I could write a book on how amazing this place is. Everything a good dive bar should be. Amazing drinks (focused on the cantina vibe, aka margaritas, michelada's, bloody mary's and even more), cool vibes (the decor is so fun! entertaining enough you don't need your cell phone here), and family owned by the sweetest people! We met Roxy who told us the history of the bar and was so accommodating and kind. Try the Rok on Ana! It's a house made speciality basically a combo of a bloody mary and michelada, probably one of my favorite 'micheladas' ever! Cute chairs in the back outside in the sun too. My friend and I stumbled into the Cantina... our bladders were bursting and we were starving! We met the fabulous, affable and most delightful Roxanna in this old St Helena local bar. Had a couple of amazing signature Bloody Mary's and split an excellent Chicago Hot Dog. Roxanna makes a serious hot dog and I will go back! I loved this family owned business, loved hearing about all the good they do, how they give back to the community on the regular. If there were six stars, I'd give it for this gem of a place. I don't know... we love the simpleness of Ana's. So tired of fancy dancy wine country bars. Roxy is fabulous. What a spark plug. BUT--- ordered two margaritas. She asked if we wanted a single shot or a double? I answered a double for me and a single for my man who has to drive. They were just, and I mean JUST okay. Definitely NOT a strong drink. my double gave me zero buzz and I weigh 117 lbs. Heaved our dollars at the ceiling and had fun. The kicker? The bill was $48!! Sorry. I brought my husband to Napa for his first time this month. I grew up in the greater valley, and I was explaining to him that not ALLLLL of the valley is pretentious and in-fact, there's many down to earth people and places to hang. The hospitality at Ana's is unmatched. The staff is so friendly and happy to serve. We came to hang and drink a few times while we were in town. Just walked in because it drew my attention. Great local bar that's been in operation since 1987. Family owned and operated. We met Roxie Anna's daughter and she was awesome. Came into this place hoping to have a couple of drinks with my friends. The atmosphere is not welcoming, and the owner Ana clearly doesn't care about her customers and or her customer service. She had an attitude towards us the entire time. Was speaking to us very aggressively and clearly did not care to help us out properly. Considering her customers pay her salary, that is just absurd to me. Apart from that, the prices are absolutely ridiculous. Save yourselves the time and the money by going anywhere else BUT here.
