Our favs are the mezze whipped feta or the platter with a bunch of spreads. The charred octopus is another one of our favs with the feta greek fries. The lamb chops and t-bones are also very tasty, nicely seasoned and cooked medium well. They're very tender and not gamey at all. We had the oysters and beet & feta salad for the first time and both were super delish. The oysters were cooked and had a kick, very interesting and very good. This is a review of resturant week. All in all it was a decent resturant week menu. We did brunch and it came with a dip, a pita and a meat, and loukomades. Decent value for $25. All the food was lovely. The only thing is that the dips only came with vegetable to dip with which were holly insufficient. And then have the audacity to charge $7 for 2 pitas seems outrageous. Pita was good, don't get me wrong but I feel like if you have an item that needs another item... don't up charge me for a necessary item. We also tried the date halava shake which was super interesting and yummy. Overall a good time. I think prices are expensive for what you get. Dimly lit cute place. Staff is very polite and attentive. The manager Dave stopped by our table to see how our experience was and gave us recommendations on the menu! Food was amazing. We got the Mezze Collection- SO GOOD. And it came with some meat skewers too! The octopus was so flavorful. For dessert we got the crispy kataifi cheese pie which is a must and the vanilla soufra which was surprisingly delicious. Cocktails are also tasty. Came for a date night on a Wednesday and overall had a really enjoyable meal. The space is beautiful, service was nice, Greek wines were tasty, and the food was very good with a couple of greats. The cheese pie, pita, and octopus were excellent. Whipped feta and gyro also quite good. Only thing I would skip next time is the lemon potatoes as they lacked flavor and texture. Only real complaint was that we were seated in the greenhouse looking area next to a couple of large groups and it was nearly impossible to hear one another, like the space just amplified all of the noise. Came here for the first time on a Thursday night and luckily made reservations three weeks in advance. This place was totally packed upon arrival and was totally packed even when we were leaving. I chose to come here because the write ups in every article online has been all the rave about it especially considering that its founder and chef has quite a reputation in the Chicago restaurant scene. Therefore I had very high expectations. While I respect and recognize at the shop an owner is Greek the food while it is Greek is more progressive and modern in its menu items ingredients as well as presentation. It was great to see a wine list with numerous Greek wines to accompany the meal. It was great that it was nice weather and the entire place had the doors and windows open for fresh breezy air all night however it also welcomed in all the humidity. The tables are cute but the chairs on the patio area are highly uncomfortable. The food was OK small and portions and quite pricey. I definitely think I am more of a purist in the sense of Greek food and prefer the traditional Greek restaurants in the city and the suburbs. But this is definitely worth a try and all the people eating here definitely want to be seen. read more

We came for a Sunday brunch before flying out and it was absolutely fantastic! We started with the French press which was delicious. From there the spicy feta dip with their ridiculous fresh pita was perfect. For our mains we had the chicken and gyro sandwiches. Both meats were absolutely delicious, the salad and sauces were fantastic on the wrap - and they had very fresh and crispy french fries under the meat on the sandwich! I don't know what I was expecting about this place. I've had Greek food around Chicago. This was by far the best Greek food I've had outside of Greek Town! The place is absolutely beautiful. We were out on the greenhouse area. It was pretty good until it stared to pour. Water came in some places, but our table was food. We held out and were rewarded with some nice weather. I started with the soup which was thinner than I remember, but super tasty! I would get it again. We also got Mezze platter which came with the best pitas I've ever eaten. I'm not one for tzatziki sauce, but this one has great spice and heat. I went with the gyros. I saw pictures on Yelp and they do not do Justice. It was outstanding and a little more upscale than what you get at the corner burger place. Again with the tzatziki sauce! I wish it was a little warmer and a few more fries, but I loved it! I finished up with the Baklava frozen yogurt. What a fun concept! It was a little melty. The wines I had were excellent. Despite some of my grumblings above, the food was fantastic. My friend and I passed by this place once and finally got the chance to try it out. The ambiance is super cool inside and the place was packed on a Monday night. My friend arrived first and started us off with the fries and the cheese pie. Definitely yummy and a lot of flavor. Next up we went with the Santorini fava and