It's been years since I was last here. Honestly didn't even know I've been until checking in and noticing the review. We just wanted to pop in for a drink and a light snack to kill time while awaiting for an appointment. The restaurant/bar location is quite nice and easy to find. It's in a massive strip mall off of Bellflower Blvd with loads of parking. The place itself isn't that big but a decent amount of seating. There's a decent size patio that looks out to the walkway and parking lot in the front. Inside, you have the bar area to the left and the restaurant on the opposite side. Main dining area is right across from bar as well as another dining area. We sat at the bar which Jen was working that afternoon and took very good care of us. Very friendly and welcoming which is alway an amazing start to anything. She was the only one behind the bar so juggling everything for everyone and still with a smile and positive attitude. We didn't want anything major so started off with a beer and a snack to share. Later found out that they also offer happy hours with food specials as well. Anyways, the menu is limited to a certain extended. We went with the loaded tots. Let me just say, it was loaded and massive. It was perfect for sharing and then some. A major pile of tots with melted cheese, green onions, loads of chunks of bacon and drizzled with ranch dressing. And another side of dressing on the side. Thats like was meal in itself. Quite tasty to say and the chef behind the grill was very sweet as well. Bar area has seats that look out to the bar as well as the kitchen grill. A few seats offers that. It was a sweet little chat with the chef whom mentioned happy hour. The last time I was here we did order a good amount of snacks for sharing which was great. From this experience as well as the last, it was great. The staff were all amazing and friendly. Food was great. Somewhat of a bar snack from what we ordered but a few main entrees that were coming out did look quite tasty. Plus portions were pretty massive. And Jen, a sweetheart and doll. Came here to catch some World Cup late on a Friday night. Vibe is that of a comfy local spot. Good crowd and lots of screens. Portions for drinks and food are definitely generous! I didn't sample a lot of the food, but nachos with extra jalapenos were solid, and the custom French 75 with unflavored vodka substituting for peach vodka was quite good. Nice outdoor patio. Food and drink arrived very quickly and Hunter on service was pleasant and efficient! Lots of parking in the shopping plaza lot. read more

Updated 10.6.25: Thought I updated my review but didn't see it. Anyways, my first visit a couple days ago was great and came here again for a light lunch before heading to the airport to catch my flight home. Peyton was our server and provided outstanding service and didn't skip a beat when my friends daughter ordered a custom off-menu cocktail. For lunch I ordered the Phat Pretzel with Modelo Beer Cheese and the Pickled Cucumbers. The phat pretzel isn't named phat for no reason! It was HUGE--the size of the entire dinner plate. The pretzel was fresh, hot, and had a great cook to it and the beer cheese paired perfectly. Definitely could be a shareable appetizer. The pickled cucumbers were Asian style and had a nice heat profile. I liked how the cucumbers were cut chunky instead of the usual paper thin slices you usually see. My friend's daughter ordered a custom grilled ham and cheese with tomato bisque and it looked awesome. This location has housed several restaurants since it was built. This newest one really changed the layout. Despite the name, t's a sports bar. Thant's not a bad thing either. The main room is very open, with the bar and open kitchen taking most of one wall. There are many flat screen TVs tuned to different games. The service staff are friendly and work very hard. It's the kind of place where the staff all help each other. One person seated me and got me a drink. Another took my order. A third brought my food. Everyone was pleasant. I had a very nice Michilada to drink: The menu is varied. I didn't want something too heavy. I ordered a hamburger called "Big Mc-Intyre, which was described like a take on the Big Mac. It's definitely not that. But the choice was my fault. And the description was not inaccurate. I couldn't have eaten it like a hamburger, without making a huge mess. It had a huge amount of melted cheese, lots of grilled onions, and bacon strips. It was ver messy, but all of the parts were really good. The cheese was nice. The meat was clearly not from preformed patties and tasted great. But the huge patties, mound of grilled onions, bacon, and cheese oozing out from all sides was just way more than what I was thinking. It tasted nothing like its namesake. Again, my fault. It wasn't my thing, but it had good bones. I'd come here to watch a game. There were lots of guys doing just that. But there were moms with their kids, couples, and others. I come to Kennedy's Craft Kitchen whenever I'm heading to a Long Beach State game, and I have to say, their Brussels sprouts are absolutely top-tier! They've earned a spot in my all-time favorites, and they're consistently delicious. This was my second visit, and I made sure to order them again. I also tried the Nashville hot chicken, which had great flavor and generous portions. Second time caught myself being health and got the nashville hot chicken salad!!!. The ample parking is a bonus, making it easy to stop by. