This wasn't a bad option as far as airport food options go. The food itself was really good; I got the chicken kebab plate. It came with a couple skewers, rice, some hummus and pita. They also had a cooler with prepared items, like fruit cups or water and whatnot. There was a touchscreen from which you could order and, since it was busy, they were also taking orders at the register. The food was really expensive, but that's not a surprise in an airport. I don't like that they serve their food with wooden utensils. Sustainability is important, but with every bite a strange tasted was included from the wooden fork. It took away from the taste of the food. read more

I don't usually buy food at San Francisco International Airport, but this is one spot I don't mind. I've only tried their falafel so far (wrap + hummus), and it's actually pretty solid. The falafel is flavorful, and the hummus is really good. If you order hummus on its own, they give you a pretty big portion, so it's worth getting something to go with it. It's not the most authentic, but for airport food, the flavor is definitely there. Portions are decent, though the price is a bit high (expected for SFO). Overall, a solid 4/5, one of the better options at the airport. read more

Good airport food, better than most other options in SFO. Stopped here for a quick breakfast as their offerings seemed healthy and freshly made. They have eggs prepared a few ways with your choice of potatoes and pita. They also do croissant with scrambled eggs. I asked for a customised combination - their signature Mediterranean omelet minus the potatoes and the pita swapped with a plain croissant. The omelet was warm and freshly made, the croissant was warmed up too. They paired well together and the omelet seemed healthy and balanced. I got the meal to go and ate in the food court area nearby. 3.5/5 rounded up for the efficient and friendly service. read more

I had an early and long flight from SFO airport earlier this week. I stopped at Amoura cafe to pick up some food. There was no line. The server was nice. I got an omelette with potatoes and pita bread. They were nice enough to put my choice of vegetables in the omelette. I also got some tea, a banana, and yogurt parfait. The total price was about $38, which was slightly cheaper compared to the other airport restaurants. The pita was somewhat hard and chewy, but the omelette, potato, and parfait were quite good. And the food was enough for my breakfast and lunch. So, overall, I was happy with the experience there. read more

We were looking for breakfast for a morning flight out of SFO. We were flying United so I knew it had to be in Terminal 3 - I found Amoura Cafe. I see there are a range of reviews for other meals but we were very happy with our breakfast meal there. We waited a short time in line and chose the breakfast sandwich. I enjoy a croissant and saw the sandwich prepared right before us (so we know it wasn't sitting there for hours like a lot of restaurant food prepared in advance). The bacon, egg and cheese croissant even came with a side of homestyle (fried) potatoes. A tasty breakfast that was not inexpensive but on par with what I expect to pay at major airports. The next time we have an early morning flight out of SFO (with United) we'll visit Amoura Cafe again. read more

I found this place on my way between the 2 United Terminals. It was a good surprise to see a healthy option at the airport. There were many variety of prepackaged meals for to-go for the passengers on the counter. I got the falafal sandwich wrap and it was decent. It was more pricier than Portland and a bit smaller. read more

So headed out on a trip decided to stop by and grab a bite to eat his breakfast time so I needed some. They actually make eggs they like to order so I really like that about it and that's what actually Drew me to order from them as my option I ordered the croissant with egg cheese and turkey sausage and homemade fries, which I'm not a home fries person. The eggs were actually scrambled perfectly light fluffy Rich buttery little bit of cheese, not too much.. The croissant was flaky fluffy fresh decent size so all I equate to a really good sandwich. It's actually something that I'd have the sausage was just a turkey sausage. It wasn't really anything special about it. Was heading out on an early morning flight and found Amoura Cafe on my way to the gate. Looked like the perfect place to grab breakfast, so I did! The counter has lots of food items to grab and there's a kitchen in back that cooks hot meals. I took advantage of the latter and ordered an omelet which came with a side of potatoes and pita bread (nice touch!). Very filling meal, and there was plenty of seating available around the storefront. Will definitely come back here again for breakfast if I find myself here! read more

This was like $18-19. Overpriced at the airport like everything else. The cashier was nice. The meat was kind of tender and chewy. Hummus was good. Salad was good. Pita bread was kind of soft. Fine? Airport food is pretty mid anywhere you go. However, while expensive and generic, it was seemingly healthy. I went with the chicken plate, with a side salad, pita and a bit of hummus. Running in at $18+, it was freshly reheated, but pretty uninspired flavor, but again, healthy. Overall, a solid and healthy meal. I don't think I'd return, but not a terrible option. read more

I stopped by Amoura ten minutes before boarding my flight at the adjacent gate; I figured Mediterranean would pack well & not be too greasy/odorous for my fellow passengers. The service was exceptionally kind, and the line moved along well. It's in a food court set-up & seating could be unavailable if you come at a busy time. I took my food to-go and grabbed a couple bites at my gate. Airport food is never inexpensive, but at $15 for a Chicken Shawarma Pita Wrap, I was hoping for a bit more culinary effort. The chicken was breast meat, cut into strips, and was drying out in a chafing dish. The pita was from the large collection of bags behind the till, and pretty much fit the bill (dry). The lettuce was yellowed, the tomato sparse. The garlic cream sauce was a delicious savior of the meal. If I find myself in the same situation in the future, I may go with a mezze plate or try a neighboring food stand. Not a bad choice overall if you're looking for a quick, relatively healthy bite to eat. I received only one glance from a fellow passenger, who smirked at the extremely crinkly bag I pulled from my backpack during the flight. I smiled back & enjoyed my wrap at cruising altitude. Mediocre food with really bad attitude from the servers. Quick layover abs decided to get something tasty based on what the menu showed. I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap along with the Horiatiki Salad (Greek salad with feta cheese). I also ordered a side of pita to go with my salad. The salad was average at best. As you can see from the picture, there was more water in it vs olive oil which is the basic dressing ingredient, thus making the salad taste worse than it should. Too bad because otherwise it was fairly fresh but I don't want water in my salad. The side of pita was lukewarm at best, simply inedible because if pita isn't warm it is harder to chew and not pleasant to the taste buds. The shawarma was poorly wrapped, most items came loose unless you maintained a tight grip on it which is very hard to do when you try to eat, drink, rest etc. Additionally, it was barely warm, when a chicken shawarma should be very warm or even served hot. Finally, I asked for napkins and she pointed (silently) to the ONE napkin she had placed on my tray, further discouraging me from even asking for one more. Messy food, one napkin... Regretted my decision to stop by here vs choosing another place in the food court... read more

