    "Hot and sour soup"
    Miranda W.

Ordered Hot and Sour soup and it's traditionally a clear like broth with tofu, bamboo shoots, mushrooms and carrot or cabbage. This is egg flower soup with a hint of that hot and sour taste. No thanks.

These eggrolls are pretty good, but last time I checked eggrolls had meat in them maybe a little bit of egg I mean, they are called eggrolls

Gross! Food taste burnt , the orange chicken was like slop.. very nasty the rice tasted burnt and the teriyaki chicken was tougher then leather! Only thing I could eat was the egg rolls !! And they were 2.99 EACH and small !!! I got a plate that I could not eat and 2 egg rolls that damn near cost the same as the whole plate !!! Lady was rude I ask for small portions and she said she did not sell small portions... Seriously... ok.... But very disappointed and will not ever go back! Now the donut shop next door is FIRE!!! So good!! Fresh all the time and so friendly and welcoming.. but this place had neglected all of the above quality presentation and taste was out the door tased like flour, oil, and the bottom of a burnt pan!! Yuck!!!

This is supposedly their Hot & Sour soup 0/0

We've been to Amy's before & they went down hill from before. They used to give decent portions & that's without the price increases. Now with the increases the portion gotten smaller. The worst of it all the Hot & Sour soup. Which lack all components! There's no mushrooms, no meat, no bamboo & no tofu. It tastes so sweet that we ended up throwing it away. It looks like an egg drop soup that you can get the instant ones in a packet & make it yourself at home. Very disappointing.

Good prices. Good food. Clean. Fast. Will be back.. a lot!

Good prices, good food, big portions, friendly, clean.. can't ask for more ‼ we'll definitely be back.

    Chili And garlic wit oil

Now I've had a bad experience in the past with Amy's cafe but let me tell you that they have got on top of their stuff!! The teriyaki chicken is great and the fried rice with the chili and garlic oil is amazing in my opinion !! Now I will say it's not a five star because the black pepper chicken I think it's called was not top tier but it was good overall I would definitely recommend this plate ! Service is always great too

Not super crazy about their regular food, but a lot of people love it. I'm obsessed with their spicy garlic wings. Soooo good! Definitely give them a try.

The service is nice and friendly. The food is standard take-out Chinese, not great but not bad either.

I used to love this place, my husband would laugh at me. Then I personally pulled a piece of an s.o.s. pad out of my mouth while eating.

Great Chinese food for the price and large portions. The employees are very friendly and do their best to accommodate you.

My favorite one to order is the sesame chicken; make it spicy, over fried rice. The breaded chicken has a nice crunch to it and is never soggy. The food is always hot, flavorful and fresh. The potstickers are not frozen but freshly made and they're my favorite in the Sacramento area. The customer service is always very friendly and welcoming. Their interior is a little small but they have seating for twos, fours and groups. If you're looking for somewhere new for lunch & dinner, then I highly recommend this place. They currently only offer brewed hot tea but I'm hoping they eventually offer brewed Iced Tea as well

Now when I call to order the same thing, there is nothing but confusion. They will only offer me pan-fried noodles or chow mein. I'm not sure why I used to order it the way I prefer without issue, but now causes problems. Anyway, finally went home and made it myself. Came out pretty close. Would have been nice to save the 45 minutes and kitchen mess. First world problems I guess. Atmosphere is minimalist, but generally clean.

First time experiencing the menu outside of Dim Sum. Here are my notes:…read more Special Fried Rice in Claypot - Refreshing fried rice due to the addition of the cilantro. You can taste the umami from the roe and other ingredients that I am not entirely sure are but taste familiar. I enjoyed and loved it. Mapo Tofu - Firm Tofu and good sauce. Although I do enjoy more of a Sichuan-style spicy mapo tofu (with the very numbing taste), I still found this mapo tofu delicious as you can taste the flavor of the pork and sauce coating the tofu. 2 Entree BBQ Platter: Roast Duck and Empress chicken - I'm biased towards roast duck. I love roast duck so any roast duck is good to me. Not a lot of comment on the duck. However, the Empress Chicken is nicely seasoned with the whatever broth they cooked it in. One of the few Empress Chickens where I can enjoy it without the scallion-ginger oil, but the scallion-ginger oil still elevates this Chicken to a higher level. Congee with Pork and Preserved Egg - Comforting and triggers a lot of nostalgic feelings for me. I didn't have to add too much additional soy sauce or chili sauce because the congee has a great base flavor. Preserved egg and pork weren't too chunky, rice was not too "mushy", and the overall congee was in a good thickness to create a nice mouth feel for each bite. Will visit again to try the other dishes.

Drinks aren't rated, as they don't sell house cocktails (though they sell a small selection of beers and wines). All-in-all a solid menu. The dilemma is that we generally felt unwelcome. We came by on a Sunday evening at 6:30 pm (and paid and left by 8:20 pm which is 10 minutes before closing). We were a party of 8 with diverse backgrounds, and with exception to one server (a woman wearing red who was maybe a manager), the staff just weren't friendly toward us. I will say that one woman in red was so kind. She made sure to say "bye" as we left. I will add one of my friends mistakenly tried to take a pair of chopsticks (as they are set on the table in a paper slip). She didn't realize they were store owned/reusable vs throwaway. She quickly apologized, but that became the final straw of awkwardness with the staff. The food was genuinely great with appropriate prices, so I may give it another shot down the road as a date night option.