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and give them five stars! Also staff is always friendly. I've had the pleasure of dining at Kennedy's Bar & Grill quite a few times now, sometimes with just one friend, sometimes with a group of five or six. No matter the party size, we always seem to find a comfortable spot: near the bar, in the main dining area, or by the big front windows looking out toward the parking lot. The menu is great and by great, I mean guacamole, chicken wings, tacos... all my love languages. The food is consistently good and prices are fairly reasonable, especially during happy hour (which is where it's really at). Service can be hit or miss, but honestly, that seems to be the way of the world lately. Even so, I've never had a bad experience, just the occasional slower moment. The atmosphere is relaxed, the TVs are always turned on, and it's the kind of place where you can stroll in post-workout or post-shopping without feeling out of place. The food here is delicious. I've never ordered anything I didn't like. They also have a variety of options from American to Mexican to Asian inspired dishes. It's a pretty popular restaurant with plenty of seating indoor and out. It's a decent size, clean, with 2 restrooms. Full bar. Staff is always friendly and attentive. They have TVs inside and out for all the sports lovers. My recent trip, last night, I had their Loco Moco. 10 out of 10. The combination of the garlic fried rice, burger patty, two over easy eggs, and that gravy was perfection. Every element had its own flavor. Well seasoned. I came to this place with coworkers for a group social. I got the ribeye steak, mashed potatoes, and Brussels sprouts. The mashed potatoes were dry and had no flavor. Maybe some garlic salt or garlic butter would have helped. Brussels sprouts were good and the steak was very tender. That was by far the best item on my plate. Great service provided by Payton. There is parking available at the shopping center by Lazy Acres. They have a great Happy Hour with awesome drinks. They are great and strong. I have tried their Mango Margarita $8 after 6 pm on a Thursday. They have 2 restrooms (all gender RR) and are very clean. They also have lots of TV's everywhere. I have tried their Beef Stroganoff and it was delicious with short rib. This time I tried their HH Carne Asada nachos. It is good to share with 4 persons. We also had their $4 HH tacos. Delicious! We stopped here for a light lunch. My friend and I shared a Reuben and the waitress was nice enough to split it up into two plates for us. Wonderful sandwich. The bread was toasty and buttery with a nice amount of spread and sour components to complement the meat. We sat outside, but indoor seating was also available. I can't help but look over at what other people ordered and the table next to us had a heaping order of tater tots and Alfredo pasta that looks amazing. Casual. I normally don't leave reviews, but my experience here was disappointing from start to finish. The service was terrible -- slow, inattentive, and not what you'd expect from a place with this many good reviews. On top of that, there was a price mismatch on my bill that I had to point out myself, which should've been caught before it even got to me. After leaving a one-star review, the owner reached out and offered a $50 gift card to "make things right." However, when I contacted them, I was told they only offer physical gift cards and I'd have to come back in person to pick it up -- despite me explaining that I don't live nearby. So instead of an actual apology or a solution that works for the customer, I was basically told, "drive back if you want what we offered." It's frustrating when a restaurant acknowledges their mistakes but still makes the customer do all the work to fix it. The whole thing just reinforced how little they value the guest experience. I won't be coming back -- and I definitely wouldn't recommend going out of your way for a place that puts this little effort into making things right. read more

Service was excellent, food was nothing great. Went for lunch on a Tuesday at Noon. Two of us, no wait and not many people there. We were greeted and told to sit anywhere we would like. Menus and drink ordering were both quickly taken care of. Food came out quickly as well. We both ordered the same thing. A beef and cheddar sandwich with fries. The fries were excellent- crisp, seasoned well and hot. The sandwiches were the disappointment. Bread was greasy/soggy, meat was dry and overcooked. Cheese was fully melted- which is good- but had very little taste to add to the sandwich. I definitely wouldn't order it again. Ambiance was OK. It looked a lot better from the outside. Lots of TVs for watching games but it was just a strip mall store with restaurant tables. Nothing special. Not sure I will return. read more