Airport food are expected to not be the greatest but this platter was on another level. The pita bread was not warmed/hot, the rice was mushy, and the beef tasted worst than unseasoned ground beef. $21 for this. I think it's better to go somewhere else. Everything is pre made and put into a box with warm mushy rice. Not recommended. Service was ok, not a lot of interaction. read more

Usually I'm not enamored with airport food, but the spinach spanakopita here and the wine selection really hit the mark tonight. The spanakopita was fresh, philo was crispy and overall was delicious with the tadziki sauce. The wine selection for an airport restaurant was amazing- had a lovely Pinot noir from Oregon. My only recommendation is to have the wine list prices displayed on the menu. Definitely will be back when I'm back in terminal 3. read more

I usually don't have great expectations with airport food but this place won't disappoint you. We stopped here for lunch before boarding our flight. I ordered the Veggie sandwich which had eggplant, feta cheese and pesto. My husband got the Shawerma wrap. They prepare after you order which means the food is fresh. They also had good vegetarian and vegan options. Food was nice and flavorful. They also packed it neatly in case you want to carry it on the flight. Price was a tad bit on the higher side but that's expected in SFO. No nonsense place with quick and good quality food, would stop again. read more

Bathroom: Didn't use Dining Area: This restaurant uses the general airport dining hall. Customer Service 5/5: This restaurant offers excellent customer service. When I asked for recommendations she was able to offer multiple recommendations including the most popular choices. Food/Drinks 4/5: The food was good. I have no real complaints about the food. Dinner at an airport is never something fun but I'm glad I got to try Amoura Cafe which is located inside the terminal next to Super Duper Burgers, Bun Mee, and Ladle & Leaf. A little small food court is waiting for your decision and I decided to try this Mediterranean style spot because I actually do enjoy eating kabobs from time to time. I got a chicken kabob which in total with tax is $15.48. It comes with two skewers of chicken kabobs and in between the chicken has some vegetables that are also grilled with it. The plate also comes with a hefty side of hummus, cold salad and 4 pieces of pita bread and rice!! Split that between two people and you're enjoying a meal that is making both parties feel full and ready to go onto the next flight! Overall I thought portion size was great and it will be a super filling meal if your hungry. I wasn't that hungry so decided to split the meal. read more

Do not eat here. Food is bland and cold. Ordered a beef shawarma platter with a spanakopita for 39 dollars. Ended up throwing the spanakopita away after one bite because the bland spinach and cold consistency made me sick. Beef was dry but edible and the hummus and pita was the only portion remotely edible. Overall for near 50$ you can have a full meal and a drink at any other establishment in the terminal. read more

Really fast if you need to grab a quick bite at the airport. Trade-off is that the food isn't exactly that tasty. I ordered the falafel side and a chicken shawarma wrap. The falafels were just okay. The chicken wrap was very saucy (+) but had dill pickles in it?? (-) Not sure if that's supposed to be normal but I don't like pickles in my wraps anyway. Either way was kinda tasteless too. Overall, not great but not bad. I ate all the food and expensed it for my work trip so at least I'm not the one to pay for it read more

I already know I like the Marlborough wine. Water was refreshing. The salad wS mostly cucumber. Skimpy 4 olives and barely any feta for the size of the salad. I don't think there was even a drizzle of dressing. Not aweful, but could have been more balanced. I like to enjoy every bite, not just a few. I'd ask for extra kalamatas & feta & if they have dressing as on the menu. Service was good. Ambiance the airport. read more

The reviews mislead me to get food for the plane. Let's start with taste, it is pretty bland and tasteless, the portions are meager and the supervisor/cashier is this really crabby lady for boot. The cost is probably on par for the airport ripoff. Koi Express a couple of stalls down at SFO, is a far better value. read more

While in San Fran I grabbed a quick bite to eat before I caught my flight back home to Hawaii. I love Mediterranean cuisine so when I saw this place I ventured over to see what they had to offer. I got the chicken shawarma wrap. It came with a tzatziki sauce, pickles, and lettuce. The chicken was very flavorful and tender, the sauce was yummy as well. It came wrapped in a pita. It was filling enough for me. They also have platters where you get a small Greek salad, pita, and hummus. I am glad I chose to grab something here. The kebabs were made with chicken breast, but very tender and moist, and the side of hummus was fresh, creamy and delicious. We also tried the sangria which was great- not too sweet and decently strong (not watered down bad wine). For dessert, the lemon cake was tasty but odd that dried cranberries were sprinkled into the whipped cream. I appreciated the variety offered on the menu- not just typical Greek food you find everywhere else that touts "Mediterranean food". The service was super nice and efficient, and I like that it has been family owned and run (sadly an increasingly rare San Francisco characteristic these days)- you can tell the difference in the quality and thought put into the experience.

Persian noodle soup, filled with beans, chickpeas, and lentils; loved the floral notes in every spoonful.
