    Sp1. House Rice Clay Pot.

I was excited to find a restaurant that's entirely vegan, tucked into a little complex full of Indian restaurants and shops. The vibe was cozy and cheerful. When we arrived there were a few other families dining; a server kindly showed us to our table, but another customer got upset about the seating and made a scene. I felt bad for the server -- if you have an issue with seating, please ask politely so staff can help. That brief incident did dampen my excitement, but I decided to focus on the food since a friend had recommended the place. Food-wise, this spot is worth a visit. The house rice claypot is a must-try -- I could have eaten that on its own, it was so flavorful. The jalapeño tofu was served hot and crispy; we ended up taking it home and it was perfect with naan. The vegan "fish" wasn't my favorite, though that might have been influenced by the order timing -- the rice arrived first, the fish came when the rice was almost gone, and the tofu showed up after we were mostly done. Service felt a bit slow or disorganized, which is understandable if they were short-staffed. Overall I enjoyed the food and would definitely come back to try more from the menu. Great to have an all-vegan spot in Pleasanton -- a few tweaks to timing and handling seating issues would make it even better.

Loved it! Delicious vegan food served fast, and the location is a great pit stop on the way to or from the Bay. I tried the Drumsticks and Sweet Orange and both were tasty and satisfying. It's quite nice to find this all vegan spot in an area that's no exactly known for vegans or vegan food. It's mostly Asian cuisine with some American desserts. So basically perfect. They don't take reservations but I went at 12:30 on a Friday with a group of 6 and had no problems getting a table. One of my friends brought her kiddo, and they offered her a highchair or a booster seat. Everything we ordered was super good. Nothing comes with rice so you have to pay $3 for a side of white rice or $4 for a side of organic brown rice. The brown rice was fancier than regular brown rice. It was like brown rice mixed with red rice. We ordered the following dishes: lemongrass chicken, spicy curry soy chicken, queens, a soup, spring rolls, avocado fresh rolls, and sweet and sour tofu. The chocolate cake looked so good so I really want to get that next time. They also have Thai iced tea which is hard to find vegan.

I love Vietnamese vegan food. I used to live in San Jose where there are a lot of great Vietnamese vegan spots, so I have high expectations. Since moving to the East Bay, the options are more limited. I had a craving and decided to try Blossom Vegan even though I am not vegan. I ordered the kelp noodle salad and it was really good. I liked the slight crunch of the noodles and it reminded me a bit of a poke bowl. The dressing was flavorful but light, and everything felt well balanced. I would definitely recommend this dish. I also ordered the spicy noodle soup, bun bo hue. This one was just okay for me. I have had vegan versions at other places where the broth had more depth and umami. This broth felt pretty light and did not stand out as much. My partner ordered the Chef Tasty's Treat, which is supposed to be similar to shaking beef, bo luc lac, but it really was not. It was basically fried cubes of soy protein without much flavor. Shaking beef should have a savory soy sauce style glaze, and this dish really needed some kind of sauce. I would not recommend this one. The restaurant is in a plaza and parking is a bit tight. Even with a couple of misses, I would still come back to try other dishes, especially after how much I liked the kelp noodle salad.

On our way home from Santa Cruz, we stopped by the Blossom Vegan restaurant for some stir-fried vegetable chow mein with tofu. It was very good and the service was friendly.

I'm not a fan of fake meats, but we had an out-of-town guest who's vegan, so we decided to give this place a try. I was pleasantly by several of the dishes. The place feels very homey, and the service was good. What we ordered: + Yum Yum vermicelli - this was really good with lots of raw veggies, like bean sprouts, cucumbers, and lettuce. The eggless roll was so good. It was light and flakey. The soy protein resembled beef and had a beef texture, but not beef taste. + Spicy Potato Curry - The potato and curry sauce was very good. It does not come with rice, but you can order that separately. + Spicy chacha - soy "shrimp" is battered and fried and sits on a bed of lettuce, cabbage and shredded carrots. + Sweet and Sour Savory - this reminds me of sweet and sour pork, but with soy protein instead. Flavor is good, but not a big fan of soy protein. Overall, the flavors are really good. I would stick to the veggies and tofu if you're not into soy protein like me.

I ordered way too much food! Here I am used to much smaller portions provided by Chinese restaurants in Oakland and thought I would have enough leftover for lunch tomorrow instead I will have enough left over for lunch dinner and lunch the next day. The curry dip was so good and it's so nice to get a vegan version of the platha, which isn't usually available at most restaurants that offer this. It was tender and flaky and chewy and delicious. These are really excellent portions. Heavy frying with thick batter but not overly doughy and I think that it will crisp fine in the toaster oven. I also got the Thai iced tea, which was delicious. I will definitely return to blossom vegan restaurant and bring friends!

