Wow! This place is amazing! The moment we walked in, Michael greeted us and said "Welcome Home", which made our visit so personable. This was our first time and we came specifically for Restaurant Week. Wine/cocktail menus are stored in a giant book, which they bring to every table upon being seated. Make sure to check out all of the gorgeous room decor with chandeliers everywhere, cloud painted ceilings and more! The back wall mural is interactive and the eyes will move to follow you! The food was amazing - Everything we tried, I would definitely come back and order again! Appetizers- Liked the shrimp more! ARANCINI BOMBA saffron rice stuffed with burrata ricotta + short rib ragu + fried golden SHRIMP OREGANATA jumbo prawns + oreganata breadcrumbs + char-grilled + hot honey agrodolce Entrees- Cannelonis, yummmm! SICILIAN SAUSAGE CANNELLONI ricotta + sicilian sausage + spinach mozzarella + bechamel FILET MIGNON PARMIGIANO medallions of filet herb breaded & char-grilled + san marzano tomato herb sauce fresh mozzarella + served with roasted potato & sauteed escarole Dessert- Spumoni every time! SPUMONI CAKE pistachio, vanilla & strawberry gelato chocolate sponge cake SICILIAN CANNOLI SIGARETTI mini sigaretti tuile + sweet ricotta cream + chocolate chips + powdered sugar We also added wine pairing with our meal for an extra $18, also delicious and would have them all again! WINE PAIRING Appetizer- EMMOLO SAUVIGNON BLANC Entree- ALLEGRIN/ VALPOLICELLA Dessert- LIMONCELLO Our server Carlos was amazing! Very personable and attentive.

Omg I love this place! The vibe was amazing and the food was even better. Had to get the vodka pasta which was even better than expected. Came here for dinner on my birthday and they even gave me this cute dessert. On the way out the waiter told my friend and I to come back and check out the happy hour. Definitely on my list of to-dos!

My boyfriend treated me here for Easter. It was both of our first time and we were absolutely blown away. We actually met on easter 9 years ago, its kind of our holiday and what better way to celebrate than to try a new place and eat lots of good food. What a stunning restaurant! Beautifully lit, colorful decor, and loved the live pianist. The buffet was delicious! My favorites were the pizza, meatballs, and short rib lasagna. The french toast also very tasty! My boyfriend loved all the seafood and the short rib. For dessert I really liked the Torrone and the lemon dessert thing. I dont know what its called but it was so good. I did get to see a glimpse of the chef and I thought it was really cool to see him interact with customers. This place really does make you feel like family. I would come back for sure. Perhaps the next time there is a buffet. So many fabulous choices.

Lots of dishes for the Easter buffet, pasta, seafood, lamb, filet mignon, dessert, salad, french toast

We absolutely loved the Easter buffet! There were many pasta dishes, salad, seafood, lamb, filet mignon, ham, quiche, pizza, french toast, and desserts included amaretti cookies, cannolis, pavlova, fruit, lemon cake, almond cookies with ricotta filling, and more! The extra cheesy lasagna with ricotta was my favorite, the french toast was also great, and the whole dessert bar was excellent. The Peach Bellini was very good. It was about $100 per person. Must be reserved ahead of time. Chef Joey was onsite welcoming and helping out. The ice sculpture and live pianist was a nice touch. My family and boyfriend loved it!

Beautiful restaurant with great foods and great vibes! I ordered the Italiano Mare and it was so flavorful and delicious. The pasta was al dente & the seafood was incredible. For dessert, I got the ferrero cake and it was rich and creamy and absolutely divine. I enjoyed listening to the live pianist and the space itself is super gorgeous. The service was very pleasant. The staff was attentive and patient. Really loved my experience here.

Linguine & Clams

My friend picked this spot to have her birthday dinner. It was easy to make a large party reservation. There was a bit of a wait when we arrived. They gave us some champagne though which was nice. It is in a plaza so there is plenty of parking. You can also do valet. Calamari fritti (3.5/5): The calamari was hot and fresh. It came with a san marzano tomato sauce. The portion was a bit small. Linguine & clams (5/5): This was yummy. It was light and the portion was good. The roasted garlic with calabrian chile paired well with the white wine sauce. The clams were good too. Definitely a nice dinner spot. Menu has a lot of options. The interior was strangely decorated though. They had giant screens in one portion of the restaurant. It was reminiscent of Las Vegas. They gave a little dessert for my friend's birthday too which was nice.

Another great meal at the Italiano. We started with the Chilled Seafood Tower followed by the Fried Zuchini Flower. The Zuchini Flower is definitely a must have....soft and velvety cheese inside perfectly fried Zuchini Flower. We decided to try the 2 specials and they were delicious. The Fish Picata was light and flavorful and was served with gnocchi. The Veal Bolognese was rich with meat that was fork tender. For dessert, we tried the Biscotti Tiramisu and the Dolce Ferrero. Both great but I would go for the Dolce that's so decadent! Our server Gary was super attentive and friendly. Matthew and Nicola were gracious and made sure we had a wonderful dining experience. As for the ambience, they have a live piano player but unfortunately drowned by the cheerful chattering.

