Message on the drive thru screen says minimum 8:50 for credit card purchase. I tried to do the right thing and presented a debit card. The clerk stated 8:50 minimum with a credit card. I replied that is why I did not give you one, this is debit. She replied "For all cards". This is when I gave up and paid an extra dollar. Sometimes it is just not worth it to be right. The guy working was handling food & money from customer to customer, drive thru, cash register, cooking as well as front counter and never washed his hands once!!! The lady was only focusing on the burgers. Sorry but they needed another person working to help out. Our burgers were out a few minutes before our fries and stuff. The guy was working hard and was nice but he needs to be more conscious of sanitation and food handling practices. It's a cute place tho. The chili was watered down waay too much. Ok; since moving over to this side of town I've passed this place numerous times wondering would they stand up to other dinner style old school grease slider establishments i.e. (Greene's - Farmington Hills, Telway - Detroit). Well......I wonder no more, Vinnies has a ton of potential......from the soft bun, to the thin cut sweet onions caramelized into the meat patty, to the salty brine pickle slices. These sliders are flavorful and filling. Would have liked a little seasoning on the meat, but that's a personal preference. The old-school crinkle cut fries was hot and lightly dusted with salt. With a friendly wait staff......my experience was a 8 out of 10. After a few more trips, to check for consistency of product and service....I could easily give this place 10 out of 10. read more

Just sat in the drive through for 30 minutes with no response. I don't mind waiting but dang. At least tell me to hold on or something. This place is crap. If you want great burgers go to Bray's in Westland that's what they're trying to copy off. Also not open on Sunday. read more

I would have given it a much higher rating, but the fact that you cannot get a glass of water, but need to buy their bottled water instead, is a huge turn-off. Makes them seem greedy. I really liked the place. It's homey; reminiscent of hamburgers stands like Bates or Greene's. Under $2 you can get a hamburger, but they are small so I recommend getting two. For 2 cheeseburgers, 1 double cheeseburger, chili cheese fries, a chocolate malt and orange creamsicle drink was $17. Cheaper than McDonald's, but much better. The owners are super friendly. I went in and grabbed what I thought was a menu from the counter, but it turned out to be a printed copy of some ridiculous anti-Obama conspiracy-theory chain email. They had copies at every seat. Now, I don't care about your politics, but please don't shove them at me when all I want is a hamburger. This was a huge turn-off for me. The food was not good. Dry burgers, soggy buns, bland chili. Cheap prices, so I was willing to forgive the cheap food, but the service was also bad. I watched them make all of our burgers completely, cooked, topped, wrapped and bagged, and then they STARTED cooking our fries in the fryer. So we sat there for another 10 min waiting for our fries while our burgers got cold. They won't give you water...you can only buy bottled water, and they make you spend over $8 if you want to pay with plastic, which is a pain if you are only getting food for one person. Cheap food for cheap prices, which might have been enough to get me to go back if it weren't for the political preaching. I won't go back. I'd recommend Ray's burgers on Canton Center just north of Ford Rd. instead. The burgers tasted way better there. read more

I love sliders so I've been anxious to try this place for a while. I stopped in a little past lunch time so I was literally the only person there. Thus, I received great service while sitting at the bar. I ordered 2 doubles and a chili fry. Both were great and to me these are a great version of the traditional slider. They do the traditional griddled hamburger with onions and then serve it wrapped in paper with hand-cut pickles on top. I loved their pickles because they were fresh, thick and crunchy - so I asked for more. The chili fries were great too and used crinkle cut fries, which I like, with chili sauce that was straight coney style. Overall, I really enjoyed this place and would stop in again. read more

The lady behind the counter..not only didnt know what kind of meat she was serving her guests,but she was very rude when we asked her what cut of beef she was using in her burgers. So sad that she told me and my granddaughter she didnt care either and yeld at us because we chose not to stay..... wouldn't recommend this place to anyone unless you don't care about whats in your food read more

I'm not sure about the last review, but I found these hamburgers to be great and the fries were very good too. The burgers were typical slider fare but I would rate them right up there with Bates in Livonia. I feel this will be a nice addition to Canton. Remember to bring cash or order at least $8 worth of stuff due to the credit card minimum. read more

This USED to be my favorite hamburger spot when it was Vinnie's. Sadly it's no longer Vinnie's and the hamburgers are just not the same or as good. I went there again and got my fries which were covered in some kind of flavored salt - which I did not order - so I sent them back. The first batch was overcooked and so was the second. I don't know what the difference is in the burgers but they're just not as good. The prices have gone up and it takes way too long for your order to get to you. I used to drive all the way out there when it was Vinnie's but I'll no longer do that. It's too far a drive for me for something that is now mediocre. I'll go to Joe's Hamburgers in Wyandotte for my fix. read more

Nasty greasy burgers with no seasoning. I rather go to Checkers or Rally's. The fries are not seasoned at all.

