We bought a 2015 Ford Focus in 2024. It said TOTAL LOSS VEHICLE on the CarFax report. The Sales Manager came over and assured us that it was a mistake, and he would get it fixed. It doesn't run right, and we wanted to trade it in. We can't because the dealership that we went to won't take it. It really is a TOTAL LOSS VEHICLE, and the Sales Manager lied to us. I went here to get my check engine light checked out on my 2019 Chevy Silverado, and they wanted me to pay 700 dollars to replace my evap purge pump. I thought this should be covered with the emissions warranty but they told me it wasn't. I didn't change the evap purge pump because I wanted to talk to the customer service at Chevy so they charge me 113$ for the diagnostic and that was it. I went to a different Chevrolet and they diagnosed it and changed my pump for free because it WAS covered within the emissions warrant. I will never go to this Chevy again, they wanted to rip me off for 700 dollars because they could! read more

We paid cash for a used suv there with the intention of it being an extra vehicle for us to drive while a vehicle was in the shop then pass to our son. We understand that we bought it "as is" but certainly expected it to last longer than 10 days. After about 10 days the transmission put it out of commission and there was a paste like material clogging up the transmission. I would have expected better than a vehicle that only lasted for 10 days. Now we are out several thousand dollars because it will take more money to fix it than it is worth. This was certainly not what we expected and are sorely disappointed that this was our experience with what we thought was a good and reputable place. read more

ANDY MOHR CHEVY IS TRYING TO CON PEOPLE TO SELL CARS! I feel that we got dupped by Andy Mohr Chevy's sales tactics. We have bought many cars from Andy Mohr Chevy in years past and it was a good process that we had went through. In the last several years though, sales and customer service has went down hill. We were very interested in purchasing a used car this week from Andy Mohr Chevy. In fact, I came and test drove it on Saturday May 18th and was interested from the get. I was told by their salesman that it was just traded in and that it hadn't been through inspection as of yet. Inspection was possibly Monday, but if we did numbers then if would get pushed to the top of the list of inspections. I wasn't doing any numbers without it going through inspection first. Salesman told me that he would give me a call Monday and let me know if/when it would go through inspection. Monday came and gone with no call. We went and looked at the car, with the same salesman, on Tuesday evening at 730pm. Keep in mind they close at 8pm. When we arrived the salesman had to go get the car from the 'other' lot (not the main lot where it was at on Saturday). When he returned with the car it was in the same condition (not washed, detailed nor inspected). When we were done looking this car over, the salesman went in to grab keys to another car that we were interested in as well. Before he went in, I asked him if we were the only ones interested in the car and he stated that we were the only people that have come looked at it and inquired about it at all. He comes back out and says he got some bad information about this car from his general manager. There was now someone interested, that was coming from 2 hours away, that had a check to purchase the vehicle. But he said the general manager said we had first dibs. I again stated, I wouldn't talk numbers until the vehicle was inspected but we were very interested. He came back out and stated that if we put $2500 on a credit card we could return with the rest after inspected and pay the rest. I gave him a number that I would pay for a vehicle and what I would put down to hold the vehicle. They weren't interested in that and just said oh well. I checked their available inventory and as of now 1:01pm on 5/22, that same vehicle is still available to purchase. When I called today to inquire about the vehicle as a new customer, first it was available but after I explained what had happened on Tuesday, the story changed to the person who had supposedly came down with a check got there at 7:59pm and the car was marked sold at 9:17pm. So, you're telling me - someone who had a check in hand to purchase said vehicle and was on their way to give check to Andy Mohr Chevy, they didn't have the car already on their main lot to show this customer? They didn't have it washed or detailed and just show dirty cars? The car is still available to purchase on their website and when you call? Their story changed AFTER I called to inquire about the car again? Funny how we were the only ones interested right before closing time and then suddenly someone has a check? These fools are trying whatever they have to do to get you to put money on credit cards, give them money in hand, and possibly sell you a bad product. This will be the last time we look at any Andy Mohr dealerships and I will make sure to pass the word to anyone I know looking for a new or used car. There was ZERO social distancing going on. There was a yellow line to stay behind, but the agent didn't follow that and came right up to my and took my keys. No masks, people freely eating and drinking and NO 6 foot distancing. When I asked about what they are doing to keep safe, the agent acted like I was crazy for asking the question. I have a friend who is a single, disabled mom. She bought a 2012 Chevrolet Captiva Sport LS from Andy Mohr Chevrolet about 4 months ago for $9600 cash. It had 67,000 miles on it. It has a 2.4L LEA Ecotec engine in it. And this is where SHTF, She put 14,000 miles on it in 4 months. She did the oil changes on it twice and the oil life was at 25%. So it was due for another one. When I got back from a camping trip, I was told that it was running rough. Fast forward 2 weeks, where she called me and told me that it was stalling. So I had her come over to take a look at it. I took off the valve cover, to find that the upper timing chain guide was missing the plastic and the metal was sheared. Now this engine has a recall on it because, if you change the oil when the computer says so, it starts having these issues. But because this car was meant to be sold in Canada only, there was was no recall notice in the US or anything. I diagnosed it as the timing chain and guides. She bought the parts, and I spent the next two weeks working on it. When I got the timing just right, I put everything back together to give it a start. When I started the car, to find that it still was not running right. So she had it towed to the mechanic, and he told her that 99% of the time that this car has timing chain issues, it has a bent valve. And that the engine needs to be replaced. After this she called Andy Mohr Chevrolet, and was told that it was her fault because she didn't change the oil every 3,000. And it's obvious that they knew about this issue. She left a negative review on their Facebook page, asking for Andy Mohr's contact info. She was called later by a sales manager asking why she wanted the contact info. She explained the situation to him, to which he said " that was wrong, and Andy would want it fixed". He told her to come in the morning to look at a car to swap for her car. We thought that he meant exchange with a car of the same value of her car before the issues. We went next morning at 11:00 like he said, and was told by the lady at the front desk that he would not be in till noon. A sales person was sent out with us to find a car of equal value. We found a very nice Toyota Camry. She test drove it, examined the car, and found it to be quite nice. When we started talking to the sales manager, he said "No, I meant the trade in value of the car in this condition." Which knowing dealers is very little. Finally she asked if they could replace the engine. To which they said no. The sales manager said to call the GM corporate office and complain to them. We walked out of the dealer very sad and angry that Andy Mohr Chevrolet cannot keep their word. The bottom line is stay away from Andy Mohr Chevrolet. And don't buy a car from them unless you know what your getting yourself into. read more