Had a great time here for Mother's Day brunch. Awesome buffet. Our server, Carlos was always there for us. Nice ambiance and decor. We want to go back soon to try the regular menu. Highly recommend.

Short Rib Lasagna

The Italiano in Scottsdale had some highlights but it didn't quite live up to the rave reviews I'd heard. The decor is beautiful and very welcoming, setting a great first impression. The staff were friendly, but overall not very attentive. They were extremely busy, but the service was lacking throughout the meal. We started with the burrata & prosciutto and the prime beef carpaccio with artichoke. The beef carpaccio was actually delicious, but it was topped with a large amount of arugula that it felt more like a salad than carpaccio. The burrata and prosciutto was disappointing for me because of the olives and bell peppers. My friends did enjoy it though. The Caesar salad arrived next. It was heavy on the dressing but still tasty; but after the arugula-heavy carpaccio, it felt like I was eating a second salad. For entrées, we ordered the short rib lasagna, spicy rigatoni alla vodka with chicken, and capellini with shrimp. The short rib lasagna was the best dish. It was very flavorful. The rigatoni lacked flavor, and the chicken was very dry. The capellini was also quite dry, with noodles stuck together and difficult to separate. The shrimp were large, and the sauce itself was good, but there wasn't enough of it to coat the pasta and shrimp, making the dish very bland and dry. For dessert we ordered the Biscoff tiramisu, which was served in a very cute chocolate mug. The presentation was fun, and it was delicious. While the ambiance of the restaurant itself is lovely, the dining experience was diminished by some of the diners who were dressed VERY inappropriately.

It is too loud in there! To be honest, it felt like I was on a cruise ship. Some people refer to the decor as being Las Vegas like however I really felt like I was on the high seas. The back room that has the curtain between the main dining room and it is much quieter. There is a projected "mural" on the wall where the subjects in the mural eyes' open and close and their hair moves with the wind. It's slightly gaudy. The bread surface was delicious, warm, ciabatta, or Italian bread with olive oil and balsamic you can dispense yourself. The fried zucchini blossoms were quite tasty. A crispy tempura batter in the filling had mint and mozzarella, which gave it a little more flavor than just ricotta alone. The marinara sauce was a little thin and watery. The salads were the bomb those were very tasty. We had the Italiano salad with the roasted peppers. It was a very large salad, even shared by two people. We then shared the chicken and sausage scarpariello and the pasta with spicy njuda. The chicken breast pieces and sausage were very tasty. However, the sauté escarole was watery and flavorless. It was really bad. The pasta with spicy njuda was OK. It needed to be a little bit thinner in terms of the sauce and needed some more flavor although the crispy guanciale on top was a nice touch. Our friends ordered the chicken parmigiana and the lobster ravioli. Both of those were better than our dishes with the ravioli being the stand out dish of all. We really like The Sicilian Butcher, The Italian Daughter and Patricia's Pizza however, this experience and food didn't seem up to par for the Maggiore family at least not to me. Service was very friendly although one glass of wine ordered during dinner never came until the entrées have been finished. They comped that glass.

We loved this place so much, I highly recommend the linguine and clams, that was absolutely my favorite! Michael the general manager was really attentive and very kind, love the vibe, also the drinks. Really cool place for a date r just if you feel like authentic Italian dish.

Excellent Italian restaurant where Chef Joey and the servers (Mario) go above and beyond while serving up delicious authentic Italian dishes.

Spicy Rigatoni Alla Vodka
John S.

Went for Father's Day 2026 and sat inside the lounge to take advantage of their happy hour, which is one of the best deals around. You had me at $7 martinis and $8 vodka rigatoni. We also tried the Sunday sauce special which was a huge portion (thank you leftovers) and full of different meats. This dish was saucy, hearty and filling like you would expect a traditional Sunday sauce. The vodka rigatoni had a thicker sauce than I'm used to, and wasn't spicy at all, but still filling and a good deal. The Capriccoiosa pizza was perhaps the biggest letdown, as it had maybe too many ingredients and wasn't evenly cooked. Service was good, and while we didn't sit in the main dining area, the lounge was nicely decorated.

What is the menu going to be for Christmas 2025?

How long has this location been open?

September 2024

Is there anywhere I can find prices? The restaurant website menus don't give prices for any of the food for lunch or dinner.

You can find pictures of the menu on Yelp

Is there a children's menu?

They have a kid's Chicken Milanese Tenders & Fries. The Neopilitin pizza (small flatbread pizzas) would be perfect for a kid. The spaghetti with Nonna's Meatball (incredible) is large, and you could share some with your child. I have been there many…

I want to try their happy hour. Is this available when I do a reservation and if not, what's the lounge area if happy hour is only available there and not the whole Restaurant?

