The only words to describe this restaurant is chaos & unorganized withrude & unapologetic (management), exasperated hostess, and disappointing thinny thin pizza. We had a reservation for 6 people. Arrived and were told they were NOT honoring reservations... PER THE MANAGER... it became a first table available, seat that many people... not even first come first served. The hostess "V" was doing her best, but was overwhelmed and snippy ( understandably). She wanted to honor the reservations, but was told "no". No manager available. We kept inquiring about our 6 person... they only had a couple of tables to accommodate 6 ?! It was nearly impossible to find a 4 & 2 empty at same time to push together. The hostess was under orders to fill every table with people as they emptied. Did not matter when they arrived. It was a cold night, people standing all over inside. Many people refused to wait and left. Others, crowded & packed inside, waited with the promise they would be next. When 2 of our 6 left... we were seated at a 4. Once seated we were told we had to order everything we wanted & the thinny thin was a 45 minute wait. Why? They were filling all to-go orders first then diners. The restaurant started clearing out. ALL our food came out at the same time. Slightly above room temp. Not hot. We finished...then the thinny-thin pizza showed up (more than 45 minutes). Not impressed with the pizza pan of grease atop a thin crust. Food was good (not worth the wait) . There should be no rush to try this restaurant under the current conditions. read more

tried it with friends about two months ago. We shared a thinny thin with mushrooms. For about 2 mushrooms, sliced up, it cost $3 extra! And it was way overdone to boot. The sauce tasted like it came straight from a can. Extreme overpriced. Calamari app was $18 for a small plate. Very salty overall. none of the four of us will be back. It's too bad because we heard so much about their pizza and we were all looking forward to it only to be greatly disappointed. Decor is horrendous too. read more

Pizza was good ! 7.5 however they bring it out an place it on a empty tomato can , unfortunately a little way into it , it all fell on the floor !!!! I want to start off by saying I have never had a worse experience at a restaurant, and just so you know, I eat out pretty often. First, We made our reservation specifically for a window seat, and ended up getting seated in the furthest corner facing the wall. Then, It took about 20 minutes for us to get menus and then 20 more minutes to get drinks. One person at my table ordered a water and it tasted like they walked outside and filled the cup with the lake water. Also, drinks came with no ice and soda was flat. Oh and I'm nowhere near done. Once we ordered our food, we were told it would take 40 minutes for a pizza and about 40-60 minutes for other dishes. INSANE. After this, I went to talk to the owner. He was TERRIBLY rude. He started to blame me for being a first time costumer and complained that no one ever comes in the winter. As if that has anything to do with the awful service. He continued to tell me he didn't know what I wanted him to do about it and acted like I was being dramatic and I didn't appreciate the "authenticity" of the place. There is a difference between being authentic and being genuinely awful. He promised we could be moved outside yet we never were. After this, my fathers pizza came out about an hour before everyone else's dishes as well as HIS appetizer. As if that makes any sense. His appetizer was served at the same time as everyone else's dinner. We ended up spending over 3 hours in this place due to the wait for everything. I made an online reservation for Mother's Day at 6:45 for 8 people. I got there at 6:40 and checked in with the front desk. The gentleman told me "oh the table behind you they are probably cleaning off for you" so I told him ok and we will be waiting outside. I waited outside till 7:10 went back inside only to see the table was being given to another party of 6. I then proceeded to ask the same gentleman at the front desk how come our table was given to someone else and no one even came out and said anything to us. He then told me I was wrong and he never said that table was ours and told me to wait again outside. So I did and didn't make a big deal even though I should have. Now mind you I have 3 boys, my husband, brother, sister in law and my elderly mom. So around 7:35 my husband went in and then he told him our table was ready. Sat down the waitress came by and asked for our drink order. Our family drinks unsweetened tea, diet soda and water. They were out of diet soda and unsweetened tea so we asked for water. The water came semi cold with no ice. Then we gave her our entire order and did not order apps just dinners. My son ordered wings as his dinner. She came back 20 minutes later to tell us they are out of wings. So he ordered a pizza instead. Now our food is coming out separately not together as it should. Pizza is cold and my brother and wife's pizza is burnt (the bro pie). Now it's not just the outside of the pizza, it's the entire pizza. The only good thing was my salad and my mom's. We eat cause we aren't waiting anymore and are hungry the kids have been waiting too. We finish up and it's around 8:30 so us and 1 more table are left in the restaurant. My one son is still waiting for the pizza and hasn't eaten...we are all finished eating by this time. We ask for the check and pay and finally his pizza comes out so we take it to go and eat in the car. $225 for horrible service! Never again! I miss IL Porto's a lot!!!! The location of Angeloni's is absolutely fantastic. However, the food, service, and management all fall well BELOW average. After returning, to give this place a second shot, I left even more upset than the first time. I don't recommend this place whatsoever. So sad that this beautiful location is a spot I will never return to. Multiple people have asked for recommendations on Lake Mohawk and I only have negative things to say about Angeloni's. Had lunch here today Parking was not a problem We did eat outside. Food was excellent. We got homemade mozzarella sticks for the table and they were excellent. As for the entrees we got chicken parm, chicken francaise, chicken Marsala, and beef short rib. A group of us were excited to eat at this restaurant. We had a 6:30 p.m. reservation on February 28th. Arrived at 6:25 and went inside to be seated. The hostess said there was a 1 hour wait. We said how can that be since we had a confirmed 6:30 reservation? She said her manager told her to seat anybody that comes in even if they had no reservation. How absurd to run a restaurant that takes reservations but doesn't hold tables as reserved. There were parties with 6pm reservations also still waiting for tables. Never got in as we left frustrated and had dinner at nearby restaurant instead. Don't know how the food is at this restaurant, since we didn't get in. Not impressed with the chaos of trying to get in, so can only imagine what the food and table service would have been like. Very disorganized restaurant they're running over there. Small portions! Five of us recently had dinner here. We tried the wings for an appetizer. They were spicy and had a dry spice rub that we did not enjoy. I would just stick with a sauce or have 2 different options. My friend said the burger he had was basic, nothing memorable. I had the Cavatelli Norma. It was a little spicy but was very good. My issue was that the portion looked like a half portion that you would get for lunch. I'm a smaller woman and I actually left there still hungry. I dont want to leave a restaurant hungry especially for what they charged for the pasta dish. My husband had the Vinegar chicken and he said the flavor was good but that it was a small portion as well. We all agreed about the portion sizes. There are too many other local good restaurants that give good portions. I hope they make this change because the view is great, but I'm not going to ever leave a restaurant feeling hungry. read more