First off my salesman and finance guy were great. My problem is with the management. I purchased a 2018 Chevy Traverse that had been leased prior. I will admit that when test driving the car I didn't pay any attention to the mileage on the vehicle. I was told that it had 9,180 miles and that is what was on the paperwork. However when I went to drive it off the lot that day I noticed that it had just over 10,300 miles on it. I didn't really care or think it was a big deal at the time, until it started to act up and I had it towed to Andy Mohr Chevy in Speedway. They found an error code but stated that it ran fine for them. On the paperwork that they handed me for the service it claims that the manufacturer's warranty only covers issues up to 12,000 mile. I've driven it to 11,100 when it began to act up. So Andy Mohr Chevy in Plainfield added 1,200 more miles to the vehicle than they claim it had when I purchased it. Leaving me to wonder if they were trying to leave as little room possible for the manufacturer to have to cover repairs. 3 stars bc my the salesman and finance guy were terrific but the dealership seems shady. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I had chatted online with someone and told them the vehicle I was interested in and made an appointment to go in that night to look at the vehicle. When I drove 45 minutes there, the sales manager had driven the car home!! So I sat there for 3 hours going over numbers with the sales lady. We got to drive a vehicle home that was comparable, and went back the next night. The next night we do see the car, but it has the oil change light on, scratches on the inside of the back door, a water bottle rolling around in the floor, and coffee spilt down the passenger seat. We are sitting at the table with the sales lady and she is texting her kids (which are 18 and 21). The "new" car we wanted had 5,000 miles on it because the sales manager had been driving, and they WOULD not come down on the price, but $1,000. We ended up going elsewhere for a 2021, same vehicle, for $2,000 less than what Andy Mohr had a 2020 listed for. Then the finance manager has the nerve to ask if they got that vehicle for us, if we would purchase it there. Not a chance! Never again will I ever go to Andy Mohr. We spent 8 hours there in 2 nights and walked away with nothing. read more

