Zon Zon is a beautiful Mediterranean restaurant in Addison with elevated dishes and exemplary service. On my visit, the food exceeded my expectations. While the food was incredible, the restaurant wasn't full. Not sure why, but I hope more people discover Zon Zon. My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Located in Addison, upon entering your eyes will be drawn to their beautiful bar. The walls are dark green and decorated with various gold features. The booths are very comfortable. The only thing that seemed a little off was I only noticed one other party when I was there which led to an emptiness feeling. 1/2 Star. Service - Since we were one of the few patrons, we were rewarded with exemplary service. The staff was very kind a patient, allowing us to dine at our own pace. And the manager even checked on us several times. The end result was that we received personal attention on our visit. 1 Star. Food - We started with the Crispy Cauliflower. This amazing dish begins with a turmeric yellow cauliflower head that had a hearty bite that sat in a bed of tangy tahini and parmesan. Mediterranean through and through my main dish was the Steak Shawarma Frites. The super tender steak was topped with Za'atar chimichurri. This easily transformed my steak bite into another Mediterranean adventure. The perfectly fried house fries soaked up these flavors and continued to remind me of my steak long after I had devoured it. 1 1/2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. In fact, I hope more people discover Zon Zon. While my dishes were delicious and the service was amazing, I couldn't help but to think there should be more patrons. Hopefully more Yelpers will discover Zon Zon just like I did. 1 Star.

This was a really great, new Mediterranean spot. When you first walk in the interior is beautiful, love all the dark green accent. We chose to sit in the outdoor area towards the back. The food was delicious. Each dish was seasoned well and tasted very fresh. Note the flavor profile is strong, not a light meal. We especially loved the cauliflower and steak frites, just so well done. Would definitely return!

The hummus with filet was delicious. The hummus itself could have used more lemon and salt. The ginger beer mocktail was the most flavorful, but the other mocktails were boring. The salmon had a wonderful crust on it and the roasted vegetables were cooked great. The half chicken was tender and juicy. The pomegranate jus was slightly sweet, yet still savory. The whipped potatoes were flavored well with lemon. The fries were nice and crispy as well. The waiter really knew a lot about the menu which was great. He also boxed up our food at the end which is always appreciated and wiped down the table before our dessert came. The ambiance inside is lovely.

Overall we had a great experience! We had the Beets & Burrata salad, Batata Harra, Lamb Kofta Kebab, Apricot Lamb Couscous, and the Zz's Baklava for dessert. Everything tasted great! I would definitely recommend.

I really, really enjoyed this meal. It's a new spot, and I'll admit Mediterranean isn't usually my go-to, but the location alone convinced me. It's right next to the Body Rock I go to, so it felt like the perfect excuse to try something new. Everything about the experience was genuinely impressive. The service was fantastic. David was our server, and the manager stopped by multiple times to check on us, which felt attentive without being overbearing. We ordered almost the entire menu, and they were incredibly accommodating. I asked if they could bring out the meat pie from the happy hour menu, and they happily checked with the kitchen and made it happen. That level of flexibility goes a long way. For a newly opened space, they were surprisingly polished. Tables were cleared quickly, service was organized, and everything ran smoothly. The space itself is beautiful too. Stylish decor, with both indoor and outdoor seating, and a really inviting atmosphere. It was a bit quiet when we went, maybe around ten people total, which honestly felt undeserved given how good everything was. As someone who doesn't usually gravitate toward this cuisine, I was pleasantly surprised across the board. Standouts included the rice and salads, both fresh and flavorful. The baba ganoush with bread was excellent, easily one of my favorites. The potatoes had a bit of a kick but were still delicious. There wasn't a single dish I regretted ordering. The food does lean heavier, especially with the bread and meat, but that's expected. I'd recommend going for both an appetizer and a main to really get the full experience. Overall, a great meal, great service, and a place that deserves a lot more attention. Hopefully this nudges a few more people to check it out.

I met a friend and Zon Zon for drinks and mezze. The best word to describe this place is flavor! Every bite of everting we tried had so much intense flavor. It's a foodie paradise! The cauliflower was cooked perfectly. The hummus was incredibly smooth. The potatoes were crunchy. The rosemary sunset spritz was good enough to try twice. I love the atmosphere and friendly service. It's an aesthetically pleasing restaurant full of good vibes.

Celebrated my birthday here with a friend of mine. This restaurant is truly beautiful inside and the vibe of the place is super cool. I love all the different portraits on the wall and decorations. The staff is also very kind and friendly. I ordered spicy drink and chicken kabob plate while visiting this place and we ordered an egg plant appetizer. The drinks and the food options were truly amazing. The only minor comment is that service was a bit slow and took a long time for our food to arrive however other than that the experience was amazing. They also surprised me with a delicious birthday dessert which was truly kind. I highly recommend this restaurant.

If I could give 6 stars I would, and I've got highhh standards. Tonight was my first time eating here and it absolutely blew me away. Ambiance is on point, service was top notch, and the food was outstanding. I can't wait to dine in again. Ask for Jared and Armon!

