I ordered at idly togo at 7.30pm and they just gave me a stone cold ones. Not really sure if they gave us idly from morning. When i called back they are saying they made it just now, which is straight out lie. This is not the first time we had bad experience with food and service here. read more

This place we discovered last month. It is an absolute treat for your taste buds if you appreciate the authentic South Indian food. We find ourselves going to this place almost couple of times a week if not more. The prices are extremely reasonable and staff is very attentive. Telangana / Andhra style, vegetarian tiffin restaurant off to a very promising start! The weekend crowd was massive since they opened a week ago and had a promo on the food. All dishes were flavorful! Pongal, Sambar and chutneys were a huge hit ( they serve peanut, ginger and tomato chutneys, no coconut chutney but it wasn't missed)! Pesarattu was thin, (I don't like it thick), tasty and a welcome treat! Customer service was very good, as well in spite of the crowds. I wish I had taken pictures! I got the Mysore masala dosa and it was delicious. It came with a ginger, tomato and peanut chutneys. All of the chutneys and the lentil soup was great. They also have a chai station to wash it all down with. Staff was really helpful and explained everything to us. Price was also pretty reasonable. Overall I would come back. This is our usual go-to for authentic south Indian food. Best in the area. The tastes are so close to home. We tried so many things from their menu...Idli, Vada, Rava Dosa, Mysore Masala Dosa, Bandi Dosa, fried idli etc. All are so good...my favorite is the Mysore Masala Dosa. Special mention to the yummy sambar and chutneys. Their Thali which is my husbands favorite tastes just like home...not oily or overly spicy..just perfect Vijayawada favors. Their sweets and savory snacks (laddo, chekkalu, ariselu) are also very yummy. The staff is always very friendly and attentive. We are so glad this awesome place is in our neighborhood. I hope the quality of the good never changes. read more

Food is great quality, no doubt about that. We ordered Mysore and Masala dosa and enjoyed both of it. Just one thing, they can improve upon is their size. Either the size can but bigger or dosa can be somewhat thick. Otherwise everything is great, considering they just recently opened. read more

Figuring out where to sit dampens the mood, as you have to first find the lady with the clip board in her hands to have her write down your name, and then keep waiting for her to decide where we will sit!! Good food at reasonable prices. Rava masala dosa is my favorite. It is one of the best rava masala dosa I have eaten.

Got takeout. Dosas and sambar (our main items) could have been better. Veg cutlet and puris/channa were great!

Had idly and mysore masala dosa. Orders are quick and fresh. It was good, although the chutneys are kind of watery. You have to service yourself with paper plates and water/chai. Chai in the dispenser tasted really old. Plastic spoons only, no forks. Napkins are the thin small square kind where you end up using a bunch of it because they disintegrate. I always wonder why not just use full-size napkins it will come out to be less expensive than the cheap ones where the customer has to grab a whole bunch and ends up costing the restaurant more. In word word - Awesome!. As local San Ramon residents, we craved a good South Indian place nearby and Amrutha Vilas fits the bill. All the dishes we ordered from dosas to bondas and thalis were good. Special mention for their accompanying ginger chutney - to die for. As with all new establishments, they are somewhat overwhelmed with the crush of new patrons. Expanding to al fresco dining with heaters, but still a work in progress. Enthusiastic, attentive staff. Hope they maintain the standards past the incipient stages. read more

The best Dosa places in its area. The restaurant is 35 miles away from us and we prefer to have brunch at this place.

Recently we visited this place couple of times.both times disappointing. Initially for Ghee Idly they poured lot of ghee. Recent visits both time it was just couple of spoons of ghee. Both times, we also ordered dosa and after washing hands with soap multiple times, we could smell the bad oil that was used. The food is outstanding, and the service is even more remarkable. The woman at the counter has the ability to propel the restaurant to success all on her own. I visited with my parents, and they thoroughly enjoyed the Thali! I hope they maintain this level of quality. Only gripe is that I saw a lady behind the counter, sip watermelon juice from a cup, similar to what they serve their juices in. It was just a sip, so it got me thinking if that cup was meant for a customer. Hopefully not. Willing to give a benefit of doubt on that one, so not reducing any stars. read more

We went for lunch on Sunday. The food was ok. My husband's food came 1st and we thought mine will be coming soon. My food did not come until he was done and I was missing chutney. I told waiter but she got busy so she forgot to bring chutney. I had to go get it myself. The ordering and sitting is not convenient at all. It gets conjugated. Also, they serve food in paper plates and plastic utensils. They need to improve on ordering serving and service to gain my at least 4****. read more

We had some good food here- got an onion masala dosa , Mysore masala dosa with Mysore bonda. The ginger chutney and tomato chutney were tasty. However, the masala in the dosas were pretty oily and service was not the best. Also, the complimentary tea only comes in a styrofoam cup which is hazardous to the planet and our health and needs to be avoided if possible. read more

Today we went for lunch to this restaurant. We were three. We ordered masala dosa, Mysore masala dosa, onion dosa and vada. All 3 items were very tasty. The service was very good; the place was very clean, well lighted, good tables and chairs; and clean restroom. We would definitely go there for lunch and dinner and try other items. They have very good selection of menu items. The prices are very reasonable. All their chuntneys and sambar were excellent too. Ginger chutney was a surprise. We came here on Friday for lunch. Food was fresh and delicious. We had the onion chilli uttapam, and the masala dosa. They came with sambhar and three chutneys. All were enjoyable, although the coconut chutney appeared more like a peanut chutney in taste and appearance. I am guessing it was not coconut chutney. The prices can't be beat.