I had lunch with some friends from work at Kennedy's and really liked my Reuben sandwich. Nice juicy chunks of corned beef with sauerkraut and dressing. I hadn't had a Reuben in a long time, and this was very satisfying. Kennedy's is also a great place for happy hour. We've come here a few times and they have some good drink and appetizer specials. I've been to Kennedy's five times now, and each time I've ordered the veggie tacos. While they're not on the printed menu, the kitchen has always been kind and accommodating, and they've consistently made them for me -- no issue. I truly enjoy the flavor and kept coming back because of that. This last visit, however, was incredibly disappointing -- and frankly, disturbing. When I walked in and ordered the veggie tacos again, Veronica, who I understand is the manager and was working behind the bar, made it very clear she didn't appreciate my request. She kept repeating, "They're not on the menu," multiple times -- even after I explained that I'd ordered them several times before with no issue. I even complimented the dish and suggested they should consider adding it to the menu because it's so good. She finally said, "I'm going to do it this time," and put in the order. When my tacos arrived, I started eating -- and immediately realized I was chewing carne asada. Not mushrooms, not veggies -- meat. As a vegetarian, this was really upsetting. I called Veronica over and told her what happened. I explained that I believed this error occurred because she had made such a point to protest my order -- and the kitchen didn't take it seriously. Instead of apologizing or showing concern, she told me I had been complaining since I walked in (which was not true), and then told me I needed to leave and that I was "not welcome here anymore." She even said, "I bet this was your plan all along." What does that even mean? That I intentionally came in here to trick someone into giving me meat so I wouldn't have to pay? That I had some hidden motive? Frankly, it felt like a microaggression -- maybe more than that. I can't help but ask myself: Would she have said that to a white customer? She takes the wine I'm drinking, snatches the glass and tosses it. She did not like that I was upset being served meat as anyone who is trying to avoid meat for FOUR WEEKS would be. She knew that only because she was eavesdropping on my conversation with another patron who also agreed I shouldn't pay for anything considering my dietary restriction was violated because of her unwillingness to accommodate what has been done during 4 previous visits. I came in simply to enjoy the same meal I've enjoyed four times before. I came in expecting kindness and community, and instead I left feeling insulted, disrespected, and targeted. read more

Best place in in Long Beach. Alyssa Rivera is a jewel and if you can get her to be your server, please do you will not be disappointed. All I can say is if I could give them six stars I would cause five just doesn't seem like enough. So in closing hell yeah I would recommend Kennedy's craft kitchen and cocktails. Finally made it to Kennedys, it feels more like a bar that happens to sell food than a full fledged restaurant. I had the braised beef sandwich and it was pretty good. My other half had a shrimp burrito, it was huge but we both agree that beans in a shrimp burrito does not work. They need to keep it fresh, maybe use their cole slaw instead, add some tartar sauce and that would be great. We each had a mai Tai, pretty good but a bit on the sweet side. I completely acknowledge that they were busy at the time that we came in, but it took forever for anyone to come take our order. The host was very nice and seated as quite quickly. The initial waitress seemed friendly. She took our order, but then the waitress changed she delivered our food, but did not come back to check on anything and my food was inedible the watermelon or feta. Something was old and caused the slimy like texture to coat the arugula salad and I almost threw up. Once the waitress did come back to take our plates then I expressed to her that I couldn't eat this and we requested it be removed from our bill which it was. It's unfortunate. It's very typical bar food. I guess nothing was seasoned. Everything was fairly bland. Tried the bean and cheese burrito. There was over vinegar. Pickles guacamole was lackluster. We came here to welcome our IS support team friend from Wisconsin. This place did not disappoint. Great service, great happy hour. It was packed on a weekday. TVs around to support GameDay. I didn't really partake in the HH food, but ordered a couple items to go and it was delish. Originally we were wanting to come during happy hour, but couldn't make it happen so we decided to go on a Saturday around 4pm. We got seated right away for a party of 6. There's TVs all around so really not a bad seat in the house. They also played the sound of the game! This place had great atmosphere and delicious food. We ordered a lot of food and we liked everything. We ordered the loaded tots, cucumbers, and spinach and artichoke