Meatloaf dinner
Marty S.

Went on a Thursday bike night, the first one there that I'm aware of. The wait staff seated me immediately, and asked for my drink order. They have some craft beers on tall, which are amazing. It didn't take very long for me to make my choice- I had to have the meatloaf. The server took my order, and the meal was in front of me faster than I could think about it. The meatloaf was TO DIE FOR. One of the best restaurant meatloaf meals I've ever had. First of all, it had no peppers. I don't like peppers in my meatloaf. The meat was seasoned just right and cooked to perfection. The gravy had a perfect consistency and wasn't over salty. The broccoli was crisp, yet hot and flavorful. For dessert, I had a limoncello cake/pie that was quite tasty without being overpowering. Kudos to Amy's Cafe for having a good combination of great staff, tasty food, and a fun and quirky atmosphere.

Spinach, ham, onion and cheese omelette with amazing cheese grits and country fried steak.

Such a great atmosphere and friendly staff. The food is amazing and service is quick. You won't be disappointed. Amy's is our favorite breakfast and lunch spot in Fredericksburg. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

Food was delicious. Service was great and the atmosphere was super cool. Ordered one of everything from the appetizers and my gf ordered the Rachael. Robin order the French dip and she loved it. Alloy ordered the meatloaf and he inhaled it. No complaints here!

Stopped in after visiting the area for lacrosse game at MW College. Beautiful building very cool inside. I had the Rachel Sandwich with sweet potato fries. Probably the best sandwich I've ever had. Slaw was delicious and the turkey so good. Also had fried pickles as well. Husband had chili with 1/2 sandwich.

Amy's Cafe for dinner the other night. We started with their fried green tomatoes, which we've ordered numerous times before. Without a doubt, they make the best fried green tomatoes I've ever had! And the other night, they were perfect! My husband knows when I'm enjoying, because I'm so animated with my 'food moans' of pleasure . They're really so delightful! We ordered the Club on wheat (lightly toasted), with cheddar (instead of Swiss), along with fries as our entree (to split), (which is our typical go to). Then we also tried a cup of their cream of crab soup with cornbread, which was the special. I didn't care for the soup, but my husband enjoyed it. I really liked the cornbread though! Great great service as well!

The crab dip appetizer special was to die for! Did not realize this gem was tucked away back where it was, quiet location, but the word's out - plenty of folks when we walked in. We arrived at 6:30pm on a Tuesday, without realizing they closed at 8pm (sorry!) service was super quick, food tasted excellent, nothing to complain about. I had the salmon main with two sides (sweet potato fries and green beans) and it tasted amazing. Our table ate in silence - that good. Would highly recommend; 4.5 stars rounded up.

We stopped by Friday afternoon. We ordered fried green tomato appetizer, it was great with the wasabi sauce. We also ordered the fried catfish dinner and a regular side salad with balsamic vinaigrette. The catfish was ok and the salad was also. The restaurant is clean and bright with the natural light. The service was good and the waitress was friendly. Overall ok lunch.

Amy's cafe Chesapeake Eggs Benedict

The food was great. I had the Chesapeake Eggs Benedict I was very flavorful tasted more crab instead of breading. The atmosphere was small and homely I did notice a number of children. I can say the prices were well within a set budget The service was great my wife and I have started going to these smaller restaurants do to to many let downs from the chains and it has been great. I would give this restaurant 5 stars all around

This is restaurant is on west Cambridge street in Falmouth VA right beside colonial town of Fredericksburg. Right on the Rappahannock River. The building it is in is a historical building. This is the first time we have been here. We ordered a steak and cheese with fries, steak tacos and Alfredo. The staff is friendly and seated us quickly as well as bringing us drinks and taking our order. The unsweetened ice is fresh and tasty. The hot coffee taste very good as well.

Stumbled upon this cute cafe to avoid some traffic. Refreshing to have some good service these days so kudos to Lacy our waitress. We enjoyed the outdoor patio seating and omelette and basil Porto special was excellent! Back on the road now...

Ridiculously slow service for food that even McDonald's would be embarrassed to serve.

