Jesse Schwenker was super helpful! I had a clogged kitchen sink and he did everything he could to unclog it starting with the snake. Although the snake worked, the camera through the pipe showed that there was too much build up and it really needed the hydro jet. He called for help from 2 other guys (Danny Fernandez) who took their time (1.5 hours) to clear out all of the grease. I would definitely recommend and use them again! read more

They were no shows so I had to call and leave a message with an operator wondering where they were. They called back 45 minutes after they promised to be at my house to tell me they were not coming. The water issues on the coast are well known. Andrus has come within hours to repair pinhole leaks and always done a thorough, efficient and cost effective job. We also had them replace twin ejection pumps, no small job, and it was done with timeliness and care. Andrus plumbing & heating went way above and beyond to resolve issues w my Rheem water heater. Julie and Dallas were extremely responsive, on time, reliable and following all safety protocols during Covid-19. I reached out to them after Rheem had sent a different plumbing company and I won't go into specifics but called the manufacturer and requested I use my plumber. Julie even had to call Rheem and wait 20 minutes on hold to get through to them so they would ship parts to me and when they said the parts would arrive in 2-4 days she said no we'll pay to have them overnighted. TOO EXPENSIVE!!! $375/hour!!! I'm kicking myself for not looking for a more reasonably priced service. I paid $250 for 40 minutes of snaking to remove a clog in my kitchen sink. (That's a rate of $375/hour!) My technician claimed plumbers, like doctors and lawyers, need a lot of training, and that's what I'm paying for. I will not be using this service ever again. read more

Kate is right. They refused to give mean estimate to unclog my sink over the phone. When they showed up they wanted $250 (are they out of their minds?). I then found OC Rooter on Craigslist who's ad clearly stated their $75 charge. They were here within an hour and quickly and professionally solved the problem. Here in Laguna Beach we have our share of small streets. If an out-of-town plumber parked their truck so as to make the rest of the street impassable, we might be able to forgive it. If a big ANDRUS truck is blocking the street, it just does not seem right since they are from here. My neighbor had a big argument with the Andrus plumber just to get him to move his truck so he could get by. I heard that, and called their office. The receptionist was extremely rude, completely took the side of the driver, and hung up on me. Laguna is just too small of a town for this kind of thing to happen. I am sure everyone there is nice when you are giving them your credit card and they are working for you. If you are too busy to care about not blocking streets here then your are just too busy for the rest of this town. read more

Julie the office manager was great to work with through my entire process. She was accessible through their regular office number after hours and she quickly arraigned for a plumber to be at our house within 35 minutes. Lance showed up on time to my Temple Hills Drive home and was the most knowledgeable and professional plumber I have ever dealt with. He gave me a quote for the work before he started the investigation as what exactly was creating the flood.. When he found the problem he gave me the updated estimate. I needed emergency installation of a new water heater.They quoted $2150.00 and installed a Rheem water heater promptly in about three hours.I got curious and I checked the price of this water heater and it ranged between 600-700 dollars.That works out to about $1400.00 for installation! I received a terrible service from this company. I called to get a shower leak fixed. It took the plumber about 15 minutes to fix it, and he charged us $250. My wife was at home when the plumber came and she paid the bill, so I don't know if it is because she is a woman that he felt like he could rip her off. I called to complain about the overcharging and they told me their service fee was $250. That's their base price, so it can't be any cheaper than $250. I had a plumber fix a leak before and it cost me about $50. I think what Andrus plumbing did to us is unacceptable and unethical.
