Woke up craving omelettes so i decided to stop here. There was about a 15 minute wait on a Sunday. The whole waiting area was packed but the wait wasn't bad at all. I went with a basic western omelette which is not hard to mess up and it did not disappoint. It wasn't anything amazing but I'm not quite sure how amazing an omelette could really get? They have a huge selection of different types of omelettes which seemed pretty cool if you're feeling adventurous. I wish we lived closer to here so we could go all the time. First off, the menu is overwhelmingly huge and varied. I am pretty sure you can get any omelette variation you can think of. I got an omelette with pepper jack, beans, corn and salsa, with home fries on the side. My husband got a "country style" omelette with bell peppers and ham, and the home fries were mixed into the omelette. Both were huge portions, and came out quickly. My omelette was great. The home fries are delicious and have lots of nicely browned onions in there too. I was stuffed when we were done but I could have easily eaten more hash browns. My husband wasn't a fan of the country style omelette, but still said it tasted good. Just a weird texture. A couple downsides- it always feels really cramped. Also, the toast was underdone. However, even though they were really busy, our service was fast and friendly and we were seated pretty quickly. Definitely recommend. read more

I don't recall what that was. My pancakes consisted of 4 medium sized flapjacks and two fat sausage links. The syrup was the thick sugary kind. Not my favorite. I was pleased with my meal. I could taste the pumpkin in each bite. My links were tasty. The portion was generous. My co-worker enjoyed her meal. The portion of potatoes with her meal was huge. As a coffee snob, I would rate the coffee as good. I've had better and I've had worse. The service was very good. The prices were very reasonable considering the portions provided. The first thing that comes to mind is the very friendly staff. This menu (breakfast, lunch and dinner) is HUGE. Over 50 kinds of omelets! Multiple vegetarian options. This place was great! My group went for a birthday breakfast brunch on a Sunday and the place was packed. Unfortunately, this was the height of summer and literally during a heat wave so it made the wait rather uncomfortable. The food however, was worth every minute of it! We tried the crabmeat omelette, mega breakfast, loaded home fries, wild berry pancakes, and Cajun omelette with toast. Everything tasted fresh, was cooked well, and the portions are HUGE! If you dare to try one on your own, somewhere around halfway you're gonna feel like a chump for stalling! WARNING: portioned for fully matured and bottomless stomachs only. Pancakes were topped with more than a cup of real fresh berries--no canned or saucy mess. My friends eating the loaded home fries were literally speechless, uttering indecipherable grunts and moans every few seconds. My crabmeat omelette and hollandaise was sooo yummy, all I needed after that was a fleece blanket and they could've left me on the floor! I was told that they had to roll my entire party out of the restaurant, as I was still in a food coma of my own. My only complaints about this place was the long wait (they don't take reservations) and the small booths. Such large food portions require enough elbow room to really do some damage. Amy's is a great place for breakfast. Very extensive menu. I was craving pumpkin pancakes so we went this morning. They were awesome! I mean really good - no need for syrup, just a little butter. The service was good and fast, also. The only reason I'm not giving this a 5 star review is because I'm not crazy about their coffee. It's a little bitter. Otherwise, great place to go! P.S. I forgot to mention 1) they have pumpkin pancakes ALL year and 2) you can get whatever you want ala cart - which is great, because I wanted an egg and 2 pancakes and typically I would have to order 2 meals to achieve that, not at Amy's - they aim to please! Happy, happy. P.P.S. Admittedly, I'm kinda a very picky coffee drinker so most would find Amy's coffee just fine. My husband liked it. I'm just high maintenance where coffee (and wine) are concerned. My family has been raving about Amy's for the past few years. When I finally joined them, I discovered why. If you need your breakfast fix, whatever it is, you can get it here. Bored of the usual pancakes or scrambled eggs? How about a french toast omelet sandwich? Too adventurous? Well hundreds of omelets can't serve you wrong. Their home fries are pretty awesome as well! Their portions are hearty. The one downside that I've seen is that their parking can be rough. On weekends you can park at the high school without fear. Haven't tried their dinner menu either. All in all the western I got was tasty, though when I inquired about getting some salsa or hot sauce on the side, all they had was Tabasco. It's hard to say much that hasn't already been said about Amy's, but I'd be remiss not to add my own praises to the chorus. After hearing so much about this place and driving by their billboard promises of more than 200 different omlettes, I