Story Time - So I had my car towed there last Saturday, Rick called me Monday and told me how it worked. I explained I'm under warranty, he asked "who told you that" I said I'm under my manufacturers warranty until 80,000 and I'm at 77 and some change.He looked it up (why he didn't do this in the beginning is beyond me) and sees I am. He said the engine portion would be covered but not the flywheel/timing chain. I said that's fine. He called me later on in the day and said it is not covered because there is sludge in my engine due to low or no maintenance. This will run me about 8,000 (I'm rounding). My father does all oil changes and tune ups, he has replaced many parts of my car as well so I have had it taken care of. So I had my father called and spoke with him, he wasn't budging. Saying I wasn't taking care of my car and the sludge proves this.Finally had an opportunity to go up there and see for ourselves, we spoke with Gregg who then got us to the assistant manager. We couldn't talk to Rick because he was off today .. conveniently. So my dad and the assistant manager both went to look at my SUV, my father looked at everything and he asked him "where's the sludge" assistant manager responds "I don't see it". So basically Rick lied on my car!!! I knew he was lying, my father knew and now the assistant manager knows!! We will be back up there soon to have a conversation with Rick The Liar because this is ridiculous! Your job is to have integrity and do honest work but you have lied on me! And Chevrolet is okay with this!!! The assistant manager said he can't do anything without Rick, so we have to wait for the liar to tell us what he is going to do even though he is lying on my car!!!! How can we trust a liar? Last Thursday 11/30/2018 We located a 2011 Toyota Sienna Van. We contacted Andy Mohr Chevrolet via email, and was contacted immediately that evening by Danie. It was still available. We contacted her the next day, and told her that we were on our way, and it was a 45 min. to 1 hour drive. (Greenfield to Plainfield) She said, no problem, van is still here. When we arrived, and ask for Danie, she greeted us, and imminently turn us over to another salesperson. We sat down, and he asked us a few questions. He then stated, that he would go located van, and bring it to us. After about 15 mins. He returned and stated that the van was just sold to another customer, 10 mins. ago. My wife and I said, we called Danie, and told her that we were on our way. He then started to sell us something else. We left and went to one of your competitors (Honda) and found another Toyota Sienna Van. I'm retired from a major company. My company and myself are, and was very successful. Andy Mohr might invest some monies, and training in customer service. It would of been nice, to receive a phone call, while we were traveling a long distance. And even if they did sell the van 10 mins. prior. We probably would of seen it, when we drove around, before and after arriving at the store. Waste of time! I found a used vehicle for my son online. I speak to the internet Coordinator for 2 days about a car. We set up and appointment time to meet. I was planning on showing up and jump right into the car to take it for a spin. I not only waited there for 20 mins for them to look for the car but I had to also find out that the car was no longer there, it went to auction. I guess the good thing is that I was planning on trading in my 2015 Canyon soon. I at least found out where I'm not going. Typical used car buying experience? After a family member purchased a vehicle from Andy Mohr Buick, I thought I was in for as easy of a time as they had. I was wrong. I found the vehicle I wanted on Cars.com and went to look/buy at Andy Mohr Chevrolet in Plainfield... which is over 30 minutes away from my house. The salesman Walter Minion was very nice and personable and seemed to do a good job. Mr. Minion knew the "ins and outs" of being a car salesman. He worked with me and seemed genuinely interacted in me purchasing the truck. The truck was nice but had 2 issues. There was a chip in the windshield and all 4 tires were in need of replacement. After going round and round about the tires, it was obvious it was a dead issue as they were not goi g to replace them or even adjust the selling price to reflect a decent outpour of money that would be needed right after making the large purchase of a vehicle. I caved in and decided I would still buy. The window chip is still an ongoing issue. I keep getting g told the people who come in to fix their windows show up every Monday and Wednesday, but Mr. Minion would let me know better later. After calling numerous times he assured me they would be there today and to call him to schedule a time to come in. I called and got the run around about he had to talk to his manager to see what time exactly they would be in, only to be called back over an hour later saying they weren't there today but "should" be there Wednesday. We will see. It's crazy that no one there knows what's going on enough to get a strait answer quickly. It's always "let me talk to my manager" or I'll get right back with you. They got my money so I'm no longer a priority to them. Despite having a lot of dealerships, I can say that the odds of me purchasing from any Andy Mohr dealership is nil. read more

These guys are the reason people hate taking their car to the dealership. The staff and the manager could care less if you are happy. They charge $150 for a diagnostic. Penske Chevy is so much more customer oriented and they only charge $69 for a diagnostic. read more

HORRIBLE communication, not the greatest customer service. It will take weeks to get your vehicle back when you were told 4 days on the third time of taking it to get fixed- first time didn't have the parts but we're told to bring it; second- left it for a week, ended up being told they had the wrong parts; third- told 4 days, we're on day 13 and counting. When trading in our previous vehicle that had after market wheels, they didn't want the after market rims. With the understanding that my husband and I both worked the next couple days and would drive the 1.5 hour to switch the after market wheels for the stocks the next day my husband was off, my husband let them know he was on the way and he was informed they sold it before he got there. No compensation offered. Overall an awful experience and I would not recommend them to anyone or use them again. read more
