Not sure if that's supposed to be normal but I don't like pickles in my wraps anyway. Either way was kinda tasteless too. I already know I like the Marlborough wine. Water was refreshing. The salad wS mostly cucumber. Skimpy 4 olives and barely any feta for the size of the salad.