finally got to try this place out for a big group breakfast meeting. Since it was early on a weekday (8am Friday), the place was mostly empty. We had made a reservation but it clearly wasn't needed. Despite the lack of fellow patrons, however, the waitress tried to squeeze ten of us into just two tables pushed together. We asked to move another table ourselves, and were much more comfortable spread across three. There were other small examples of the service not being up to par, like the waitress being totally unaware of what menu items were vegan or vegetarian. Ok I am going to try and control myself because this was probably one of the best breakfast spots I have ever been to. The pancakes fluffy and golden and a great quantity for the price. The eggs were eggs so I won't go further into that. However I need to talk about the potatoes. One bite and the texture and flavor packed into these spuds with caramelized onion brought me back to a Brooklyn deli I would walk past everyday as a kid. The smell of them alone was to die for. Not only were they the best potatoes I have ever had but they gave me probably 2 pounds of potato not even exaggerating. The waitress was very sweet I forget her name but she was a petite brown haired girl who was on the ball. This was my first time but will not be my last. So outside we sat, even though it looked like it could rain at any moment. I had the New Jersey omelet, which consisted of American cheese, bacon, and tomato. They also give you tons of home fries and toast. My husband got his home fries deep fried, which is also really good. The service and wait time for food was pretty good. This is such a cute spot, the menu is overwhelming all the options, and everything looks good. It's helpful to go in with at least an idea of what you want because you can easily spend a 1/2hr just looking at page one of the menu. I've been twice, and each time the service was impeccable. The first time I went it wasn't crowded, out server made some suggestions, food for our party of 4 a mix of lunch and breakfast came out quickly and hot. The manager came around and introduced herself and we chatted a bit, very nice. This time they were packed but service was just as good, we were promptly greeted by our server with water. When I ordered the French toast combo and wanted fruit, he advised me in advance there would be an up charge and how much which I appreciated, no one likes surprise charges. The food again came quickly, and we weren't rushed after eating. The food was delicious and plentiful, I feel like fruit could have been fresher and the bacon was a little over done, but honestly it was still a better breakfast than I've had at other places. The French toast combo came with 2 eggs, sausage AND bacon. My friend made her omelette the way she wanted with mushrooms broccoli and ham, it came with the toast and homefries. When you first walk in they have specials posted on the board, but as soon as you sit down and open the menu you forget all about them, so it would be nice if they had them listed somewhere visible, once you are seated. I'm glad I made a second trip here rather than giving a different spot a second chance for breakfast, this place hasn't let me down yet, and I doubt it will anytime soon. I know some folks love lots of choices. I'm not one of 'em. They have tons of choices when it comes to omelets. You could spend a solid 20 minutes reading over all the names and offerings. I went for a simple 2 egg, turkey bacon breakfast. It had some trendy name attached to it but I can't recall it. I was impressed with the turkey bacon, it's what I use at home...essentially the formed leg meat turkey bacon. Good stuff. Eggs cooked excellent and well seasoned. Service was very friendly and upbeat. Restaurant seemed clean but I was a little surprised to see the men's restroom so unkempt especially with it being early in the AM. An indication that the closing crew missed/skipped the bathroom duties. Always makes you wonder what else is skipped on?? If travels have me back in the area, I'll stop in again. read more

Soooo disappointed. I have been to Amy's numerous times in the past and have always been pleased with their food and service. Today, I waited over an hour for an outdoor table, then waited again for an overworked new waitress to be able to take our order. I ordered a pork roll, egg, & cheese sandwich. As I ate the last bite of the first half of my sandwich, I noticed an unpleasant taste. I inspected the second half and found green mold on the bottom of the roll! Yes, I had eaten moldy bread. I pointed it out to our waitress who took it to her manager. The waitress apologized - and it certainly was in no way her fault! The waitress came back to tell me that the sandwich had been "completely removed" from my bill. Was that supposed to make everything OK? I surely wasn't going to pay for being served spoiled food. The manager never came to the table, never apologized. Only the sandwich was removed from the bill - I wasn't even comped my cup of tea after having been served mold! I am still feeling unwell several hours later. Needless to say, Amy's has lost a customer today! read more