Hi. We went to happy hour bar or booths you can sit at. I didn't care for it very limited menu at happy hour. Their three course lunch is much better.

Can you split checks?

yes!

Is it expensive?

I feel it is a good value, not cheap but you get what you pay for.

Is there a feast of the seven fishes this year?

Yes!

There is a big banner outside about making Thanksgiving reservations. My question: is there a special menu? There is nothing on the website about it.

I haven’t seen that sign. I would call the restaurant and ask.

Do we need reservations for the bar Will you ever open for lunch? Been a customer of Tomas's since…

You should absolutely make reservations until the over hype dies down.

Do they have gluten free pasta options?

yes

My friends thought it could have been more "refreshing" (seems more wine heavy but was still delicious to me!) Bread and garlic butter - A must order. So tasty. We weren't ready! I think he was disappointed that we were not going to build a big bar tab. Only 2 of us ordered from the bar list. Now to the food. We've eaten at this place many many times over the years. And returned because the food and service were excellent. However this time, our food was far from what we expected, and the waiter seemed like he wished he were anywhere else but there! The appetizer ordered was so haphazardly put on the plate, and was also not tasty. My husband's salmon was thin and dry. I don't think this place has seen any updating since it opened. Currently, it feels dank and dirty with no signs of welcoming any changes. It's always sad to see the neglect of management/investors in not protecting their stock in trade- their reputation and respect for their customers.

If you're looking for good Italian food, this is a good contender. This place came highly…read morerecommended and has experienced a significant amount of attraction from social media posts. That is quite evident upon walking into a very small but crowded restaurant. I highly recommend having a reservation because even with one, you will probably have to wait for your table. Our server was Jeremy. He was super helpful in explaining the must have as this was our first time here. You can tell he was definitely honest and passionate. We started with the Crudo of the week, which I believe was Ahi tuna with pomegranate and some type of orange citrus... No real qualms, it was fresh, but kind of fell out a place for the restaurant. Upon Jeremy's recommendation, we got the lasagna and a spicy rigatoni. The lasagna is limited availability so keep that in mind if you're coming specifically for that. However, should the lasagna not be available, just order the spicy rigatoni, you will not be disappointed. The portion sizes here are quite generous, which is fitting for an Italian restaurant. My partner, and I could've easily shared one entrée. In fact, the lasagna is gargantuan. My jaw dropped when I saw it come to the table, it is that massive. Both of the entrées were delicious. It's homestyle comfort food through and through. The spice rigatoni is a very bright acid with the tomato sauce complemented by a slight heat from the Calabrian chili, and all brought together with perfect Al dente rigatoni and sweet, Italian sausage. The lasagna was meaty, rich, and heavy, but in a satisfying way. Definitely one of the better lasagnas I've had at a restaurant. As far as drinks go, I had two glasses of Sangiovese, which were pretty fairly priced, and my partner had two cocktails, which were a bit more on the expensive side. He liked them, but didn't love them. The smoked old-fashioned is kind of what they're known for in the drink department. We received a complementary tiramisu as we were celebrating an anniversary, and it was very charming. Definitely very rich and creamy, not so much espresso and very light on the lady fingers. All in all, we spent around 191 before tip, which is what we expected. You definitely get the impression it's a neighborhood spot, but not neighborhood prices..if that makes sense. You can dress it up or down, but the entrées were definitely on the expensive side for what the atmosphere sells itself as. That being said, I am eager to come back and explore the menu a bit more. Entrées were fabulous.

I did go on a first date here and maybe not as romantic as I would have liked -- much more of a family vibe -- or in the bar area was all about sports. It wasn't too loud so that was good since we were doing a lot of talking, LOL. It was a Saturday night and my date had made a reservation but it looked like we could have easily gotten a table without one. There is a parking lot but couldn't tell if it was easy parking because we took an Uber since we were drinkiing. I started with an espresso martini and I would give it a 4/10 -- I think the espresso used was low quality because it wasn't my favorite. My date got a whiskey old fashioned and he liked it. Service was pretty good -- it was a busy Saturday night. I wanted to order a glass of wine with my meal but the server was gone for some time so my date had to flag her down. I ordered the halibut with crab on top and the server recommended a white wine to pair -- I thought it was an usual suggestion but went with it -- she didn't even suggest which white - so I went with a Sav Blanc and it was actually quite good -- I didn't catch the name. We started with some shrimp cocktail and that was pretty good, sauce was tasty. The halibut was actually quite good and cooked to perfection - the crab on top was really good too -- it came on a bed of linguini which was too much -- I didn't really eat that. My date had the filet special with a lobster sauce -- it looked really rich and the portion was huge! He couldn't even eat it all. Overall I enjoyed my meal, I was quite full when we left, LOL! I didn't catch how much the total cost was but I think it had to have been at least $200 -- so definitely some dough will be dropped! But for a special occasion it is worth it.
