The food was really good, as was the service and the drinks. The peach old fashioned was far too sweet!

The atmosphere and service have a homey feel, which is perfectly fine by me. It feels comfortable, welcoming, and genuine. We are regulars here, and I'm not sure why I haven't written a review until now. We've been several times, and the food has been consistently delicious. The service is usually very good, and while the kitchen can sometimes be a little slow, the food is always presented well, especially for this price point. A couple of our favorite dishes are the Gabriel, with two chicken enchiladas, spinach, and sour cream sauce, and the Mario, which comes with three brisket tacos, Monterey Jack, and poblano peppers. For dessert, it is hard to beat the churros. The restaurant can be a little hard to find since it is tucked in the back corner of the lot behind Firestone, west of Kroger, but it is definitely worth looking for. If you enjoy good Tex-Mex from a local family-run spot, this place is absolutely worth trying.

And the chimichanga which was solid. Plates were not too huge- just right. Can't wait to come back.

They brought a large basket of perfectly crispy, warm chips with salsa and took my order. I got the #15 lunch special which is your choice of two enchiladas (I got sour cream chicken), rice and beans. The food was served quickly and at the perfect temperature. My enchiladas were bursting with chicken and the sour cream sauce was the perfect compliment. The rice was excellent as well. Even the iced tea is great, and featured a legit lemon slice. They have a full bar which I'll be trying on my next visit and two large TVs set where you can see one or both from any seat in the dining room. I told my server she's going to get sick of seeing me because I'll be here at least twice a week! Service was excellent by the way. My tea was even refilled without having to ask. It was a 10 star meal!

We entered and no one says anything, lady came in after us waiting, shoving us to see if there is a list for waiting... like girl were the only two people in line. We got sat and the workers are very friendly, no problem there. Chips were good and came out crisp. I ordered the two taco plate. Taco shell was very stale, was very sad. The ground beef wasn't that good, chicken taco was better (surprisingly). Rice and beans were decent. Overall, didn't hate it here, but also not that great. There was a lot of people here and a lot of people waiting to be seated as well.

When we walked in, the restaurant was very loud. The tile floors and packed dining room made the acoustics pretty intense, so conversation at the table took some effort. It also took about five minutes for our waitress to initially greet us and take our drink order. That said, once she came by, she was extremely polite and attentive for the rest of our visit, which we appreciated. We ordered the half-pound fajitas, and those were definitely the highlight. They came out quickly, were well-cooked, and were more than enough for two people to share. Portion size was generous. One thing we noticed was the limited soft drink selection, though they do offer a large variety of alcoholic beverages. Overall, it was a decent experience, but nothing really wowed us on this visit. We're glad we finally tried it after all these years, but we're not sure it'll become a regular spot for us.

My group was about 40 people so we sat in the banquet room and enjoyed their excellent lineup of Happy Hour specials. I had the nachos which were loaded with ground beef, beans, cheese, guacamole, jalapeños and sour cream for $6 and bottled Budweisers for $3 until 7pm. Others got the taquitos, the loaded queso and all looked tasty. There was plenty of complementary chips and salsa for everyone and food and drinks were served quickly and at the proper temperature. The banquet room is quite large and features a HUGE TV, I'm guessing a 100 inch! Perfect to host a Super Bowl, National Championship or any other kind of watching party. Apparently the VFW meets there every Wednesday night.

I had a customer down the street and one day took a chance and stopped in to the tiny few table cafe. Wow, home cooked " latin" that made your tasted buds sing and was a friend to the wallet. Gloria even waited on me. Jump forward and decades later, Gloria has deservedly built the American dream. Locations too numerous to count and a second generation of loyal patrons on the books. While I'm not as big a fan of her latest menu incarnation as I was the home cooking, years ago,it still does the trick... Go!

I got the Chimichanga and my girl got the quesadillas. All were a sold 8 out of 10. However the smiling waitress and quick to the draw service make it one of my favorites. I really like it, not just for the food but for the experience.

The food as a Mexican was amazing especially when you know different regions from Mexico and you know each regions have their flavors and staples. It has been a pleasure for my palate to enjoy those flavor again. We always like asking about the background and origins of the restaurants we visit and we always note and comparare details. The flavors just to reiterate.... Awesome! Atmosphere and service totally outstanding, today was our second time and the person even apologized for us not getting the same booth, we were like what??? You remember that and us? Well we are sold and we found the new place for us to invite friend and have family celebrations! Maybe I can not give a Michelin Star but for sure a "Miguelin" star! Thank you all! Jeziel, Isri, Eli, Charlie , Rolando, we do not know all the names yet but we will acknowledge every one properly and please know that little things come a long way and make a difference!!!! Addendum- for some reason my original post did not post when intended but now that I can, still going there and love it still!!! We have had family gatherings, great moments to celebrate and even when lows, we still found this place an amazing place to be. In all honesty, we feel like they are family, almost like the show Cheers... "sometimes you want to go where every body knows your name". It has been for us a great balance of consistency all around, service, the food, the drinks, even if prices went up (given the economy right now), we know it will be great! Even during these times they have never tried to cut corners or even increase prices!! We love you guys and will continue supporting our local businesses!!
