I came here for dinner to celebrate getting a new job, and it was my first visit. The space is a bit small but cozy, and I loved the celebrity photos covering the walls and even the ceiling. We started with the spicy Philly egg rolls and calamari. Both were flavorful, and the sauces had a nice kick. I ordered the Cajun chicken pasta, which tasted good, but the pasta was overcooked. The same issue came up with my daughter's mac and cheese. With how saucy both dishes were, an al dente noodle would have been better, but it wasn't a dealbreaker. Service was good, and everyone else enjoyed their meals. The real highlight was the music bingo happening during our visit. We played, won a round, and walked away with a $25 gift card, so we'll definitely be back to try other items.

The ambiance is very chill, like a sophisticated sports bar with hip hop tunes. The breakfast was great, loved the Texas shaped waffles and their home style potatoes were crispy and flavorful. Caitlin is a GREAT server! She is super witty & has so much personality.

Love their cosmopolitans and $1 mini martinis! The customer service is always so friendly. I love their patio the most, so I recommend sitting outside if you can! I'll be back :))))

I had the blackened redfish scampi, it was very tasty. My husband loves wings so he had garlic parmesan and general Tso wings extra crispy of course. He said they were top three of the best wings he's had. We topped it off with the bread pudding. That was also tasty. Glad we came! Adrian was a great server.

Patiently waiting for 15 minutes until we had to approach a server myself.

Went to the patio with my dog as there is a gate and thought it common practice to walk though said gate as opposed through the indoor area. Was completely ignored by the server attending the patio who had only three tables outside ( one being right next to where i was sitting and visibly scrolling through the menu via my phone) When i approached him and asked how to participate politely in getting service when i have my dog with me, he straight lied and said "oh i didnt see you"...bullsh, i was sitting next to one of your tables you touched 3 times! High prices, trash service (sometimes, ive been there before and had good service, but 3/29 evening, clown shoes) so, there's that. Most likely wont be going back.

We walked in and were seated immediately. The ambiance was chill yet hip. They had some good music playing, football on the tvs and I really liked the variety of photos of music artists. Our waitress was really nice and helpful when they messed up my order. Cajun chicken 7/10: Two of the orders came out cold and had to be sent back and mine came out without the grits. But our waitress got all that taken care of. Flavor wise it was decent. The chicken was cooked well and the grits weren't stiff. Chicken and waffles 8/10: person enjoyed this dish overall. No real complaints. The portion was a decent size and the chicken had ok flavor.

This is a vibey brunch spot for sure! Most of their menu is drinks. They have pretty cool mimosa towers you can get too! The music is great and they even have a dj. Everyone working was very friendly. We ordered an app of wings and then the chicken and waffles, short rib hash and then mimosas with 1 bottle house Champagne and pineapple juice. The food took a long time and they got my order wrong. They brought me out the blackened chicken with cheesy grits instead if the short rib hash. I tried it and i found it to be underwhelming. The grits didnt have any flavor and the chicken was just ok. The wings we got extra crispy with asian sauce. They were light on sauce and it was like white people asian - maybe. Not great. I tried a bite of the chicken and waffles my friend ordered and it was ok, not great. My short rib hash that eventually came out was really really good. I had a weird interaction with our server. Normally when a place makes the wrong food or drink they ask you if you want to keep it since they have to toss it anyway. Our server was like no i have to take it. I didn't think it was great but i would have eaten it later instead of having it thrown out. Anyway, i just thought that was weird and kind of shady. I got a free birthday shot so that was fun.

Love this spot! We have been here a few times during HH and they have AWESOME specials. In fact, part of me wants to go today because of the weather (12/8/2023 at 75 DEGREES?!?!) Ambiance - 5/5 - I have never been inside haha. We take our pup and sit outside. There is a turf area for the kids, so we go out there afterwards. There are other places to eat in this area as well. Staff - 5/5 - Very friendly, courteous and timely. They make sure we are good to go. Food/Drink - What we ordered: Drinks - Smoke & Mirrors - $7 HH - 5/5 - Comes out in with a glass lid on top to preserve the smoke. Great presentation and even better flavor. Must get if you are a drinker. Food - Daily Flatbread - $7 - Hopefully you go on a meat day, but can't beat a $7 flatbread. Chicken Quesadillas - $7 - 5/5 - HUGE Portion. Must get. Garlic Knot Chicken Parm Sliders - $7 - 3/5 - For the kiddos. Usually dry each time. Pretzel Bites - $7 - 4/5 - Nothing special, but recommend if you are a pretzel lover. Meatball - $7 - 4/5 - Wished it was a little bit bigger, but I do recommend. Chicken Philly Egg Rolls - $7 - 4.5/5 - Philly Steak egg roll style. I recommend. Ahi Tuna Tacos - $8 - 5/5 - Highly Recommend. Fried Pickles - $4 - 5/5 - nothing special. But CHEAP. Haven't went yet, but on Thursday is AYCE wings. Will need to check that out one day. I will upload their menu and additional food pics next time I am here. Because I will be coming back for sure.

My wife ordered the veggie burger with paneer, and even as a meat-eater, I was impressed. The fries? Out of this world. Crispy, seasoned just right, and served hot. But the cheese curds... wow. Hands down the best I've ever had. They've got this spicy, crispy breading and a dipping sauce that takes them to another level. Seriously--Keith Lee would love this place. We ordered a Blue Moon, a frozen margarita with Tajín, and the appetizer platter--which included boneless wings with Boom Boom sauce, cheese bites, fries, and onion rings. We love downtown McKinney and so many establishments have that southern charm, friendly service, and just love people. We always bring in a group of paying patrons. Early on we felt there was a clickish vibe, but never thought anything about it. We make friends everywhere, since we are travelers . Last few months we noticed a shift, bartender ruder, lack of service, the regulars shifting their gaze as if something was wrong. Last night ended that for us, and I'm sure they will be thrilled. Our bonus son chose to come here for his celebratory event. We invited a variety of people we knew, local talents, professionals, and family. Hateful comments about having a few balloons and party hats and how "you BETTER clean all that UP, I'm not doing it." We were treated with disdain. No service, each person had to get our own menu when we were ready to order, , and silverware after food was served, no one took our drink orders, when we went to the bar-our tabs were closed after each drink order. The bartender, Chevon, (who is always there) was rude and ugly to our whole group and to those she didn't even know was in our group. The new DJ, (Shawn) skipped over our friend twice. Chevron (bartender) who didn't know the person she was speaking to was my sister, said "I hate that guy, all he sings is rock songs." I mean... it karaoke. And that guy she's talking about has been bringing a group of people here for over a year. So carry on the "high school drama" there are a ton of places in McKinney that are lovely and welcoming. When you are hateful to singers, doctors, nurses, business owners, and veterans... that news will travel fast. And as rude and ugly as this review is, it's not near as rude or ugly as we were treated, individually and as a group. If you are gonna be bias to people, you don't need to be serving them. It's sad, because I know Karen and what Spoons means to her and her family. I hope they clean house and start over in the back. FYI (Shawn was a really nice DJ, he was so kind to people celebrating others.) But other than that, I wouldn't recommend The Garage for any new Collin County resident, any bridal party, bachelor party, or group celebrating anything... you can DM me and I'll give you a personal list of plenty of places to go. Many of them walking distance.
