They had a look at my water heater and determined it needed to be replaced. We had been wanting to get a new tankless water heater for quite some time but my husband wanted to wait until we were in need of replacing our current hot water heater tank. Steve gave us a quote for replacing our current 75 gallon water heater with a tankless Navien model that would go in our garage in the same place as our old water heater. The price was fair and we agreed to go with the work. Later that morning Efficient Plumbing ordered our tankless water heater, delivered it, removed our old water heater and installed the new tankless water heater for us. They did an amazing job with all the necessary modifications to make the conversion from tank to tankless and we were thrilled with the end result. We now have endless hot water that we once never had. Efficient Plumbing has once again came to our rescue when we have been in need of a plumber! They are the best plumbers and I will continue working with them on any future projects or improvements that we may need.

Evelin answered the phone and walked me through on how to shut the water off to the house immediately to stop the water damage. Hector came out within the hour and got to work diagnosing our issue. He is knowledgeable and very experienced and we always feel like we are in good hands. Our ceiling was opened and it turned out to be a copper pin hole leak on the water line in the ceiling above the dining room that feeds our master bathroom. Hector skillfully repaired the water leak and also advised us to consider a whole house repipe since this was not our first leak. They gave us their estimate the same day for the whole house repipe and even offered to credit the repairs made with Hector towards the repipe which was a big help. We decided to move forward and had them repipe our whole house the following week. They got it done in one day and everything went great! A few days later the drywall was patched up and we were all done! Truly an Honest Review -…read more First off, The Water Heater Company fixed the issue with the pilot light on our Rheem Professional water heater, which had been going out after hours or days of use. This had happened in the past when we first purchased the unit about four years ago. At that time, I replaced the burner assembly and control valve, and the problem was solved. I never found out the exact cause, but it was fixed. Fast forward to today, and the same issue started happening again. Unfortunately, I was away on business, and my wife was home with the kids, getting tired of relighting the pilot every morning and sometimes multiple times during the day. We called The Water Heater Company, and their service and communication were excellent. After diagnosing the issue, they contacted Rheem and ordered replacement parts under warranty: the burner assembly and control valve. They gave us three options: replace the two parts under warranty, replace the entire water heater, or install a tankless water heater. Because this is a very expensive unit that otherwise works well, we chose to repair it. Here's my honest opinion. As a fellow tradesman, I understand that skilled work is expensive. Still, the labor charge of $800 felt very high for what was essentially a warranty part replacement. The first visit took about an hour, and the second visit took around 50 minutes. I understand there's drive time, phone calls, office staff, insurance, tools, and scheduling overhead, but it still seemed excessive. Maybe I'm looking at it through the eyes of someone who usually handles these kinds of repairs myself, but I was away for an extended period and needed the problem resolved. So I'm torn on the rating. Quality of work: 10/10. Professionalism: 10/10. Price: 4/10. In the end, though, I paid for peace of mind and have the issue fixed correctly than save a little money and end up with a possible poor repair.

Our gas was turned off because of a leak. This was a good thing safety wise, no doubt. But no hot water, no stove, and no clothes dryer. We came home jet lagged and with piles of laundry to discover this. We called Dave. He cleared the decks on his calendar (thank you to his other clients for their understanding) and undertook the major effort of digging up and replacing the line from the meter to the house. Among other things, such as tree roots, this involved getting under a cement slab. Dave and Bernardo and another worker managed this in two days in hot weather and at a very fair price. When a man from the gas company came to restore service he was very impressed with their work. We would never call anyone else.

Speedy Water Heaters live up to their name…read more My Rheem water heater stopped working and was flashing a red error light, so I called Speedy Water Heaters. I spoke with Hector, who was able to schedule Michael to come out the very same day. Michael quickly diagnosed the issue and was able to get the unit running again temporarily. He explained that the likely cause was a problem with the sensor line or combustion chamber, and that Rheem currently had parts on backorder. What I appreciated most was that he didn't try to pressure me into buying a new system. He took the time to explain my options and let me make the decision. Since I needed reliable hot water right away, I decided to replace the unit. Michael thoroughly explained the differences between a traditional tank water heater and a tankless system, including the pros, cons, pricing, and long-term benefits. I ended up choosing a Noritz tankless water heater. With the $1,500 SoCalGas rebate, the price difference was only about $700 more than replacing it with another tank unit. The Noritz also came with a 25-year heat exchanger warranty, 5-year parts warranty, and 1-year labor warranty. What impressed me was that he had the tankless unit and all necessary parts stocked in his work van. He got started immediately and completed the entire installation in about four hours. I watched him work nonstop, going back and forth, including multiple trips to the roof. He even repaired a slow plumbing leak that I had been putting off for quite some time. I promptly went to yelp and and began text dialogue and in less than 1 hour he was here. Very quickly began troubleshooting to isolate source of leak and after less than 15 minutes of running back and forth from the street to the back of the house confirmed the problem could not be a sprinkler line. In fact it was a broken connection on a hose feed. Not all heroes wear capes! I am recently widowed after 43 years and with plumbing/sprinklers I was at a total loss of where to even begin. We are located in Southern California and called McKeown Plumbing because our kitchen sink was…read morebacked up. Unfortunately, they could not come for a couple of days so we called. Dial One Sonshine. They came out and attempted to snake the drain which did not work. They said the drain was so compacted that they could not try Hydro jetting. They gave us two options - one was to tear apart our house on the inside to find where the pipe was clogged; or the second option was to tear apart the outside wall and hardscape on the outside of the house and run a new line to the main sewer line. The first option was just over $15,000 and the second option was over $22,000. We decided we needed a second opinion and scheduled McKeown to come out and they did the next day. They had two technicians who worked their butts off, used the Hydro jetting, and solved the problem that day. It was somewhat expensive, but only $2500 which was a huge improvement over the options we were provided by Dial One. Needless to say, we are big fans of McKeown!

I called around and was quoted a maximum price of $2,500 by 2 other plumbers and they came out to fix it next day for almost 1/3 the cost. It is their business and if that is how they want to do business that is their choice but most people work hard for their money and are willing to pay for a service but it just felt like a robbery. If you are okay with overpaying for a service they are probably okay.