dip as appetizers. For entrees, we got the loco moco, wings, chicken fried steak, and French dip. All worth ordering! Can't wait to come back because I want to try their pretzel! I can't say I love this place anymore. I used to go more often, and I always had this wonderful waitress named Ari. She was a sweetheart. So attentive and accommodating with me and my daughter. I haven't seen her in probably 4-5 months. I would give her, specifically, 5 stars. The last few times I went (and the reasons I will no longer be going), the service was extremely slow and rude. I'm not sure if the waitstaff is untrained, but I miss the service we once had. The food used to be consistent, and I had tried a variety of dishes and I was pleased with them. On my last visit, I believe it was on or around 5/4/26, I ordered the steak salad. The steak genuinely tasted like nothing. It seemed like it had been cooked, chilled, and then heated up again, then sliced. Zero seasoning on it. I tried to get my server's attention, unsuccessfully, for about 15 minutes. By that point, my daughter and my friend had both finished their food. The server offered to get me something else, and I declined her offer. I had her take the salad away as I had not ate any of it. I got the bill, and I was surprised to see that my salad was still on there. If I had ate it, or taken it to go, I would understand being charged for it. I brought it up to the waitress, and she said that she doesn't have the ability to take it off the bill, and she would have to get a manager, but she didn't know where the manager was. I've been avoiding reviewing kennedy's for one reason and one reason only: because i didn't want the word to get completely out (obviously mine would be the review to send it over the edge, haha), ruining my 100% success rate in scoring a good outside table every time i go in, which ranges from every couple of months to three times a week. but the word seems to be out, and i honestly should've reviewed this place ages ago, so here we go: FINALLY a non-chain restaurant in my hood, with extra points for being walking distance. also, after the two previous restaurants that lived in this space: WOW, thanks for having good food, good service, and good drinks, because the prior two definitely did NOT have even one of the aforementioned. on that note: good food, great/relaxed atmosphere, TASTY cocktails, great service from great servers. i've taken nearly everyone i know here, and they all love it - except for my in-laws, whom i took there on an afternoon that it happened to be excessively LOUD for some reason; even i thought it was a little unusual -- but overall, my friends now know that when they want to come to the LBC to have a meal with me, we're going to end up here and several of them have even their own menu favorites at this point. it's also my and my son's go-to whenever we want to grab a quick dinner to catch up, so needless to say, i can't even count the times i've dined here at this point. if i had to say anything negative about them, it's that although it's great they've expanded their menu, they have dropped a few things that i miss, and they've stopped giving their selections the cute names we knew them for in the early days. but that's just me, so i'm not going to drop a star for it.  i'm also not blown away by their breakfasts; they're really good, but they shine more at lunch and dinner, so i've been known to show up at 11:30 and just sip on a mimosa till i can get the lunch menu.  i will also say i am NOT a fan of their fish tacos, but then, i'm not a huge fan of fish tacos in general, so i'm not taking a star off for that, either.   but that's me really digging deep for negatives; this is a five star joint for me all the way. my hands down favorite menu items (barring a few others that are no longer available) are the brussels, the nashville chicken sandwich, and the nashville chicken salad. i opt for the latter at this point pretty much 90% of the time, as it's always a home run.  they also have a pretty generous daily happy hour.  oh, and their hummus/veggie plate is great; the pitas are next level if they come out fresh. anyway, i love this spot, but please don't come here, because even on night 1 of the world series tonight, i got a table (with it standing room within 15 minutes later) - so yeah, don't come here.  but do come here when it won't impede me, because this place is a hidden gem in east LBC. read more

Despite the fact that this restaurant has an overall sports bar vibe, the food is outstanding. There are all kinds of seating, geared for groups of all sizes, with televisions everywhere you look. Patio and indoor tables, high tables by the bar, and barstools. The salad I ordered for brunch was delicious, filling, and contained high quality ingredients. The large pretzel that comes with a side of cheese dip is actually a meal in itself. Shouldn't have, but had to because I saw other people's pictures. Service was okay. It looked like they were running short. Someone may have called in sick or late. I chose to sit inside because the patio tables are right off the entry into the strip mall parking.
