We've gone to another Anayas so we're familiar with the menu. The fish and chips were really good and well seasoned. My wife enjoyed her meal as well. I was surprised the place wasn't all that busy. Perhaps it's the location. It's actually easier and quicker to get to than the other store we've been to. We will be back.

From Bad To Worse I ordered salad with grilled salmon cooked medium. They brought out salad with blackened salmon. When I said it wasn't what I ordered the guy was rude and with an incredulous tone said," You didn't order blackened?" He said it as though I had made the mistake. Then they brought a salad with salmon somewhat grilled. The salmon had been cut or broken open. It did not appear to have been cooked to medium. The parts you can see in the photo appear to be closer to rare. Also, the lettuce bordered on not fresh to rotten. We pointed it out to the server and sent it back. We asked that it be removed from our ticket and asked for the manager. We pointed out the problems to the manager and she wanted to offer something else. We said we wouldn't eat anything from their kitchen and she left. We waited for the check when the manager reappeared. She began to say that they use red lettuce and that's what we saw. Rather than accepting responsibility for serving rotten food she tried to blame us for not knowing what old lettuce looks like. She kept harassing us and going on and on. She was very rude. I'm unloading some photos. My wife who is a foodie and gourmet level cook was there. She is also a registered sanitarian. We know the difference between red lettuce and old rotten lettuce. The salad is priced at $17.89. It should not be old or rotten.

Mixed feelings on our dinners. However, service by Felipe was great. The crab cake appetizer was two large cakes and a small salad. The crab meat was gray and bland. The special grouper Oscar was ok but I didn't care for the hollandaise sauce. The big plus for the night was the blackened catfish and shrimp combination. It is served with fries and delicious coleslaw. I recommend the combo.

This is a nice local restaurant with seafood. I had the gumbo and a catfish only. Everything was delicious and seasoned well. They also had happy hour everyday with different options on their menu. I look forward to visiting again.

Decided to come here for brunch and the three stars are for the service, which was good and the food didn't take long to arrive. Now on to the food: Margarita flight 5/10: I only drank 2 out of the 4 because I didn't care for the flavors of the other 2 and I'm not a fan of Tajin in my drinks. Catfish and shrimp 4/10: the portion size was nice, the fries and fried shrimp were good. The fish grilled and fried were disappointing. Lack of flavor on the grilled and fried fish.

I had the cedar plank salmon with a French 75!!! Deeeelish!!!

This place is amazing , the price is also amazing and I'm definitely coming back. The catfish was fried perfectly , the gumbo was flavorful and my son said he enjoyed his grilled shrimp. The service was awesome and fast. Everyone was so nice and such a mature atmosphere I will be back!!!

Went for a weekday lunch break and we were super excited since this place has so many good reviews! However, it turned out to be mid. The time and food here was not memorable to us. I got the salmon caesar salad and for the price I would have expected a different bed of lettuce not just romaine. The salmon was cooked well though, and the sauce was good. His meal needed more sauce, and the piece of chicken was small. Maybe we ordered the wrong things? but we will most likely not go back any time soon

My family and friends have been attending Anaya's seafood for years literally one of the best the food is fresh. We often stop by and also purchase takeout orders that way we don't have to worry about cooking at home strongly recommend!

All day Happy Hour on Saturday & Sunday, say no more! On a recent date night, the misses and I had a chance to try Anaya's after recommendations from a couple of friends. A smaller establishment Anaya's fancies your seafood lovers who enjoy cozy and quaint environments. Whether it's date night or grabbing a quick meal, Anaya's vibe caters to all. A pleasant surprise as well, all cocktails during happy hour at $7.95 an unbeatable tag for quality. Upon recommendations from the staff and a neighboring table, we opted for Stuffed Crab & Salmon, along with Seafood Enchiladas and Bang Bang Shrimp as an app. The seafood sauce on the enchiladas had bit of a kick however the flavorful profile was undeniable! However the highlight was a speciality item in the stuffed crab & salmon, so good the misses didn't like my fork coming across the table. Crab and shrimp queso! You can't find anything this good in Dallas!!!!!

