My rental house owner has a service schedule with Amrid to spray quarterly for pests. While they do have a service window of a few hours, we've never had a problem with them not coming, and usually, I get a phone call when they are on their way to our house. The 2 different people that come to our house are always polite, explain what they're doing and give options of treating anything outside what the basic plan covers. Our rental house had a small opening in a back corner where landscapers had knocked off some wood siding trying to get by a narrow gate. The Amrid employee did a quick check of the opening and determined mice had been inside that opening. While the house owner oddly declined to place traps, I was at least presented with treatment options including why it wasn't a good idea to close up the opening until we were sure mice weren't still inside the garage wall. I recently called them to do a termite inspection for a house we are buying and it turned out as part of the regular house inspection, the inspector also did a WDI inspection. The gentleman from Amrid was honest and generous enough to not redo the WDI inspection since we already had it done or charge us. He was kind enough to walk us through the other inspector's recommendations and findings and quote us for treatment of our new house that he suggested we schedule prior to moving in. If there was an option for 0 stars I would give it, but that is not an option. I have been trying to give Amrid my business now for several weeks and they keep refusing to take my money. If you are looking for a pest control service in the Heights, find someone else. I scheduled an appointment for an initial walk down, the guy was supposed to show up from 12-4. He showed up right at 4 pm, yes it was in the time allotted but it took up my time in the evening with my family. He spent more time trying to sell me irrigation / drainage system from his side business than he did inspecting my house for rodents. We scheduled the service for the following day. I take off work again to meet him and he never showed. Apparently he never reported it to the main office. They said "a family emergency" came up. So be it. Things happen. The admin told me I would have to wait for 2-3 weeks until he returned for him to complete the service, because they don't like to send a different tech out to do the work. You only have 2 people that can fill holes and put up rat traps. What is this? Is this real life? The main office admin finally reached back out to me about a follow up appointment (after a week). They wanted to schedule an additional 2 appointments in order to fix the problem. That means me taking more time off. We schedule the second appointment from 12-3. 2:00 rolls around and no sign of the tech. I reach out to the admin and ask the tech to give me a call to confirm he was still coming. I get a call back. He confirms. The guy never shows, and then the admin calls to tell me his "truck broke down". I told them I was tired of being jerked around and all the excuses. Not once did she apologize or provide me with some discount on the services. How many excuses does a company have. These are the kind of excuses I would give when I was 16 at my first part time job... I have never been treated this way, ever. Some advice to the staff at Amrid: hire a competent admin to answer the phones and schedule appointments, hire reliable people, and get a new website. It looks like something a kindergartener could make. Grade A garbage company. read more

Paid $216.50 for a can of Spectracide you can buy at Home Depot for $2.97 The technician, Casey, was nice enough, but really robbed us blind! Wanted to charge use $10 a hole to spray for carpenter bees so it was going to be $280. plus tax but gave me a deal for only $200 plus tax. I looked on line to see how much the 1 can of 16oz. Aerosol Carpenter Bee and Ground-Nesting Yellowjacket Killer Foam was and any Home Depot sels it for $2.97. read more

Would not use Amrid Pest Control. Left front window to home wide open after doing inspection. Thank goodness it was not raining. There were 2 people from Amrid Neither one checked to make sure they closed the windows they opened. Paul was very rude. This was only an inspection would not trust them to do actual work. read more

The did a termite inspection for us after we had seen crawlers for a few weeks. They were prompt in scheduling, professional, and really too the time to be thorough and to explain what they were seeing. Thank goodness no permanent residents were found. They did find a few potential problem areas, and suggested how we could mitigate these easily. No hassling about signing long term deals, no product upsells. When you call them, you talk to an actual person who understands the business, and its clear that your call actually is important. I will absolutely use them again for pest control services and would recommend them to family and friends. read more

This company isn't very friendly. I saw two technicians that came to my house get into a disagreement about the service that I was to have. One actually explained it to where I could understand it and one didn't got very angry at the other for his being so contradicting to what he was saying. read more

Great expertise and very honest! They really inspect your house including crawling space, which other very famous brands usually do not do. Also they really tell you what treatment is needed even if this is a treatment they do not offer.
