I gave this dealership a second chance after my previous service experience, and unfortunately, it was more of the same. On May 19, my car died on the side of the freeway at 6:00 AM in Compton. Given that this dealership had previously replaced my engine under warranty, I was concerned it might be related to the same issue. I paid $250 for a tow truck to have the vehicle transported all the way to Anaheim Hyundai. When I arrived, Alex checked me in and had the technicians inspect the vehicle. After waiting about four hours, I was told the problem was not related to the engine replacement. Apparently, I had run over something that punctured the transmission fluid pan. While I was relieved it wasn't a major engine issue, I was told the repair would take approximately two days, the part would be ordered, and the total repair cost would be around $1,000. Since this dealership does not offer courtesy vehicles, I rented a car and went home. The very next day, I received a message that the part had been ordered but would take 3-7 days because it was coming from the East Coast. I was told it was being treated as an emergency order and would be expedited, with hopes of having the vehicle ready by Friday. Friday came and went. I messaged Alex for an update and received no response. Since I had no idea when my vehicle would be ready, I had to extend my rental car again. On Saturday, I reached out once more and was informed the part still had not arrived. Later that same day, I was told the part would not arrive at Hyundai's distribution center until May 29, and then would require an additional day to reach the dealership. At that point, I was completely confused. How is a part considered "expedited" when it takes nearly two weeks to arrive? I work in logistics, and there are numerous options available such as FedEx, UPS, overnight shipping, or air freight. The explanations simply didn't make sense. I continued trying to get updates: May 26 - No response. May 28 - No response. Multiple follow-up messages went unanswered. Meanwhile, I continued extending my rental car because I could not rely on the dealership's estimates. Finally, on May 30, I received a message that my car was ready. Unfortunately, the message came too late for me to make it before closing, and since the dealership is closed on Sundays, I had to wait until Monday morning to pick it up. Because of the delays and lack of communication, I spent an additional $550 in rental car expenses that could have been avoided if accurate timelines had been provided from the beginning. The repair itself appears to have been completed correctly, but the customer service experience was once again frustrating. The recurring issues are poor communication, missed timelines, lack of urgency, and customers being left to absorb the costs associated with delays. While waiting, I spoke with a salesperson who informed me that because my engine replacement warranty information is stored in Hyundai's system, I can take my vehicle to any Hyundai dealership for future service. That was all I needed to hear. This will be the last time I bring my vehicle to Anaheim Hyundai for service. There are too many other Hyundai dealerships that value communication and customer service for me to continue dealing with this level of frustration. The final disappointment was seeing the condition of my car when I picked it up. The vehicle had not been washed, cleaned, or even wiped down. It appeared a window had been left open while it sat in the shop because the interior was covered in dust. We purchased a Tesla from this dealership and traded in our Toyota Highlander. It has already been 3 weeks, but the dealership still has not paid off the loan on our traded-in Highlander. This is extremely stressful and unacceptable because the loan is still under our name, and we are still responsible for it while waiting for the dealership to complete the payoff. When we contact the dealership, the employee cannot give us any clear or helpful answer. We keep asking for confirmation and an explanation, but nobody can clearly explain why the payoff has not been completed or when it will finally be sent to the lender. We trusted this dealership with our trade-in, but now we are left with an unpaid loan and no clear answers. In all my years of experience purchasing vehicles, if there's one thing I can say that is more important than just numbers alone, is that you also need the right sales associate helping you. If there's no willingness or the person is straight out lazy, the frustration is not even worth it trying to wheel and deal. If you know numbers and your credit, how to calculate payments and interest then you're solid. You'll just need the right rep to assist you in finding the car and setting up the paperwork. The guy who originally answered the phone said they had the car, but when I asked for specific details on a program they had, the answers me was providing me was not accurate. I'm mean I'm literally reading the corporate website on the program. When I explained the answer he was giving me was incorrect, he had attitude and was just trying to rush me off the phone. I mean the proper customer service would've been to say that he didn't know, which would've been ok. Nothing wrong with not knowing something. But then either ask someone else or pass the phone so we can get the correct assistance. But we hung up and let it end there since he was so rude. My brother was really adamant though about getting a specific color, model and trim, and Anaheim Hyundai was the only one in the area who had it. So, I said let's drive down and see the car first, then see if someone else could help us out who would take the time to make the transaction right. Thank God that we met Tam. He was nice, helpful and straight-up honest about what he was able to do and not able to do. I let him know we did our homework and based on credit and down payment, our monthly should be around X$. We asked if he could do it, and if not what the best he was able to do so we can compare. After a few minutes of speaking to his finance department, he gave us the green light. We actually spent more time signing papers than the test drive and waiting for approval. Tam let the process be easy and simple. If you are ever in the need for a Hyundai, I highly recommend visiting Anaheim Hyundai and asking for Tam Nguyen. If there's something he can do for you, he'll tell you up front and no bs given or bait and switch. He's up front and honest which we appreciated. Horrible service. I purchased a 2026 Palisade and within 3000 the engine quit on me in Utah on vacation. Horrible experience with the salt lake dealership then when I got back to the OC, this dealership is telling me they can't guarantee the work from another dealership. I decided to get a refund on my extended warranty in Jan 2026. Every month I called about the refund, each time they say they are working on it. 2 months ago they said the check was lost mail. Now they won't even return my emails. This experience has been so bad I will never buy another Hyundai again. If the dealership wants to refute this review I have emails to prove. I have always brought my vehicle to this dealership for service, and because of that history, I expected a higher level of communication and customer care. Unfortunately, this experience was disappointing from start to finish and reinforced concerns I've had in the past regarding long wait times, even for routine maintenance services. The service staff were friendly