We were most impressed by the cross-contamination efforts they made. When we said we needed 3 gluten-free pizzas, they immediately wiped down their prep area and changed gloves. At most pizza restaurants, the problems come from the toppings because the staff use their hands to scoop them up. At &pizza, they use spoons to put toppings into their hands, thus avoiding contamination. We loved the huge amount of different toppings. The most impressive part of the store, other than the delicious pizza, is the speed. I have never seen pizza made that quickly. We were very impressed by the lack of oil rings on the pizza boxes when we finished our pizzas. They have the most delightfully friendly staff which is an added bonus Their GF pizzas are substantially cheaper than Mellow Mushroom's pizzas and remarkably tastier. I have been wanting to try this new exciting option for awhile now. Finally we were able to go, unfortunately the pizza was so awful. It was doughy, soggy, and the taste was very odd. The vegan cheese bubbled up so much it looked like oatmeal after it came out of the oven. Speaking about the oven the pizza only goes in for just a few minutes. Doesn't seem right when normally pizzas take 15-20 mins to bake. My significant other had missing items from his "OG" pizza. We were very confused with the menu options vs what we were told by their staff. We had a friend in town who is vegan. &pizza seemed to offer vegan options so we decided to give it a try. When our friend ordered, she was told by the person making the pizza that the vegan sausage was not really vegan. She ended up getting just a vegan mozzarella pizza only after confirming it was truly a vegan option. She was not satisfied and we were very disappointed. We felt misled by the menu options and will not be dining here in the future. read more

I always order the same thing (my usual: Ancient grains dough, mushroom truffle sauce, tomato, mushroom, sausage, bacon, shredded mozzerella, arugula, basil pesto) and I get visit the chain so much I can order this when I'm drunk (literally). So I know exactly the potential &pizza could offer and what my order should taste like....but the Reston location is by far the worst one I've been to, and I usually go after a night of drinking in DC so that's saying a lot that I remember how bad my experience was. Maybe because it was new and the staff was still getting used to the flow but I kept saying one ingredient and they would ignore or put something different on. When I visited early September they had run out of Ancient Grains. Or they didn't carry it, I can't remember... they also put my sauce right in the middle and only spread it out to about 60% of the dough so I had a lot of crust. I also felt that they were skimping with the quantity of each ingredient they put on so I had to repeatedly ask for more cheese or more arugula or more mushrooms. Very sad this was my experience as I was so excited and counting down the days for an &pizza to be located near me. read more

Worst service ever. Went to pick up my order and they said it wasn't ready yet even though it was ordered 45 minutes ago. Made them look it up and they said someone else picked it up and was I sure that I didn't pick it up. They finally agreed to make it again but said I would have to get back in line and it would take 30 more minutes. Asked for a refund and they said they couldn't do that and I would have to call customer service. When you look it up there is no customer service number. You text them and they don't get back to you. Just horrible. read more

This is my new favorite pizza place anywhere! I don't usually like thin crust, but I love these pizzas. My first visit I ordered the Gnarlic and my boyfriend got the American Honey. We had a heated debate about which one was better because we each loved what we ordered so much! We traded pieces and still couldn't decide; both pizzas were amazing. We've been back about 4 or 5 more times since then and always get those same two pizzas and share them. One pizza is perfect for one person, and they come out so fast! Based on my experience at every other pizza place in the world, I didn't think it was even possible to make pizzas that fast. The service has also always been good. Lastly, I see that some other reviewers have mentioned the music being loud, but management must have heard the criticism and toned it down because I don't ever think I've even heard them playing music - definitely not at any kind of memorable volume. I tried to take advantage of a buy one, get one free promo. The app would not accept the code stating invalid. The ad said the promo runs through May 10. I tried to call the location for help....They do not offer any phone number. I figured I would address the issue and get it corrected when I picked up the order. The manager said he has no power to correct orders and to text corporate. There is no phone number to call corporate either. The manager was not wearing a mask when all of his colleagues were. This place is a good option for a design your own pizza setup. You can add as many toppings as you would like for one flat fee. This is great if you are someone that likes to load up on toppings. They have a really nice variety to pick from, and the pizza has been tasty ever time i've ordered here. Occasionally the wait time to pick up an order can be longer than designated, but its never too bad. I would definitely recommend it if you have not tried it out yet read more

I work in the emergency room and went to &pizza in Reston to pick up my free pie and was treated so poorly at the store and was discreminated by Shawon Khan. I ordered 2 pies, 1 for me and the second one for a friend, and they only had one at the store. The second pie was somehow lost so I asked Shawon if he could remake it? I showed him my order on the &pizza app and he told me I need to contact &pizza app because I order through the app and there is nothing he can do. He refused to remake the pie. Shawon said, "you paid &pizza app and not me. I don't have your order." He start yelling at me and told me to leave the store. it's very sad how &pizza employee treated the first line responders. I will never come back to &pizza. I have never in my life felt so discreminated until now. &pizza, please don't give away your pie if this is how your store is going to treat us. read more

Ordered a pepperoni pizza and, while flavorful, the pepperoni itself comes out burned to a crisp. That's a fundamental problem with the cooking process and I hope they can fix that because, otherwise, the place is pretty nice. Friendly people working there. read more
