We purchased a new pickup a while back from Andy Mohr Chevorlet in Plainfield. The salesman worked within our budget, took into consideration exactly what my husband asked for in a new vehicle. The salesman wasn't pushy and noted upfront the price listed on the internet and it was the bottom dollar price. The price was very reasonable and fair to my husband. The service was excellent and the salesman placed my husband's requested changes immediately before we took possession the next day. The following day everything was handled as requested and on time. We've since taken the vehicle in for maintenance and found the service department excellent. Very honest, friendly, calls with estimate before repairing a part and we've never encountered a problem. When I called initially to set an appointment I had to call 3 times to finally get a receptionist. Every time I called there was no answering of the phone in the service center. Once I finally got through the receptionist was not very helpful it was off putting. I almost hung up and called another location. I had to repeat and spell name out at least 5 times because she wasn't listening. This was my first time here and I needed an emergency service done. They were able to provide with a shuttle home while they serviced my vehicle. The service was quick and Brock communication was pretty good. He was able to apply my warranty to my service and made the calls to get it done. I received my car back within 7 hours after being told it should be 24-48 hours before diagnostic could be completed. Overall my experience was fair. They definitely can communicate a little better when it comes to the service they are providing. I should be able to know why a service is recommended and what is the priority service at the time of visit. read more

My check engine light was on so I took it to this dealership & picked it up the next day. Paid for it to be "fixed". As soon as I pulled off the lot my check engine came back on so I took it back. They called & said it was ready and when I picked it back up the next day the engine light was still on. This was the 3/4 time I done dropped my car off with them and my check engine light is still on. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't fix anything on my car & just charged me. read more

I brought my vehicle in to get checked out due to an issue from before I took ownership. Honestly, I've never been treated as poorly, by any dealership, as I was treated by the assistant service manager, Shane. He was incredibly unprofessional and rude, and wanted to provide me with zero solutions and zero help. After speaking to another manager, and being without my vehicle for two weeks, they finally diagnosed and replaced what I had suspected to be the issue in the first place, but was told was a "perfectly good part". The service I have received here from the time I bought my vehicle until now has been outright horrible. Lead me to believe I was approved for financing, to the point that I got my down payment together, and walked in to sign papers. They had run 2 hard inquiries and said my money and all my financial paperwork was sufficient. When I got there, asked me to double my down payment, ran 12 additional hard inquiries to my credit. Now I have no vehicle and a worse credit score. My experience could have been avoided if they were straight up with communication about what really needed to approve the sale. I did not like the way there was no talking to the finance people who are managing the credit authorizations. I never gave them permission to run 12 hard inquiries. There's a difference between knowing how to help someone get a loan for a car and just throwing information out there to a bunch of banks see if something sticks. My financials definitely were managed by a rookie. I regret trying to get a vehicle here, and not interested in working with any of the Andy Mohr dealerships because of it read more

My wife bought a 2013 VW Tiguan for our 17 your old daughter. The car was not detailed at all. I would have been embarrassed for a car to leave my lot looking like it did when it arrived. Coolant was filthy. Did not come with appropriate key. I have spent 16 hours cleaning and replacing things. Windshield wipers were rotten. Spent 250.00 dollars to replace the missing key at the VW dealership. During the inspection at the VW dealership it was noted that the rear brake pads were at a dangerous level. I went to look at getting a vehicle, 8 hours later they where still waiting to hear back from the banks. I ended up taking the vehicle home until they heard back. 7 days later I had to call and speak to a manger to get some answers. I was told come on in we will have the paperwork ready for you to sign and go. I went up there took 6 hours to get me to sign the papers. I got a text from my sales person a few days later and asked how I liked it. I told him I had a few issues with it and that's the last I heard from them. NEVER AGAIN will I go there. read more

This has to be the worst choice for a service center to go to for your vehicle. They are the slowest shop around and don't even have good prices for being so slow. Other service centers such as jiffy lube, Goodyear, and Firestone have cheaper services and are much faster. Oil changes here take 2-3 hours regardless of time of day. Tire patches take up to 2 hours while other places will be done with the same quality of work in less time and for less money. Have had to take car back multiple times for inadequate service performed. They have had to repatch my tire because their first wasn't cutting it and still leaked. They had to reorder map light buttons for my car three times because they couldn't just hold on to the part for two days before I could make it in, totalling the time needed to replace one spring over a week. Would NOT recommend this place for car service. read more