They had some seasonal drinks that we tried, which were good, but we really loved some of their staples like the rose quarts spritz and the London fog sour. The service was a little off the night we came in - timing issues with getting food out and lots of drama/comments between the staff. Nothing that was so off putting I wouldn't come back though! I think this would be a great stop if you're looking for somewhere before dinner or a light bite.

The space is cozy, with a nice mix of tables, bar seating, and comfy couches. Their cocktail menu is full of fun holiday options, and the small plates menu offers plenty to choose from if you're hungry. I ordered the London Fog Sour, the classic crab dip, and the birria eggrolls. The London Fog Sour might honestly be one of my favorite cocktails I've had downtown--I loved it so much I ordered a second one. I'll be going back just for that drink. The crab dip was its usual reliable, delicious self, and the birria eggrolls were flavorful and packed with meat. Our server was fantastic and helped us decide which small plates to try. Overall, Harry's Sidecar is an excellent choice if you're looking for an intimate spot to enjoy happy hour, whether you're solo or with a group. I absolutely recommend giving it a try!

This is an exceptional diner with a phenomenal staff, excellent food and drinks, and a comfortable atmosphere. Will was our server and he was exemplary. To say he took care of us was an understatement. Will knew we were wiped out from traveling and helped us navigate the menu, drinks, and dessert. He's a fantastic ambassador to Silver Diner. My girlfriend dined on a fresh house salad (no tomatoes by request) with thousand island dressing. She also had their fresh chicken tenders with dipping sauces. The chicken was lean and juicy. I had the beat salad with a spicy sauce that proved to be as delicious as it was refreshing. My entree was cod on quinoa with asparagus and stewed tomatoes. Absolutely perfect from texture to flavor. We shared their brownie with ice cream. That brownie was thick, moist, and chocolatey. And our drinks were amazing. The manager also made the rounds to make certain everyone was happy. We cannot thank Will and the Silver Diner staff, from service to kitchen, enough for their stellar hospitality. Highly recommended!

The food is well cooked and served hot. I wished I could have tried a lot more of the menu... but it was a quick stop on the way home from a beach vacation. For such a small restaurant... there are a lot of seats and looks to be able to even host a large party of 15-20 on a long bench. The Gus burger was hearty, beef patty was thick and delicious... the fries are interesting... like a hybrid between a fry and potato chip. The onion rings are large and seem to have a funnel cake coating! Crispy and well fried. The French toast is thick and fluffy and the bread density is amazing! My daughter also enjoyed the bagel and cream cheese... The BLT is filled with beautiful pieces of ham and turkey... it's so hearty! Service: The first impression was a little mixed. The hostess wasn't very welcoming when we asked about a booth for our family of five (two adults and three younger kids) and didn't seem open to exploring the option. Thankfully, our server, DeQuandre (Deq?), completely turned that around. He was friendly, attentive, and offered great recommendations. We appreciated his visits as he was energetic and very hospitable, highly recommend asking for him when you visit. Food: We started with the buffalo dip. It comes with chips, but Deq was awesome and add some pita, which was a great call. The pita was slightly crisped (almost lightly fried) but still soft inside and paired perfectly with the dip, which had great flavor and good chunks of chicken. For burgers, we ordered the Spicy Wrangler (March 2026 Burger of the Month) and the Whiskey Burger. The Wrangler had a lot going on but the flavors worked well together. The Whiskey Burger was delicious, the sauce was a bit sweeter than I usually prefer, but the bacon was excellent. Only critique would be the burgers were slightly underdone even for medium, but still enjoyable. The onion rings were a standout, though the breading-to-onion ratio leaned a little heavy. The fries were decent but nothing particularly great about them. Atmosphere: Casual and open, but fairly loud. Even though it wasn't very busy for a Sunday lunch, the music and bar noise made it a little difficult at times to hear others at our table. I wouldn't consider this a date night type atmosphere, more casual open dining. Drinks: Solid beer selection with enough variety for most tastes, plus a small cocktail menu and a selection of wines. Overall: Harry's Downtown is a solid spot for a casual lunch or dinner. If you're in the mood for a good burger, or consider yourself a bit of a burger enthusiast, it's definitely worth checking out. This visit was positive enough to plan another visit to explore other delicious sounding menu items. We'll definitely be requesting Deq when we return! Thank you!