We tried Blossom Vegan after a day shopping the outlet stores down the road. There aren't a lot of vegan options in the Livermore/Pleasanton area, but this is a great choice. We ordered mushu mushu, raw kale drink, spicy potato curry, and sesame eggplant tofu. Everything was very good, I think the eggplant was the winner. Curry was not particularly spicy, we asked for medium, it seemed quite mild. The veggie rolls were an item I was happy I tried but probably would not order again. Kale juice was refreshing. If we're out this way again, we'd definitely return to Blossom. Service is good, the restaurant is clean, but the parking lot can get a bit crowded.

    Any gluten free options?

Many gluten free, but always best to discuss prior to placing your order anywhere.

Do you take reservations for Saturday lunch?

Are you open for indoor dining?

    Yes

When are you going to have indoor dining?

    It's open now

Voice mail says open weekends until 6:00pm. No answer when I call. Have the hours changed?? Temporarily closed?

Closed Tuesdays for sure but usually only days and maybe Mondays

What is in their mushu mushu? I know the menu says: avocado, carrots, cabbage, and the paratha but there's other things in it (I'm eating it at the moment). Anyone know?

It's most likely the soy meat strips

Just wanted to ask everyone what there most favorite dish here is. Mushu mushu doesn't count we all know that's amazing already?

Can't go wrong with the Chef's Tasty Treats ($12.95)!

Can they make food without onion too?

    Of course!

They have plenty of options--beef, chicken, and veggie burgers--so there's something for everyone. The shakes are definitely richer and heavier than In-N-Out's, and each one comes with a donut, which the kids loved! They also hand out stickers to children, and the burgers are served with delicious fries. If you're looking for lighter choices, they offer Brussels sprouts and salads, along with a grilled cheese sandwich. And for the adults, they even serve beer. The indoor seating area is on the smaller side, but there are lots of outdoor tables. On a nice day, I'd definitely recommend sitting outside. The burgers were soft and fresh. I thought the kids' burger was a little heavy on the sauce, but that's probably something I could customize next time. Service was quick overall. My only minor feedback is that the server taking our order spoke very softly, making it a bit difficult to hear in the busy Sunday afternoon crowd.

I found this place on here about month ago and bookmarked it. Today I came here to get lunch to go. I ordered there with a staff member. I got the Cali Kid burger (w/ Angus beef), Garlic Fries, and a Chocolate Shake. The guy asked what sauce I want which I asked for his recommendation since it was my first time there. He recommended the Cali sauce, and I said "Okay, I'll go with your recommendation." I didn't know that he was going to charge me for the sauce--$.75. The total with a $1 tip came out to $27 something. Pricey!!! I waited for about 8-10 minutes til my order was ready. The chocolate shake didn't have the pretty chocolate drip like in their pictures, but it was decadent. It is better than In-n-Out's chocolate shake. The mini donut is a cute touch. The Cali Kid burger was pretty delicious, but I still like In-n-Out's Double Double a lot more still. The Garlic Fries was garlic overload. If you're super into garlic, then you might be a fan of this. After a few bites, I got tired of it. The Cali sauce was just okay. I wasn't a fan of it. The place was clean, bold, with plenty of seating indoors & out. In my bag, the gave me a fork, but no napkins. Luckily I was going to go back to the house to eat it, but it kinda sucks that they didn't give any napkins. It was nice to try, but I'll stick with my beloved In-n-Out.

Kids Cheeseburger Meal Honestly one of the best values on the menu. Wally approved. The burger was a great size for kids, and pairing it with onion rings made it feel like a meal he'd actually get excited about. Sweet Potato Fries Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and seasoned just right. These disappeared quickly. Onion Rings Crunchy coating, sweet onion center, and cooked perfectly. Definitely worth adding to your order. Loaded Spicy Garlic Fries These stole the show. Crispy fries loaded with flavor and just enough spice to keep you reaching for another bite. If you're sharing, order one for the table. If you're not sharing, order one for yourself. Mac & Cheese Bites Golden, crispy, cheesy comfort food. These were a hit with both kids and adults. Habanero Mango Wings Mike's favorite item of the night. The perfect balance of sweet and heat. The mango brought a touch of sweetness while the habanero delivered just enough kick to keep things interesting. These were sticky, flavorful, and impossible to stop eating. Fried Cheesecake A fun surprise. Warm, creamy cheesecake inside with a crispy exterior. It's rich enough to split, but you might not want to. Strawberry & Chocolate Milkshakes Thick, creamy, and made for burger night. The strawberry was refreshing and sweet, while the chocolate was rich and classic. A special shout-out to Farrah. You were an absolute delight. Your hospitality was world-class and made our experience even more memorable. Exceptional service is hard to find, and you made us feel genuinely welcomed from the moment we walked in. We can't wait to come back and work our way through more of the menu. Overall, what stood out most was the variety. Whether you're craving a classic burger, something spicy, a vegetarian option, loaded fries, or a sweet treat, there's truly something for everyone.
