Walked in on a Tuesday night around 6pm. It wasn't too busy, got seated right away. We decided on a dry rub wings, with fried pickles(a must) All was great. Conan took great care of us. I would come back again.

A restaurant that is known for their wings. The restaurant is very open, lots of space and wasn't very busy when we were there. We sat at the bar. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. She did check in us often. The manager even came by to see how we were doing. I ordered the roast beef on weck bun. I wanted to try something different and want the place is known for. The meat was very good, however the weck bun is not for me. We also got wings that looked great and were very good. The soft drinks are overpriced, but other than that it's a very nice place.

Really glad we stopped in here. Always wanted to try the original while in Buffalo but haven't had the chance. Finally got to an Anchor bar though. Sat at the bar and got great service from the bartender and the manager also stopped by to see how the meal was. Got the Buffalo dip for appetizer and would def get it again. For my meal got 10 wings for $19.99. I would def come here again but my only serious problem was the iced tea was $7. For $5 more I could've gotten a Bloody Mary w a wing in it. Great place but $7 for iced tea is a bit too much.

As a frequent traveler to the Buffalo area, I was excited to finally try the Anchor Bar. Visited the location near Niagara Falls on a Wednesday evening. Good size location near a Holiday Inn. Our group of 3 waited a bit for someone to seat us. We then waited longer (felt like 10 minutes) for our server to engage. We she finally came over we ordered drinks and food. She mostly came over when called, not really to check how we were doing. A positive note they let me sub regular wings into the Mac & cheese dish. Menu description made it sound delicious. Mac was not as creamy as I hoped it would be. Sparse blue cheese crumbles, no crusties on the mac and cheese either. Wings were crispy but not too flavorful. I ordered hot bacon jam and only tasted bacon when I picked up a piece off the plate. One thing to consider is that location is right in front of a bus stop. I noticed large groups coming as we were leaving. There were also a few tour busses in the parking lot. We parked without a pass for a bit and ended up being fine. Not sure what rules are. My co-worker ordered Anchor Bar Bloody Mary. She said it was amazing.

Came here to of course try the world's first famous creation of Buffalo Wings! When we got there, it was packed, and we waited in line for over an hour. Understandable since we didn't have reservations and it was a Saturday but somebody giving us a head's up about wait time would've been nice. Considering the entrance was getting crowded with people waiting for a table, not knowing how long they'd be waiting for and nobody at the front to give us any information. We waited, nonetheless since we really wanted to try Anchor Bar. (Little did we later realize that there are several Anchor Bar branches throughout Buffalo). When we were seated, our server Tia came after a bit and apologized for the wait, we didn't give it much mind, we weren't in a rush. We waited the hour, we could wait a little while longer. At least now we were seated. We ended up ordering the bone-in wings; we got 10 buffalo and 10 dry rub lemon pepper wings and a plate of fries. The food arrived quick. The buffalo wings were amazing and tasted fresh but they were light, I wish they added more buffalo sauce. The lemon pepper rub was delicious and the fries were good. Delicious and worth the hype! Especially if you're a tourist.

Had the famous wings! Was a quick stop but they were delivered pretty fast to my bar seat and the bartender who waited on me was great. I would go again. The restaurant didn't have any major appeal in the dining room but its not really that kind of place. Good local wing place.

I mean buffalo wings in Buffalo is like a must isn't it?! This location was in walking distance from our hotel and a stones throw from Niagara Falls!! The wings were good and the flavor choices were quite varied. Service was good for a busy Friday night. Our waitress did forget our appetizer but it did make it out to the table quickly after we reminded her

Had to try this place since it's pretty renown in Buffalo. Got 10 wings with the spicy garlic sauce. The sauce it self was really good. The wings on the other hand were a bit underwhelming. They were juicy but not crispy. Was still good just not the best wings I've had. Service was a little slow but it was a busy Friday night and to be expected. The restaurant itself had a weird smell the whole evening.

Very large portions. Biggest omelette I ever had! The service was great. Asked for a to-go-box and a refill of my drink and the server was thoughtful enough to bring a to-go-cup without having to ask

We started with some mixed drinks. This is the original place of the buffalo wings. My wife choose the 3 piece pepperoni rolls with sauce while I went with 10 piece boneless garlic parm. Then I got my wife the lava cake (not on menu). This is a Military friendly location.

Average. I couldn't wait to try the wings and weck combo. The wings are to die for! But the beef on deck was similar to an Arby's roast beef fast food sandwich. Bummer, can't wait to try another spot tomorrow, hoping ut is kuch better.

The wings are good. And historical so it's a must try! I would recommend sitting in the bar area where it is more lively :)

Good restaurant with a lot of tradition. Wanted to try where the original Buffalo wing was invented. Solid but had better wings.

This place has sweet locals in spades. But the food is just ok, and the beer selection is just mass-produced lagers. In all fairness, we didn't try the wings; we just had a bunch of appetizers. They were all fine, but they were most likely premade, frozen and then fried. The good news: the staff were great. Super friendly and helpful. Also, the bar itself was a cool, divey sports bar vibe. Totally ok if you're looking for a local watering hole. Not a great option for killer food.

There were more than a few day drinkers hanging around the bar and patio, but no one seemed inebriated. To be honest, though, I probably wouldn't bring my kids here on a Friday or Saturday night. It was obvious we weren't locals and even more obvious we were there to eat (not drink), but I did not feel at all uncomfortable or out of place. Our server (a blond barkeep) was super duper nice. She was friendly, pleasant, and chatty. She definitely enhanced our visit! And the food was totally awesome! It was our first time having poutine and I'm not sure it was standard (it had shredded cheese instead of cheese curds) but it was delicious! Like really really really good. The burger was juicy and thick. The fries were totally yummy. Kid #1 said the chicken parm sandwich was good, and I thoroughly enjoyed my Philly cheesesteak. The prices were totally reasonable, too! Definitely a bargain considering the decent price for excellent food! For sure we'd visit Cool Hand Luke's again!

We wanted refills on our beverages, but server was busy. By the time drinks were refilled and another pint was brought, we were done with our food. We still managed to tip the server. I got into Canada early, so I decided to go have some lunch. I walked in, and immediately felt like I just came home. The bartender, this lovely young woman named Onya, came up and took my order. I ordered a black and tan. She suggested I go for the smooth black and tan which I did. It did not disappoint! I may have to have my black and tans like this for the rest of my life. I ordered a cup of the buffalo wing chowder, and she said it's one of the most popular items on the menu. I asked her to bring that out first before my Classic Caesar salad. Let me tell you something about that soup. Now I'm not a big soup guy, but I do like chowders, and this was the absolute best I've ever had. Had. I've had clam chowder all over the United States but man this one absolutely nails it! It has that buffalo wing flavor which just perfect and not overpowering. I should have gotten the bigger bowl of it instead of the cup. Now let's talk about the Caesar salad. It was absolutely perfect! It had the perfect ratio of dressing to lettuce, not just poured on top like most places but actually tossed. Onya said she did it herself, so massive kudos for her going above and beyond the call of duty. Overall this meal hit on all cylinders and did not disappoint. I will definitely be back here a couple more times while I'm in Canada. If you need to find me, you know where to find me. The bottom line? You really need to get the buffalo chicken wing chowder. It is absolutely an amazing soup and will change your life. And if you like a good classic Caesar, you can't do better than this one!
