I have been to this restaurant three times. Most recently I came with a large group, 12 people. We had a reservation. We were sat at our table pretty quickly upon arrival. We ordered the calamari and bruschetta for appetizers. Both dishes are excellent. For my meal, I ordered spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs are one of their specialty dishes. This too was very delicious. The owners are incredibly approachable, kind, and love to come by and visit your table. I will come to this place many more times even though I don't live close. I highly recommend this great Italian restaurant.

The jury is still out on this one. I want to love this place, but our first visit here was a mix. Most of what we had was very good, but major pitfalls in the service and some inconsistencies in the caliber of food leave me wondering... I've driven by this place about 100 times and finally decided to give it a while. From the outside the facade is pretty generic. Inside however, it's a small space but still packs a big punch with creating a nice atmosphere. There is a nice green wall with a slick neon sign right past the smallest vestibule I think I've ever seen. The bar is painted a sophisticated dark blue and there are chic gold table lamps on the table tops that add to the ambiance. Our server seemed scatterbrained and not focused. There were times we were questioning whether our food was even coming out. He forgot our drinks- 2 Cokes, and had to be asked if they were coming out. We ordered bruschetta as an appetizer. We had specifically ordered it without onions, but when it came out- it had onions, so that was an even longer wait than anticipated. I was saving room for dessert, so I went with Lobster Bisque, and my husband had the Pasta Di Mare. The Lobster Bisque was fine, but I've had better. The Pasta Fettuccine di Mare was absolutely amazing! If this place is capable of delivering such a stellar dish, I feel compelled to give them another try for other things. I had the key lime pie for dessert. It was pretty overpriced for what I got, and felt that the taste just didn't wow me in any way. I didn't like the texture of the pie itself (I detected coconut perhaps) and I really just wanted a velvety smooth Key Lime Pie. Overall, dining here had more ups than downs, but the consistency varied from dish to dish. Also the service being pretty spotty- I would hope the next visit, we get someone with their head a bit more focused on providing a more attentive posture.

Had a good dinner here with friends a little while ago. I had the chicken Alfredo and my boyfriend had the lasagna. We both liked our meal. This place looks a little weird from the outside but don't let that deter you. The inside is nice and has some fun glassware.

Went here for a date, and was surprised upon walking through the door. This place is easy to miss when passing by on Beltline, in fact I have driven down many a time and have NEVER noticed it. So when my date mentioned it, not going to lie I was a bit unsure of the choice. However upon walking in it's definitely more of a intimate family business style place, not a trendy place like you're going to find in Dallas. However the food and staff made up for it. Although I wasn't a fan of our particular server, as she was young and didn't seem to really care and wasn't on top of things really. Overall I feel that the staff was very friendly staff, we had multiple people including one of the owners stop by our table and ask how things were and make sure all was good. We got a bottle of Tempranillo wine which was amazing called Celeste. I ordered the rigatoni burrata per recommendation from the server, and added italian sausage to it, which to be honest the sauce was good but the dish as a whole fell a little flat for me. It was too much cheese and not enough pasta to go with the cheese and sausage mix. I wish I had gotten one of the mushroom raviolis which was what I was debating between. My date got the baked ziti with filet mignon as his added meat which he said was amazing. Cleaned his plate right off. I tried some of the steak and it was tender and juicy, and I'm not even a steak person. Overall I think the restaurant is a great date night or place for you to celebrate if you want an intimate atmosphere, I just wasn't impressed by my dish which is why there is a lack of stars. Will update it if I go back and try something else. Will say it seems to be a place where regulars go, as it was packed on a Friday night even as late as we went around 8 pm

Absolutely loved this place! Cozy atmosphere, authentic Italian flavors, and every dish was fresh and delicious. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the service was warm and welcoming. A hidden gem can't wait to come back!

Salmon dry and tasteless, pasta sauce good. Service average, long wait for food. We would not recommend.

They have lamps on the table and you change the light to let your server know you need them. They copycat the Improv on two items minimum per person. Drinks are a bit on the pricey side. The Henny-Rita cocktail is delicious and I could actually taste the Hennessy. Bottles of water are priced decently. My server he was polite and friendly. Sometimes I feel these places can nickel and dime you. They automatically had gratuity to your bill. Please NOTE: The bands tend to start late. Overall if you want to hear some good music and be entertained. Then this a great place to start the night. The crowd does change from grown and sexy to young and fun. I will return and come back a few times a year for live music performances. I give them a 3.5 for the whole vibe and visit. Since I can't give them a half star. I will push it to a 4 star. My drink was good, service pretty good and music was great.

I let our server know about my son's allergies and after letting her know, she went to talk to the chef. The chef came out and asked a few questions and asked if we had any concerns. I thought this was great! He was very kind and helpful. My son ordered the beef birria tacos as he was familiar with it and has ordered it before and I ordered the truffle veggie burger. The truffle veggie burger was good, it has a light breading on the outside. The bun was soft and has sesame seeds on top. The truffle was not over powering. The French fries were good and crisp. If you're looking for a relaxing place with good food, this is a great place to gather with your friends or family. They have a great variety of options-to happy hour, to half off appetizers, and the drinks- so ascetically pleasing. The seats are spacious and comfy so you don't feel like you have to fight the table for room. I ordered the chicken nachos for the appetizer, and man this is one of my favorite dishes. The portion is amazing, I mean you can probably just order this and have this feed 3 or 4 people. They are not stingy with the protein, everything is well disbursed throughout the nachos making every bite just that much more enjoyable. The guacamole looks and tastes fresh and not just scooped out of a container. Price: Approx. $21.99 (Regular) Happy Hour Price: ~ $11.00 Calories: 2580 For my meal I ordered the Truffled Mushroom Pizza..umm what an explosion of taste buds. If you are a truffles lover, I recommend give this a try. I will say, it was a little overpowering-maybe sprinkled on the truffle sauce, the other flavors of the pizza would have just popped out as well, but overall happy I tried this. I had more than half to take home for leftovers. Still good, throw it in the air fryer or oven to reheat and it almost tastes better. $16.00 - $19.00 (varies by location) 50% off pizzas during designated Happy Hour times. Calories: 1,230 Lastly I got the Stacked Turkey Club. This is a great go to sandwich if you are starving - they stack this thing to the top, definitely satisfy your hunger. The bread is well toasted, the meat isn't dry or soggy. I hate nothing more than a sandwich that starts to get soggy. The crispiness of the bacon and lettuce works so tasty together, plus a side of friend fries. Get, it, you won't regret it. I eat a lot of wraps--honestly, that's probably why you're reading my reviews in the first place--and this wrap is absolutely top-tier. Great size, great portions, and it actually feels like a full meal. You're not going to be sitting there thinking, "I should've just gotten a burger." Get the wrap. Get the fries too. Both are excellent. Next, not the worst issue in the world, but these new menus need some work. They don't stay open on their own and just feel kind of cheap. Not a huge deal, but it's something that should probably be addressed. Finally, the nachos. If you know me, you know I love all kinds of food, but nachos are weirdly my favorite food. I've always loved Sidecar's nachos, but it honestly feels like they've gotten a little worse every time I've ordered them over the last four years. Originally, you could choose between wonton chips and tortilla chips. Now the menu says tortilla chips only, so I expected tortilla chips. Instead, they came out with wonton chips. Not the end of the world, but the bigger issue is that the cheese sticks way too much to the wonton chips. It feels like they're being baked too long. Every time you try to pull a nacho apart, everything breaks. This definitely needs to be fixed. Overall, though, the Crispy Caesar Wrap alone is worth coming back for, and Sidecar remains one of my favorite spots.
