Came here on a Sunday around 3 pm after my partner picked me up from the airport. I was ravenous! Parking was easy as it's located in a decent-sized plaza with plenty of parking. The restaurant was virtually empty when we arrived, only a group and a single person finishing up their lunches. The inside is smaller than I expected but has an intimate and cozy feeling. It's dim, with shades of orange, red, and burgundy. There were tall booths, ornate wooden furniture, and small chandelier. Definitely good for groups, date, or by yourself! We decided to order a paneer pakora appetizer and the dinner for 2 which comes with a choice of 2 somosas, half tandoori chicken, a choice of meat dish, a choice of vegetable dish, and a choice of dessert. It also came with rice and naan. We were definitely expecting to take leftovers to eat later. First came the paneer pakora. Simple, crispy, and huge cubes of cheese! Went well with their chutneys and pickled vegetables. The chutneys could have been a bit stronger in flavor but were still yummy. Probably because the paneer is so mild. We ordered lamb samosas but got veggie somosas. Our first server said he wouldn't charge us for them because of the error, but I think he forgot later on which was fine since we were still happy to eat them. They were large, crispy, and full of delicious filling. We also got cups of veggie soup which was more broth and blended lentil vs creamy. It was light and refreshing but warm and comforting. Then came the mains. The half chicken tandoori smelled absolutely amazing and tasted delicious as well. It was juicy but blackened and went well with the sliced onions cooked by the hot plate. We decided to get the lamb korma medium spice level and saag paneer spicy. They were both super flavorful and good portioned. There were plenty of meat chunks and the korma sauce was so rich. The saag had a lot of paneer in it and wasn't too saucy. I'd say the spice level was very good for both items, could personally do spicy for both but depends on who I'm eating with! Even the naan was fresh and delicious. We boxed up our leftover food and chose the gulab Jamun for dessert. Exactly what I expected but I think they were firmer than I've had, which I preferred the texture of compared to a soggy one. The service was also friendly and attentive. 2 people were helping us and the first said he wouldn't charge us for the samosas but I don't think this was communicated to the second person who handed us our full bill. We still enjoyed the veggie samosas so just paid the full bill anyways. The dinner for 2 is $70+. Would definitely come here again! A friend has mentioned it's one of their favorite spots for Indian food and it's easy to see why. The lunch specials and dinner for 2 in my opinion are good deals and the food is great quality and has great flavor!

Quality Indian cuisine with pretty inside seating in a busy encino plaza. Their menu features rewarding specials for lunch and dinner. This was perfect for my girlfriend and I after a long drive from lax. We replenished with savory herb saag nice spicy touches. The warm soft/slightly crisped naan and sauces were nice bites leading up to our lamb tika masala and chicken tandoori and veggies. The tandoori came out fuming on a medium sized skillet with nice chopped veggies marinating on top. The lunch special also came with soup options and we chose to include the panner as well. The dining experience was pleasurable, warm, and enough to make us want to come back. Some of the best Indian food I've had in the area!

I came in for my first time with a friend earlier this week and we enjoyed our time and the food. The atmosphere is classic, with orange hued painted walls, white linen tables/booths, Indian murals/paintings, and even some nice music to go along with it all. It's got a cozy and warm feeling. The service was was great and attentive on our visit and we were checked on appropriately by all. We were too stuffed for to order dessert but they surprised us with some pieces of baklava; so kind of them. The menu has a lot of items so whether you want some chicken, seafood, vegetarian items or anything else there should be something to like for everyone. They do lunch and have lunch specials and their dinner items come with a soup or salad, rice and the entree. They start you off with some papadam to go with some sauces and pickled carrot jalapeno. So good! We ordered: Chicken Tikka Masala - Boneless chicken tikka sauteed in masala gravy with tomatoes. Sag Paneer - Spinach and cheese cooked with onions, tomatoes, and herbs. Fish (Sea Bass) Tandoori - Boneless fish marinated in mild herb spices baked in tandoor. Garlic Basil Naan - Traditional naan with garlic. We chose the medium spice level on everything which worked out well; I think I'll try the hot versions next time. The food was fantastic, flavorful with all the right flavors of the food I am familiar with. Everything was done very well. You can choose some items as an a la carte version or with a whole meal option with a soup or salad, the entree and rice. The portions are generous and will be more than enough. I would recommend not to do everything as the whole meal/dinner option. The salad can be shared with at least two people and the rice is more than enough for three people. Prices are comparable to other places and appropriate to the times. This location of Anarbagh is tucked away in the Encino Oaks shopping center in a far corner. It's not a big location but is spaced well with numerous tables/booths. Parking should be fairly easy as there is a big parking lot in this shopping center. Seating is mostly booth with a couple tables. They do take out as well. Anarbagh currently runs and operates five locations total (Woodland Hills, Encino, Beverly Hills, Los Feliz, Westlake Village) so they are definitely doing things right!