Friends this place is awesome! Tucked away from the main Beltline restaurants it's a diamond worth finding! We had incredible tropical drinks (tried 4 different ones that were all awesome.....we also go there for happy hour and they were only $7.95 or something! WELL worth it). Server was Kevin and he was SOOO attentive! Took time to give us details about their menu and the board and we never lacked for anything! Great job Kevin! Now the food is where this place REALLY shines! All fresh made from scratch the portions are large, filling and absolutely delicious! We had the crab and shrimp queso served with fresh fried flour tortilla chips, the AMAZING poblano pepper soup (a MUST have) crab cakes and dynamite shrimp tacos. I can't say enough good about Anaya's. It was quiet enough to have a good conversation and was a perfect date night! I hope everyone will try it! We need these good restaurants to keep popping up! Anaya served my Bourbon Street Red Snapper Superbly, my gastronomical needs satiated & the Texas heat cooled down with HH Tito's Cosmopolitan while helping digest my food intake. All the rest of my group enjoyed their lunch meals as well. The service was caring making everyone at ease n making good conversation. We were about 16 people in the group. CONCLUSION: A very strong 4.75 with wonderfully fresh seafood and live music. Great staff. Wish they had more shellfish options. . PROS: lots of excellent fin fish options. Sauces and sides are excellent. Happy hour is great value on drinks. Very accommodating for keeping items gluten free. . CONS: minimal options on shell fish. Would like a nice lobster or scallops on the menu. Not many GF options for apps or soups. . I was craving a po'boy, but I didn't feel like trekking too far so I decided to give Anaya a try. I ordered the shrimp po'boy and a cup of gumbo. The po'boy was a nice size and FULL of shrimp! I wish it had a tad bit more remoulade sauce but it was still pretty tasty. The gumbo on the other hand was kind of bland but edible with plenty of shrimp and sausage. I'd definitely go back for another po'boy, but I'd skip the gumbo and maybe give the smoke grilled oysters a try. read more

OMG! I said if I eat out it will be at Anaya's! I have tried several dishes and they all were tastefully done. I love the style and atmosphere. The Specialties are always the best ever. The Authentic flavor will blow your mind. Perfect for birthdays and Celebrations. To visit this place is a must. If you're a seafood lover, don't pass up Anaya's! Anayas is an amazing seafood place. The food is delicious, fresh creative, and very unique. They have a soup sampler that is delicious. Their shrimp tacos are phenomenal and they have a good variety of seafood plates. The drinks are also verygood. Their service was fantastic very attentive. Always checking on you when needed. Well, our group of four really enjoyed the food. It was delicious, but the manager was not friendly. The icing on the cake was when we had signed our checks, not five minutes later the manager asked us to leave as they were so many guests waiting for a table. There was a group of 3, and we had barely put our wallets away. Very, very rude. Here is a comment from one of my guests: "That was not OK. Super bad manners. I have never encountered that. Found this Seafood gem today! The people who work there are so kind, and you are waited on quickly, the service is spot on! The restaurant itself is so welcoming and they do not rush you. We sat and had a nice visit over a wonderful peach old fashioned! Yum! I love good seafood and I'm always trying to find some, well today we did! Their food is delicious, catfish cooked lightly and seasoned just right, the shrimp were awesome! If I could give them 20 stars or more, I would!! We will definitely be back! On Friday, February 28, 2025, my friend and I travelled to a seafood restaurant I found called Anaya's in Dallas Texas, near Addison Texas. I was so pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was not loud, not overly crowded. Our waiter was wonderful, he made food suggestions, explained a dish, if we had questions, and was very attentive to our needs, giving a personal touch. The food was delicious. I had the blackened catfish, with sweet potatoes, and slaw. I started with a crab bisque, everything was so good, I was extremely happy. Even the water was good. And compared to prices at other seafood restaurants, the prices at Anaya's is reasonable. Whether dine in or takeout, I hope many will dine at this establishment, I know I will be back. read more

