Decided to give this location another try since they are under new management. We ordered 4 pizzas for pickup through the app, only 3 were made (they made it for us when we let them know), and all 3 were incorrect. And we're not talking missing an ingredient incorrect. For example, I ordered a pineapple/chicken/BBQ sauce pizza and received a sausage and pickled onion pizza. Unfortunately we didn't check our pizzas until we got home. I ended up having to cook dinner since I don't eat sausage. We won't be giving this location another try, but will continue to support the chain since their pizza is awesome when you receive what you ordered. read more

They give you so many customizable options to pick from that won't cost extra (except for a few), so there really isn't a reason to overdue it on toppings. I had eaten at a DC location of &pizza before and was excited to try the Springfield location when I moved in to the area. The pizza sauce that came on the 2 pizzas I ordered was bizarre. It looked like they put marinara down first, then some sort of cream sauce or alfredo. It turned into a pink sauce that wasn't too appetizing. Decided to dine here with a 2 of my friends after roaming around the mall. It was my first time here and "build-your-own-food" restaurants can be anxiety-inducing. Luckily, one of my friends had eaten here before and showed me how to navigate the menu (one side had the specialty pizzas and the other side had the create-your-own-pizza) and order properly. Overall, the create-your-own-pizza was well worth it and pretty easy to do. There were unlimited toppings to choose from. The workers even gave us the option to add extra or add less with no extra charge. I was surprised at how cheap and filling the pizza was. Definitely would recommend it to another friend! read more

Dear management, Please see below for my initial post about you all a couple years back. However, for the past year your crew's quality has been dropping. They seem to lack the will to go the extra distance, and even if excusable they have become more rude over the year in general. My most recent interaction was with Stephanie and Francis, on Wed, Feb 20, 2019, between 8:40 and 9pm. As usual, I ordered using the app and arrived to pick up my order. Both of these little girls looked right at me and didn't even acknowledge me. Not wanting to be rude, I didn't interrupt them-- even when both decided to take of their gloves off to walk to the back. Meanwhile, I noticed that the two girls seemed to have some sort of drama with another crew member who was stretching the dough. He proceeded to give them the middle finger while they chatted up their issue. Finally, one of the ladies yells from across the back and say, "you want something?" At this point I lost my patience and responded, "I wouldn't be standing here if I didn't. Whatever drama you all have back there keep it to yourself, and get me my pizza." So one them yells back at me and says, "Well, why didn't you say something l". I said, "I just did and stop being a smartass". Then they said I cursed at them and gave me 'the hand' and turned around and walked away as if we were on streets and I wasn't a paying customer. I come to get pizza from you all just about every week or two--so much so that I rack up at least 2 or 3 pizzas for free on the app during the year. I hope to keep coming back but do worry about theses two girls doing something to my pizza. Last but not least, the pizza did not have all the toppings nor was it even cut properly. Just another example of their lack of pride or commitment to their jobs. Just had an odd experience at &Pizza. As my coworkers and I were checking out we were told we couldn't have our pizzas in a "to go" boxes because we were eating in??!! Even after we explained that we knew that we wouldn't eat the whole pizza and would have leftovers. The server was rude, short, and unconcerned. This was a first as the workers at &Pizza are normally nice, engaging, and fun loving. I rated a 3 because in spite of the poor service, the food was still good. 11/15/17 UPDATE I received a free pizza card from &Pizza with the hopes that I would give it another try. I love & pizza. I honestly don't eat any other pizza since I've tried this one. I create my own pizza every time and I think I found the perfect combination. I like how there is a great variety and if your vegan you have options as well. The different branches do have different perks to it. I've been to one in DC where you can even add tater tots on top. It's pretty fast service and depending where it's located they are open on the late night. I recommend any and everyone who lives/visits the dmv area to try it. read more