and helpful when I initially dropped off my vehicle, which gave me confidence that I was in good hands. Unfortunately, that positive first impression quickly faded due to ongoing communication issues throughout the repair process. My original service representative, Jonathan, was responsive and kept me informed. However, after he left and another representative took over my case, communication essentially stopped. I'm not sure what the transition process is, but updates became rare, and I often had to chase down information myself. Attempting to contact the service department was frustrating in itself. Calls were repeatedly routed through what appeared to be a malfunctioning AI phone system, making it difficult to reach anyone who could provide meaningful assistance. The department also seems understaffed, as there was little to no proactive communication regarding the status of my vehicle. I dropped my vehicle off first thing Friday morning and didn't receive any update until late that day. As a customer, that left me wondering whether my vehicle had been sitting unattended for hours before anyone inspected it. I understand that repair timelines can vary and that parts delays are sometimes unavoidable, but the lack of communication made the entire process far more frustrating than it needed to be. A simple phone call, text message, or status update would have gone a long way toward setting expectations and providing peace of mind. To make matters worse, the prices charged here are significantly higher than those of many independent mechanics, yet the level of customer service did not justify the premium. I also had to request reimbursement for rental car expenses because no loaner vehicles were available. (They covered all but $50 of it for a comparable vehicle.) The most disappointing part is that after five days, more than $2,000 in repairs, and the inconvenience of a rental car, I received my vehicle back with the same issue still occurring. I immediately spoke with the service manager about both the unresolved problem and my overall frustration with the experience. He mentioned they might be able to arrange a loaner vehicle if I brought the car back and said we would "circle back." He tried to blame the issue on the fact that "I may have or not have had brake pads changed out somewhere else." The brake pads are not the issue here. I also explained that I had just received two service coupons the day I received my car back that applied to work performed on my vehicle, but he declined to honor them because the account had already been closed. At that point, it wasn't about the money. I can afford the repairs. It was about the principle of the situation and the overall experience. As a long-time customer who has consistently trusted this dealership with my vehicle, I expected better. I've previously experienced excessive wait times for basic maintenance, but I continued returning because I believed the dealership would stand behind its work and provide quality service. This experience severely undermined that confidence. When customers are charged premium prices, they should receive premium communication, accountability, and results. While the employees I interacted with were courteous and professional, the lack of communication, minimal follow-up, high costs, recurring delays, and failure to resolve the original issue made this a deeply disappointing experience. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this location for vehicle maintenance or repairs. read more

I had a really disappointing experience with Anaheim Hyundai. I called the dealership regarding my 2021 Elantra and how the paint is fading for only having 28k miles on it. I was speaking to Anthony and he told me "Sorry I have other phone calls I need to get to" and would not transfer me to Juan who I originally bought my car from. I was appalled. From the beginning, communication was poor between the dealership and corporate and I constantly felt like I was being given the runaround regarding my poor manufactured car. Paint should not be fading on a car less than 5 years old. What was most frustrating was the lack of accountability. Instead of taking ownership of the issue, I was bounced back and forth between departments and left to act as the middle person. It made an already stressful situation even worse. Customer service should be about clarity, responsiveness, and actually helping the customer--but that was not my experience here. I expected much better, especially from a dealership representing a major brand. But they are quick to call me for an upgrade on a BRAND NEW car. The Hyundai Tustin dealership claimed that my car has "no outside influence" on my car's fading which is saying that it is not my fault it's the poor manufacturing. They will only cover 80% which I am still fighting to cover fully for not only poor craftsmanship, but horrible service! Do not recommend ANY Hyundai. read more

Don't trust this place. Went in for a 40k servicing. Told Andres Ulloa that I didn't want to pay for anything other than what's necessary to maintain my warranty. I made it clear multiple times because it seemed like he was trying to upsell me. I'd ask him direct questions about service and pricing and he'd give evasive answers to confirm like "Yeah, basically" rather than just "Yeah". They need to treat customers better in the service department. We brought our Palisade in for a recall. After the service, the rep Josh told us we may experience issues with the car and that it was "normal." Sure enough, our car began to stall multiple times in the middle of the road with all of our young children inside. Service manager Charles blamed us for not taking care of our car instead of apologizing and investigating the situation. Never once asked if we were ok. First they blamed the battery, then the type of gas (Costco Premium) we put in. None of which proved to be the issue. We later learned the car being jumpstarted in their care. On top of all this, they refused to give us proper work orders with the test results and dates. The car was brought in multiple times for stalling and they still released the car without fixing it. They put our family in danger and need to take responsibility. Brought a perfectly working car in and they gave back an undriveable car. We purchased our Tahoe back in August, told we would get our check from our trade in we did which was 5,000$ , told we would receive that in a week from purchase date. Than when we purchased the Tahoe the third row headrests were broken and we were told to bring it in and it'll get fixed right away. A week later we check in and NO CHECK, and no headrests. Fast forward to this week October 16th we finally received our 5,000$ check from our trade in. And finally got our headrests fixed. Our check was printed August 28th and they REFUSED to release it to us because the car we traded in was "still in my husbands name" funny part is THEY SOLD THE CAR A WEEK LATER which is completely illegal for a dealer to sell a vehicle that's still in the previous owners name ?? Safe to say we reported them to the DMV & filed a complaint. Don't bother arguing with them they'll just laugh in your face like they did to my husbands when he went in demanding his money. This dealer is being bought out so they could care less what happens right now. Only positive side to this experience was the finance manager Brian who helped us in this situation & our car salesman Christian. Other than that this dealership is an absolute joke.