Yum yum yum, is what I'm still thinking after eating Anarbagh. From the papadum at the start to their appetizer platter (10/10) to their baklava at the end my tastebuds are so happy. Also, the server Norman was so lovely. I really felt taken care of :)

Had the most delicious Indian meal at Anarbagh in Encino. Great service and made my family feel very welcome. Highlights include the chicken makhani, tarka dal, sag paneer and garlic naan. A must try. Easy parking.

Basil cheese naan, Lamb Rogan Josh Samosas.

Literally one of my favorite restaurants to go to. The staff is very friendly and always gives excellent recommendations. The owner is a very nice man as well. The samosas are phenomenal, the lamb rogan Josh was exceptional. This place is a must try. Also the garlic basil cheese naan is a must try too.

    Do you have lunch buffet?

No buffet but they are open for lunch . I have had lunch there but maybe 8 months ago.

Are they requiring proof of vaccination to dine in? If so can a picture of my vaccination card work?

They didn't for me at end of November,

How big are the a la cartes? Could we have a whole family share different a la carte orders so that we could eat family style?

For sure; that's how we ALWAYS eat in Indian restaurants.

Has anyone been to both this one and the Woodland Hills one? Did you notice a difference in taste?

Me and my family have been to both and honestly this one is better. This place has more flavorful foods and the service here is amazing. Def try this location out first.

The samosas were absolutely to die for--perfectly crisp on the outside with a flavorful, well-seasoned filling. I'd come back just for those. The aloo paratha was another standout: buttery, comforting, and cooked beautifully. The garlic naan was soft, fresh, and exactly what you want alongside a good curry. The chana masala was enjoyable, but it felt like it was missing just a little something. I can't quite put my finger on it--maybe a touch more depth or spice? It was good, just not the most memorable version I've had. Beyond the food, the restaurant itself is lovely. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the staff was genuinely friendly, and I especially appreciated the fun Indian music playing throughout the meal. It gave the whole experience a lively, welcoming vibe. Overall, I'd happily come back--especially for those samosas and the aloo paratha.

The assortment of food was great, and our server was amazing, taking care of us the entire time, even asking about refills on any specific dishes. My favorite was the chicken tikka masala surprisingly and not so much the curry that I got this on the refill. The rice portions were massive, and it was okay, definitely too much. The garlic naan was a tasty pairing, though. I also really enjoyed the Dosa and had to order a second one. If this is what dosa is, I may have a new addiction. The various dips around the plate were very tasty as well. It really was hard for me to decide which I liked the most since they were all great and had their own unique flavors. That Kheer, though, for dessert is a hard pass for me, though. The Kheer was too sweet; while I could see the direction, this was a "not for me" kind of dessert.

I told them to order plenty of food, since we'd worked up an appetite on the boat, and we would take home the leftovers. They ordered a lot - appetizers, curries and dosas - and there were barely any leftovers. It was late and the restaurant was pretty empty, so we got lots of service attention. Everything was delicious. Because we enjoyed our first time here so much, my husband and I came back about a month later on a weekday for an early lunch right as they were supposed to open. There didn't seem to be anyone actually working the seating area; a person came out eventually and told us that someone would take our order soon. It was quite a while before anyone came, the food took a long time to be served, and the food wasn't as good as I remembered. Very disappointing, which is why I'm giving 4 stars, not 5. Yesterday, driving back from Ojai on the 101 at lunchtime, we decided to give the restaurant another try. The service was very prompt and friendly and the food was very good. We ordered a vegetarian thali and an onion rava masala dosa to share between the two of us. The thali gave us a chance to have a sample of lots of their dishes. The dosa was awesomely crunchy, with large portions of sambar and several chutneys. We were stuffed before we finished our meal. Our total bill was only $30, plus tax and tip. We will definitely come back again, hopefully with a group of friends so we can order a lot of dishes and share. I have to assume that our one disappointing lunch was just a bad day - maybe their staff was out sick or something. But two of our three meals here were great and I look forward to eating that dosa again! We would come here more often, but we live half an hour away.