pita. This was my fave dish of the night. The pita was so soft and full of flavor. The favas was delicious. For entre my friend choose the eggplant moussaka and I had the spicy lamb ribs. I think this was okay for both of us. Nothing to call home about. Finally for dessert we had the Loukamades. They were good but landed flat as a dessert. I felt like it was missing something. My son had the lamb and it was good but a very small portion for the price. And he disliked the Aleppo pepper yogurt sauce. The taramousala was salty and over priced and sadly bread or pita was charged separately. My husband had the chicken souvlaki and he also didn't like the Aleppo pepper and it was a small portion too. I had the shrimp with a spicy pepper sauce and feta. No rice came with it. Not sure who came up with this dish but it gave me bad heartburn. I'm dreaming about the hummus spreads from Andros Taverna! I came to Chicago to visit my sister who recommended this joint. Everything was beautifully presented and the food was phenomenal. Brunch was not busy but that was a-okay with me and my party bc we got a great seat by the windows on a nice Chicago day. Baked Feta and Eggs was delicious! I wasn't sure what to think of this when we ordered it, but the feta and egg complemented each other very well. Grilled Octopus was so good! It was a beautiful Saturday evening with the sun still out, so patio dining was perfect here! My glass of rose was refreshing with the appetizers - we ordered the eggplant spread but had to order pita separately. The pita was warm and delicious though. For starters, I made the waitress laugh with my pronunciation of "tzatziki" (and Management, if you're reading this, know what I was being intentionally silly when I said "tzatziki," and my waitress picked up on that, so don't worry, she kept things very professional) Later I pried into my friend's personal life (afraid he's being abusive). We were seated promptly for our reservation and loved sitting outside on a nice summer morning. Service was kind and checked in often. The cocktails and wine were all great, but the highlight for me was the cheesy egg pita with spicy whipped feta. The pita was stuffed with eggs, meat, and tomato, and came with a side of well seasoned fries. My husband was eyeing my plate form across the table just waiting for me to get full (I did). I sure do love this place. This is a review of my second visit-- which truthfully wasn't a 5 star experience but they were so jam packed I can't bear to ding them for service when they were doing their very best i'm sure. My first visit here was not long after they originally opened last spring. It was for a girls brunch and I have never stopped talking about it since. I knew I had to get back here for some of their phenomenal fresh pita (PS every brunch item is truly stellar and I would choose this place for brunch over dinner ANY day. Even the coffee drinks and pastries were something to write home about). We had the village bread to start, which was shockingly good given my high opinion of the pita bread. Their bread game is on POINT here. Bread game STRONG. Get yourself some bread and be happy! We also had the octopus as a starter, which had some delicious saucy action leftover to dip said bread in. I could've left happy at this point! For mains I had the chicken souvlaki which was really thoughtfully executed. Very tasty and, most importantly, made with one of their fresh pitas. Partner had the spicy lamb makaronia, which was like a deconstructed pastitsio sans bechamel. I thought it was tasty! I added on the peas as a side to try something new and I thought they were a great dish. Really warm and hearty-- would be a great, cozy fall/winter dish. The not-so great (and why I refuse to give less than 5 stars): We didn't have the best service, we got a crappy table despite having a reservation made far in advance, they were out of the first three (3) things we attempted to order, so we eventually had to politely ask what they do have. I've been here before and know what they are capable of, and I wont be dinging anyone for being slammed as a result of their amazing success as a restaurant. Reservation definitely encouraged. We walked in with no wait and were able to sit outside on a nice summer evening. Everyone was very nice and explained the menu and all the specials. We ordered the mezze platter and I got the Mediterranean octopus and my boyfriend got the gyro. The food was insane-I haven't had great Greek food in so long and this was everything I wanted. The mezze was incredible, every dip was so rich and delicious and the pita was so fresh. I tasted my boyfriends gyro and it was just a step above gyros I've had-the seasoning was so tasty and I will definitely order it the next time I go in. My octopus was superb...I am a huge octopus fan and it blew me away. It's hard to find good octopus in Chicago, and it was so tender and wonderfully grilled. It was served in lemon and olive oil and I will never get it out of my mind. It was the best octopus I've had in so long and I can't wait to have it again. Went here for a friends birthday brunch/lunch and had