Maybe because it isn't the nicest looking car, but My Daughter received horrible service. She dropped her car off on a Thursday evening. They said they would call her when they knew what was wrong and if it was a recall service. She began calling at 2pm and left messages w/her customers contact because she hadn't heard anything. There was no one answering the phone. At 4:15 I called and asked for a supervisor in service. He apologized after I explained the circumstances. I asked that someone please call her. Even though I had spoke to him. No one ever called her. Went to pick up her car on Saturday morning. That was a complete joke. Trying to get someone to help check her out. BEWARE of Service Charges: My 2013 Chevrolet Silverado K3500 Duramax Diesel would not start. I was not sure if it as a battery issue, or other electrical issue. I purchased an extended warranty at the time I purchased the vehicle. After initial diagnosis, it was determined the primary battery needed to be replaced. I was presented with two options with varying price based on length of warranty. I selected the $144.95 option and the battery was replaced. When I was paying the cashier, I was informed my total was $270.80, much to my surprise. I would expect labor charges, but I was not expecting $92.00 of labor charges. Nor was I expecting $23.70 of shop supplies, which could not have consisted of anything more than a rag and dielectric grease. At no time prior to my interaction with the cashier did Garry Griffey advise me of a $92.00 per hour for labor or $23.70 shop supply charge. Had I had known of these charges, I would not have went to Andy Mohr Chevrolet. Again, I am a realist; I understand there are labor charges. However, I do not feel I received the value for which I was forced to pay. And I say forced to pay, as the work was already complete. I wasn't provided this information beforehand. I asked to speak to the service manager, but the service manager did not arrive. Eventually, I left. read more

My husband and I chose to take our Equinox here because we were overwhelmed with finding a good mechanic and we needed our car to be fixed ASAP. We were nervous about getting up charged but were willing to take the risk. We got a call within 18 hours of dropping off our car with a quote and the mechanic took his time explaining what was wrong with our car. The quote was way under what we had been expecting so we told him to go ahead and do the work! While they were fixing our cracked radiator, they found something else and called to let us know, and only charged us for parts and not labor for it. So awesome! I was out $300 to replace it - 3 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE - because batteries are not covered under warranty, even though it was Andy Mohr's mistake they sold me a car with the wrong type of battery. Andy Mohr does not respond to customers. I have left voice mails and emails many times and they have never once responded. Andy Mohr Chevrolet is an old fashioned type of dealership. In that they are practicers of Bait and Switch when it comes to price. I found a car I wanted to purchase on Cars.com and called them to verify the price. The first story I got was it was sold, the second story was it was over 7000 more than listed online. This is a brand new car that is a limited edition, and I am smart enough to know I am not going to get it at invoice. However it can be had all day long for factory sticker and there are plenty (over 200) to choose from. Their sales manager was non apologetic and told me it was a mistake which will be corrected to reflect their markup of over 7000 over factory sticker. If you want a good HONEST deal on a Chevrolet, go anywhere but Andy Mohr in Plainfield. I have updated my review to 2 stars from one. The manager said he would change the price online and he has. That being said, they are still greedy and you can buy this car THOUSANDS of dollars less at almost any other Chevrolet dealer. If you're looking for a used car stay away from this place. They won't tell you if it's been in an accident but you can view the Carfax. They take pictures of their used cars with the best views and leave out pictures where there's damage. They try to get you there and I guess figure you'll buy their junk cars. The car I went to look at (after driving 45 mins) had a sunroof like the picture showed but when I got there it was open and tape on it because it won't close. They failed to show that in the pictures or tell you over the phone. Then the salesperson, Danny, she was a total smart mouth once she realized how mad I was about being lied to. I was able to go on line to pick out the vehicle make, year, and color which was a plus. I walk with a cane and am not able to walk around different car lots to shop. My salesman brought the car I picked out to my car so I could test drive it. Once I decided for sure to buy the car he escorted me to the front office. I completed my application and waited for credit approval. Credit manager was exceptional. I added a warranty to my purchase. My air compressor went out less than a month after purchase so I took my car to the service department for repair. My service writer greeted me inside and kept me informed of the repairs until they were completed. She also provided me with a loaner car. I highly recommend Any Mohr. read more