What took me to long to find this place? What a GEM of a restaurant. What stood out was the flavors of everything. Think your favorite margarita with a smoked pineapple. The lamb with pomegranate was amazing. My only regret was that we only had two people- we need to come back with more friends so we can share more dishes. Also to note- super cute patio, great, friendly service, and reasonable prices. 10/10 absolutely will be back!

    Classic hummus

The food was phenomenal and the atmosphere was lively and well designed. My only complaint is that our reservation time was 20 mins late. They are a new restaurant so it's expected. They were courteous about it and we had drinks at the bar while we waited. Would recommend a reservation because the place isn't huge. We will be trying it again.

What a special treat for our date night! The ambiance is perfectly staged with beautiful decor and such a welcoming vibe. The food was all beautifully presented and the flavors were balanced with each dish having an authentic flavor. The Crispy cauliflower was amazing but so was everything we tried! All the staff provided excellent service from the Hostess to the Managers, the restaurant went above and beyond and we can not wait to be back to try every dish!

We arrived early so the restaurant was not too busy but it started to fill by the time we left. The ambience remains upscale casual with a gracious greeting as you enter. We were given one of the half moon booths that faced outward to the restaurant. I ordered the hummus as a starter and it was very good. It's a mild hummus without a strong garlic element. It was very enjoyable. The wife started with babaganoush and loved it. The dip was smoky and very flavorful. For entrees, the kid had the Caesar salad and ate everything except the croutons. The wife had the spiced meatballs and loved them. The meat was tender and the sauce was very rich. I had the chicken kabob and I was in heaven. The kabob took quite a while to prepare, but it was worth the wait. The chicken was well marinated and very flavorful. Best of all, it had a smoky flavor from the char, but the chicken remained tender and moist. It was phenomenal. I wish I could have that every night. It came with sautéed vegetables that were prepared perfectly. And it included a white rice that had a rich buttery flavor. We all enjoyed our meal very much and we were happy to return to this restaurant. I need to put it in the rotation more often.

I visited this restaraunt for the first time and genuinely enjoyed everything I ordered. Starting off with appetizers, my friend and I ordered the pan shared halloumi cheese. This is paired with tomatoes and fig jam and is a wonderful accompaniment to the complimentary bread and olives served for the table. I'm a big fan of halloumi in general but this one was particularly cooked well and a must order for next time. For main entree I ordered Hunkar Begendi, which is sautéed marinated lamb tenderloin with red and green bell peppers over creamy eggplant puree. The lamb was in fact tender and perfectly seasoned and the eggplant puree went very well with the slight gaminess of the meat. I enjoyed this dish overall and it didn't feel too heavy, which sometimes is the case when I eat lamb. The pieces of meat were cut small enough while not being super tough, which I appreciated. I would definitely recommend this restaraunt if you enjoy trying Mediterranean fusion spots!

Fortunately, they had some space on the patio. It was a hot night however they had couple fans to blow away some heat. Food: Started with a salad which was fresh, flavorful and with large chunks of beets, watermelon, and feta cheese. Great appetizer. My wife and I wanted to try a couple of items to share for the main entree, I had branzino. The whole fish, filleted, and grilled. The flavor was rich, without being overly salty nor too oily. The sides 1. Grilled Branzino - Served with quinoa arugula salad 2. Ali Nazik- Chargrilled lamb shish over smoked eggplant puree served with bean salad on the side Both were fantastic. The lamb was cooked just right and turned out moist and tender. The eggplant puree was a great texture; neither too smooth to lose its integrity nor too chunky. The staff was attentive and helpful. Verdict: 9/10: Would definitely go back but with a reservation or in a mindset to sit in the heat on the patio. Also, the deboning process for the fish could've used a little more care, but that didn't take away from the flavor.

The good : flavors were delicious. Our server was attentive and the entire staff seemed happy to have us.The flat bread pide (at another table) looked sumptuous . Chicken shish kebab chunks were cooked well and seasoned nicely and were juicy. The complementary bread is superb. The yogurt dip that went with though was not enough for us to have more than a few bites. Needs improvement: there was no reason why the accompanying (delicious) bean and cucumber salad was 24 to 48 hours old with Limp cucumbers and parsley and flavorless tomatoes. Needs to be fresh daily and use cherry tomatoes or Campari tomatoes for flavor and crispness. Turkish Rice was meh. It was cooked properly but not a whole lot of flavor and perhaps I was expecting more of a Lebanese style pilaf with butter, nuts, spices, onions, etc. to brighten it up. Beyti minced beef had good flavor, but why did they have gristle in it? My dinner companion complains was that this was a cheap cut. The butcher supplier is not paying attention. It also could've used a little bit more sauce on the bread wrap pieces for added juiciness. We ordered the.Tzatziki yogurt dip which helped add juiciness . There was no reason why the Turkish red wine came out warm. I realize that we were in a Dallas summer at 95° at 9 PM and the restaurant was slightly warm but still. Lastly, the owners might think about mitigating the hard surfaces that reflect sound in the restaurant. It's a lively place, but we were subjected to the group of six women who were drinking enough to be loud and screechy across the room - all too common across the city -and I did not need to hear them yukking it up. The place was full on a Saturday night, which bodes well for this restaurant. The staff attitude is good, but I'm afraid this will not be a repeat for me and my companions. .