a reservation for 8 people. Staff was incredibly friendly and attentive from the minute we sat down. There were a mixture of dishes for the table, all ending up being more than enough food. Highlights were definitely the Andros Classic (3 spreads with pita), any of the Athenian meats and the Greek fries. Our table had a variety of cocktails, with the favorite being the Midas touch (tequila) or one of the spritz drinks. Docking one star here for the Bloody Mary - my favorite brunch cocktail - that's house blend tasted more like house table salsa than anything else. This restaurant is ideal solo, on a date or with a small group of people. Brunch Items Baked Feta and Eggs (10/10) The tomato sauce was well seasoned and the whole dish was well put together. I highly recommend trying this if you come for brunch. Almond Freddo (10/10) This is a tasty and creamy coffee drink. Really good! While I enjoyed the open air dining, the late afternoon sun hit out table in a way where my friend and I had to squint for almost half of our meal. Tried two of their spritz cocktails, the anitho and st. roz. Both were super refreshing. The anitho had more of an earthy/herbal flavor and was less sweet. For food, we started with the mezze collection, which came with 3 spreads: tzatziki, spicy whipped feta, and taramasalata - served with crudités, char grilled kalamaki, and pita bread. Great item to order with a group of friends. We also ordered the charred eggplant spread. My favorite was definitely the taramasalata (fish roe). Had the chicken souvlaki for my entree, the meat was well-seasoned and tender. However, the pita to protein ratio was off. Don't get me wrong, the pita is delicious but proportionally way too large for the contents. Overall, the cocktails and the quality of food was great but the service was a bit lacking. To start, food was amazing as always. My favorite dish remains the Sparta Octopus. It is always cooked to perfection with the freshest ingredients. Our table also got the Mezze collection and the eggplant moussaka. Both were delicious, but special shout out to the eggplant moussaka. Eggplant is not my favorite, but this was really well made. Minus points for the poor service that night. I was extremely disappointed with the attention and lack of care my table received. Multiple times we had to flag down other wait staff to ask for help. I ordered a Diet Coke and got a regular coke instead and had to call someone over after waiting 15 minutes. The initial appetizers came out at a reasonable pace, but after we waited almost 1.5 hours to receive our entrees. By the time the entrees finally came out we were all starving and just wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible. I think the waiter could sense our dissatisfaction because, independently, he had comped one of our appetizers. This was very thoughtful and generous of him to do. However, the lack of communication/explanation was frustrating and left us in the dark. Overall, food amazing, but the service really ruined my positive opinion of Andros. Loved this beautiful restaurant! The atmosphere is fresh, airy and peaceful but fun. There are plants hanging from the ceiling and the high ceiling is very pleasant. The food came out relatively quickly and the quality of the food is very high. The avocado toast was perfect, lots of flavor and a hint of lemon. The key was the bread! Thick and fluffy with a nice crust. The Olympia was a great dish and something I have not had in a restaurant before. The gyro meat was perfectly cooked and melted in your mouth. The Andros salad was great - did not expect a salad to be that good and munchable! Baklava froyo had good honey but was almost too sweet. The choc halva mousse cuts the sweetness of the froyo well. That being said, the pacing of service was pretty bad. Our drinks didn't arrive until we were close to done with apps. The gap between apps and mains took forever, and the mains arrived in two batches with all the proteins coming first then the sides almost coming as an afterthought more than 10 mins after. Dessert also took pretty long. On top of that, the server took our plates after apps and didn't replace them and we had to stare at the mains being served without having any plates. read more

It's a casual, but formal affair, if that makes sense. The space itself is pretty grand and you can tell a great amount of attention went into its detail. While the restaurant would not be one I'd opt for visiting (out of my price range and in the heart of Logan which isn't my cup of tea but perfect for my friend who's the king of showing off--love him to death), it was certainly worth the visit. This restaurant hit every nail on the head when it comes to an experience, a word that has lost its luster in today's greedy, corners-cut, post-covid climate. Our server made recommendations and got to know us, our runner delicately deboned our fish before our very eyes, a manager poked by, since we ordered wine a wine specialist ran down an extensive list of wines and their backstories. Just perfect. We also went for lamb chops, a beet salad and dessert specially adorned with a candle.
