    For anyone being courted by Ancira Nissan to sell their vehicle to them I have 2 words..... SELLER BEWARE My mom had a 2015 Ford XLT with less than 30,000 miles...... The KBB value on the vehicle had a range of $12,400 - $15,800. The vehicle did have a NTSB recall that happened at the end of January so the part was not available yet. There were also 2 dents on the front passenger wheel well from my 85 Yr old dad rubbing the side of the garage one day. Dad did not see a reason for him to have 2 vehicles so I started the process on KBB. Ancira Nissan (Zyril) pressed hard to get the vehicle in for an inspection so Ancira could buy it. An appoint was set for this morning and my Dad and sister showed up on time. Zyril or whomever did a cursory walk though of the vehicle making notes of dings and scratches. Mind you they never took it for a test drive and came back with the minimum offer of $12,400. We turned this offer down immediately Zyril then had his manager come look at the vehicle.... They finally actually took it for test drive. I truly believe this was in spite of us rejecting their low ball offer because when they came back.... Zyril gave a my sister a new "Trade In Breakdown" J.D. Power Now the value listed was $10,975. That was crossed out and $8,000 was written. I guess this was their version of sour grapes for not getting us to jump at the first offer. If this is how this dealership acts when someone is looking to sell a car to them, I am sure the tactics do not change much in Trading in a vehicle to buy an new car.

    On December 28th, 2023, I brought my Infiniti to Ancira Nissan for a routine oil change. I have used Ancira for the past eight years. I was a loyal customer, giving them high recommendations in the past. But sadly, they were not loyal to me. I received a call from the service advisor that my vehicle was ready for pickup. He also informed me that my central drive belt was torn and needed to be replaced. The service tech sent him a photo to show me. There were eight other recommendations totaling around 3k. What concerned me was the technician didn't check my tire pressure or top off all my fluids, but they were quick to recommend 3k worth of repairs. I then arrived shortly after that and met with the service advisor. He showed me a photo of the broken belt and told me that part of it had broken off my central drive belt. The service technician also wrote on the "customer detailed copy" that I had a torn belt. I declined all their recommendations. When I arrived home, I inspected my central drive belt, and it was intact and had no damage. I then called the service advisor and asked for a photo. After receiving the photo, I sent the picture to a neighbor who used to be an ASE Certified Tech for his opinion. I then drove my vehicle to his garage, and we used his 4-post car lift to inspect my vehicle. He also confirmed there is no damage to the central drive belt. We also reviewed every recommendation on the CDC; my vehicle only needed rear brakes. I then met with the service manager on December 30th, 2023, to discuss my concerns. In that meeting, he told me he asked the tech if that piece of torn belt came from my central drive belt, and the tech told him that it did. He asked me to bring in my vehicle on January 2nd so he could inspect and confirm any damage or tear from the central drive belt. He and 4 other techs confirmed there were no signs of physical damage. While we were in the garage, another employee named Travis arrived and inspected my belt, and he insulted me by saying that the broken belt was already there because it came from another belt. Not only did Ancira Nissan take responsibility for misrepresenting needed repairs, but they also told me that my accusation was unfounded. I have a photo and written evidence (see pictures) from them that I had a torn belt that mt belt needed to be replaced. What would your perception and suspicion be if this were your vehicle? If they make recommendations on needed repairs, you better confirm before authorizing. I LOST ALL TRUST with Ancira Nissan.

Since buying another car wasn't planned, I was working within a very specific budget and appreciated that the initial representative who contacted me by phone and text was friendly and responsive. However, once I shared my budget, I felt like the level of communication changed. When I was ready to visit the dealership, I was handed off to another salesperson who was kind, but seemed unprepared and unfamiliar with my situation. I was also surprised that their system still contained personal information from more than 10 years ago that had not been verified or updated before my visit. One thing I did appreciate was their large selection of used Hondas. I've owned Hondas my entire life, so I felt comfortable shopping there. I also liked their "one-price" sales model, although it does mean there's little to no room for negotiation. My biggest concern involved the financing process. We arrived with a pre-approval from our credit union and made it very clear what our maximum budget was, including taxes and fees. We were encouraged to let the dealership submit our application to multiple lenders to see if they could beat our financing. Later, we learned from our credit union that Gunn Honda had submitted the application for approximately $10,000 more than the amount we were originally approved for. Naturally, those applications were denied, and we were then encouraged to finance through a different lender at a much higher loan amount and monthly payment. That experience left us feeling like our stated budget wasn't being respected. Thankfully, we stayed with our credit union and were still able to purchase a vehicle that was only slightly above our original target. As a woman shopping for a vehicle, I also felt discouraged from asking questions. Since this was a used car, I wanted to understand the inspection process, ask about the tires, and discuss the minor damage that appeared on the vehicle history report. Instead of feeling like my questions were welcomed, I felt as though I had to justify why I wanted that information. Purchasing a vehicle is a major investment, and every buyer deserves to feel comfortable asking questions without feeling dismissed. Once we decided to purchase the vehicle, the paperwork moved surprisingly fast, which I appreciated. I also liked that I received permanent license plates the same day instead of temporary paper tags. That said, the overall delivery experience felt a little underwhelming. It seemed like once the paperwork was signed, the excitement ended. I've purchased vehicles from other dealerships where they took a little extra time to make the experience feel special like making sure the vehicle was spotless, celebrating the purchase, or simply showing more appreciation for earning a customer's business. While the detail department did end up filling the gas tank, it initially sounded like that wasn't even guaranteed, which left a poor impression. Overall, my experience was okay. There were definitely positives, including the inventory selection and efficient closing process. However, I believe Gunn Honda could improve communication, better respect customers' financial boundaries, make buyers feel more comfortable asking questions, and put a little more care into the overall customer experience. As someone who has been a loyal Honda owner for many years, I was hoping to leave feeling excited about my purchase instead of simply relieved that the process was over.

Despite the car's age, they were very proactive with ensuring it was in excellent condition through their reconditioning process, and they also took care of a couple very minor cosmetic issues that I didn't notice until after I took delivery of the vehicle. My salesperson, Nathan, was very responsive to my messages and went above-and-beyond taking care of my questions and requests. Even though I purchased the vehicle long-distance, he treated me just as important as a local buyer, and the dealership's capability for e-signing documents meant that I didn't actually have to spend all that much time there when I arrived to pick up the car. In summary, I am blown away by the sales experience here. Should any friends/family in the area wish to shop for a vehicle in the future, I will gladly recommend LR San Antonio, secure in the knowledge that they will have a good experience and get a good car as well.

Why would dealer sell this unit knowing it had issues? It's been 2 weeks and although we were told they would get us in a new one, no one is returning my calls to make this right! Salesman (Arturo) is not responding to my messages and always states he is with another customer but will call me back. I have left several messages for sales manager (Chad) who I spoke to once and was told he would get on this right away, still waiting. I should have read reviews on dealer prior to purchase