Lately the service is getting worse. The people making your pizza seem to not care to get your pizza out on time or pay attention to what you want. I noticed now that there are way too many employees behind the counter and it seems to cause confusion and chaos. My experience today was really annoying. I ordered a simple cheese pizza for my son and at the end of the pizza belt my son's pizza just sitting at the end of the belt just waiting for someone to pick it up. As we were waiting, the belt kept pushing the pizza up against the frame while one of the employees kept walking around talking to other employees. I looked around waiting for them to do something and they didn't want acknowledge that they had customers waiting. The line started to build up and my son ( a 6 year old) kept asking is anyone going to give us our pizza. A year ago this place was fast and efficient, now it's slow and sloppy. What happened? At the same time a customer who had placed their order online had to walk out because &Pizza didn't have it ready for him and his son. They couldn't even make it right away for him because 5 people were covering one of the computers in the back. It really feels like the blind leading the blind. The hubs and I stopped by &pizza to grab a quick dinner. We were slightly skeptical, as our previous experience was a bit underwhelming, but, I was pleasantly surprised with our pizzas! I had the Gnarlic (traditional crust topped with roasted garlic puree, ricotta spread, fresh mozzarella, quattro formaggi blend, garlic oil, black pepper, and the optional (but, not optional for me) salami (I requested extraaa) - this came out really cheesy and yummy, and the crust was crispy :D I'm glad that they turned up that oven a bit! I was, however, a little disappointed with the 'fresh' basil, as it wasn't fresh and just brown (just took those off). We also had a 'customized' Maverick (traditional crust with spicy tomato sauce, mozzarella, salami, 39-day aged pepperoni, classic fennel Italian sausage, red pepper chili oil, and and Parmesan reggiano sprinklings on top) - this was also pretty yummy, as the request for additional meats made it quite fulfilling, and the spicy tomato with the red pepper chili oil was a great combination. However, the employees had put up some of the chairs and after paying, we asked where we could sit since it was pretty packed except the table with chairs on top and the cashier just gave an attitude and said "I don't know" and rolled her eyes. I laughed because I thought maybe I put too much meat. So I'm waiting while my family eats their pizza and she comes and brings me this pizza with all this mushroom (which I hate extremely). I'm like ok maybe they thought one of the meats was actually mushroom? So I went back to the employee and told her what I put on my pizza and this definitely wasn't it. A guy overheard me, came over and he's like oh I think that might be my pizza...while he's eating one of my slices. This place has really gone downhill since I last ate here. I was in line ordering a pizza. I asked for the classic original pizza sauce. The lady that was helping me with my order applied a very small amount of sauce to my pizza. She was about to pass it off to the next part where they add cheese when I politely asked if she could add more sauce. She added a tiny amount of sauce, almost nothing. I had to ask a second time for them to add more sauce, and a male employee told me "If we put more sauce it's going to get soggy." I was like "Bro, it's a pizza. It'll be fine. Put more sauce." I hate when restaurants pretend like you can add whatever toppings you want to your food when they're just going to cheap out and tell you you've hit some arbitrary maximum limit, especially when we're discussing something like SAUCE. It's not like I asked you to put a pound of bacon and meatballs on the thing. Okay, so my problems ended there, right? Wrong. After the guy working the cheese station applied a small amount of cheese he passed the pizza along to the lady at the veggie station. I asked her if it was possible to have a little more cheese. She took a pinch, maybe five total tiny shreds of cheese, and dropped them on the pizza. Are you guys hurting that bad financially that you can't put cheese on a friggin pizza? Tried this place for the first time and now I know why everyone goes here for pizza...it's so G-O-O-D! You can either customize your own pizza or get one thats already on the menu. Their drinks are housemade craft soda (Ginger Berry Lemonade is the best) and you can get your pizza in less than 10 minutes. I customized my own pizza with mushroom truffle (SOO GOOD) (they have a wide variety of sauces), shredded mozzarella, jalapeno, pepperoni, mushrooms, and bacon. After my pizza was cooked the person at the register asked if i wanted more toppings added so I ended up getting the white garlic sauce (as good as ranch on your pizza). I tried all the different flavors on the housemade craft soda and the best one is the ginger berry lemonade! This place was pretty cool. I think I messed up my own experience by getting too many toppings. I couldn't decide between 3 pizza sauces: pesto, mushroom, and spicy tomato, so I split my pizza into 3 sections with each sauce. My favorite was the mushroom one. You can get as many toppings as you want, and there's only an up charge if you add shrimp. You can even get sunny side up or scrambled eggs! I stacked my pizza and added garlic sauce on top. I got way too many pickled things (banana peppers, olives, pickled onions).my pizza ended up getting soggy pretty quickly, but my friends pizza had a nice crust, so I think it's my fault for overloading it.