As soon as we walked in we were sat, Hugo was our server and made great recommendations. The manager Jason was also very friendly and accommodating. The ambiance is very nice and clean. The food was AMAZING, the calamari was crispy and juicy, the bourbon snapper was fresh and seasoned to perfection. The flan was very tasty too. My husband and I found this place by accident. We had a reservation at a different restaurant but I got the dates wrong. So we googled nearby reviews and found Anaya's and I'm so glad we did. Vibe: The atmosphere reminded us of restaurant we've visited in Mexico. We live visiting Mexico and love the atmosphere. Cleanliness: There was sanitizer at hostess desk and the restaurant was very clean. They cleaned our tables and seat with sanitizer wipes, not a rag from a bucket. Appetizer: We order a 1/2 dozen of raw oysters and a dozen char grilled oysters. They were hot and delicious and after we received our appetizer we noticed a table receiving their shrimp cocktail. They make it fresh at your table with actual tequila. We'll try it next time. Meal: I ordered the Parmesan Flounder with broccoli and whipped garlic mashed potatoes. My husband ordered the Dynamite shrimp tacos beans and rice. You will not be disappointed with either meal. The fish, broccoli and potatoes were delicious. The shrimp tacos has a hint of heat but not overwhelming. Drinks: I ordered (2) pineapple jalapeño mezcal margarita with tajin on the rim (OMG) a little heavy on the ice but other than that delicious. My husband ordered (2) house margarita Service: We were seated immediately (4:30 on a Saturday) and the server Jessica was very friendly and knowledgeable. The food is just ok. It wasn't bad, and it wasn't the best I've ever had. The menu is a bit underwhelming for the establishment to be considered a "seafood" restaurant. I ordered the crab Mac & cheese cake as an appetizer. For the price, I was surprised to see lump crab meat inside & they didn't skimp. But the Mac & cheese mimicked stouffer's frozen Mac & cheese (to me)-- I just highly doubt it's scratch made. My entree was the catfish , comes with fries & hush puppies. Opted to have it blackened (options are fried, grilled or blackened) and I was soooo annoyed they put the fish ON TOP of the fries. Like why??? That would only make sense with a fried fish. The fries underneath were soggy so I could only eat the ones on the edge of the plate. Service was super mid & lackluster. She wasn't rude but was simply doing her job. I didn't even get her name. Delicious!!!! We are visiting Dallas for the weekend and this place was worth the wait. We were told they didn't have any reservations but would work us in for a table of 2 at 8:15pm. I'm glad we waited. I think houston has the best seafood but this restaurant was excellent!!! I had the Redfish Oscar and my husband had the Flounder. We don't get to visit Dallas often but I will definitely recommend this place. The calamari was good but could use more seasoning if I had to complain about something. Well worth the trip. read more

The staff are knowledgeable and helpful, and they make you feel welcome and valued. They greet you with a smile and take your order promptly. They check on you frequently and refill your drinks. No issues at all, just great service. 1 Star. Food - I ordered the calamari appetizer and Andrea's sandwich, and I was blown away by both. My cod was very flaky and well-seasoned. The sweet potatoes and broccoli were cooked just right. The food and service were so good that another friend and I went today. She had a shrimp and pasta dish. She said it was very good. I got the catfish and shrimp platter. My fish and shrimp were fried to perfection. The shrimp were big and tender and lightly battered. The catfish filet was huge. It was fried in cornmeal and seasoned just right. The slaw and fries also tasted good. Even the cocktail sauce was perfect. Let me tell you about the service. My car had a flat tire when I got ready to leave. I was sitting on the outside when one of the staff asked if I needed service. I explained I was waiting for AAA to come tow my car to Discount Tire. The ETA was 1 hour and 45 minutes. Two members of Anaya's staff changed my tire and told me about Discount Tire across the street. Those guys would not let me pay them. They would not even take a tip. I have never experienced such great service. I highly recommend Anaya's for the great food, and especially the great service. read more