This place is finally open!! Seems like they have been in the building stage for about 3 years!! Just like a 50's diner inside. Kindda small with about 10 seats at the counter and a few along the windows. Pretty much just do burgers, fries, and chilli.... Drinks include shakes, malts, and pop. Drive thru is not quite open, but sure it will be very soon... Was $24.00 to feed our family of 3. Not too bad, but not cheap. Got 2 shakes, but the soft serve machine stopped working before we could get our root beer float. Overall a pretty good experiece for a new place..... I will return soon!! read more

Skip the drive through if you are in a hurry. I spent 23 minutes waiting today after I placed my order. I am 100% convinced that they don't start cooking your food until they have your money in hand. Had lunch here after I saw this place on my way to Yspilanti. I'm a big fan of diner/slider burgers. First off, I knocked off a star because they don't give you water, you have to buy bottled water. I used to run a restaurant and this is beyond belief to me. If they have water to make soda, coffee, tea, and lemonade, they should have tap water. Barring that, free refills for the other beverages would have been nice, but they charge for all refills. However, having said that, I can't complain about the burgers. To me, the double burger (no cheese) was exactly how a slider burger should be. Made to order, steamed bun, freshly cooked onions (for some, it may be too much onions, but I love cooked onions on burgers). The crinkle cut fries were exactly the way I like them, on the softer side. Some people would probably prefer it to be crispier, but I like em softer, so they were just right for me. The prices are similar to the other slider places, so no complaints there. read more

The sliders here are perfect. Just beef, sauted onion, cheese, a little sauce, and pickles on the side... How could it be so good? I don't know, but it is. The double has a nice ratio of meat to everything else. The singles may be thin on meat for some tastes. Service is fast and friendly. Fries are crinkle cut, and not too soft or soggy. They don't offer much else, but there is one other thing to mention: they serves the best strawberry milkshake I've ever had. It's not always available, though - they only make the strawberry shake when they can get good strawberries. They hours are somewhat limited, and they are closed on Sunday. read more

Vinnies is just a true Detroit Style Sliders Burger Stand. The chili you can get them smothered in is exactly what you love expect from good motor city chili. The crinkle style fries are good but nothing unexpected. Shakes are good as well. They have a small menu and it's always fresh tasting. They have a drive through window but just understand you will have to wait a couple minutes since they're making your food and not heating it up. read more

My bf and I decided to take a drive on a really nice day. We drove from Dearborn to Canton and came across this cute little diner and decided to stop. It looked like the old diners of the 50`s. Too Cute! It was the BEST thing we did that day. The food is simple but fresh.. NO FROZEN BURGER PATTIES HERE! The food was GREAT. WONDER Fries and the Malts are Deeelicious!! I go here from time to time. Shakes are great, but the last time I had them the flavor of onions was totally overpowering. I don't mind that this place is too expensive for the quality of food you get (6 sliders with cheese and a shake for over 20 bucks), I just expected it to be better, I probably will heat here again but I expected more. read more

Decided to try this place out after driving by one day. My kids and I tried their hamburgers, fries, and a chocolate malt. The burgers are tasty, but on the small side. Fries were good too. The malt, to me, doesn't have the same flavor I was looking for. I haven't had one for years. I think using soft serve ice cream just can't replicate the right taste. I really enjoyed this place. Fresh food and very tasty. Fries are ALWAYS fresh, which is my largest complaint going to a fast food joint. The building and parking lot are small. Sometimes I drive by and it's totally full. Good enough for me to wait about 20 minutes and try again though!! Also, they don't serve tap water... but from what I know, this is not illegal and I would be happy to purchase my drink. I see a handful of reviews angry about that. All in all I will go back, not only for the food and the crew, but also for the very handsome manager. read more

The first time I came here I was not impressed. At the time I was still willing to give it another shot. After coming here again I have recognized that this is not that great. Compared to other slider places around the Detroit area the burgers do not stack up. The prices are significantly higher here than many of the other places I've tried. The amount of time it took to get my food was a bit of surprise. I did not expect to wait well past 10 minutes to get to burgers and chili fries. The shake was also not cheap and was only vanilla soft serve and Hershey syrup. Overall I will probably not come back here and less it is cheaper for one person to eat a meal. I would rather drive a couple of extra miles to go to Bates in Lavonia and save money on the food. The extra gas would still be less than the total amount paid for for food. The last note that I have is that the young staff should be more focused on taking care of the customer then their friends who are there while they're working. The hardest part for all of this for me specifically is how much we love their shop sub shop. read more

stopped in the other day after my sons football game and had some of the best old school onion burgers ever the call them sliders but as sliders goes most places these are a bit bigger .I would compare the place to Bates or Mottz but these guys have the edge better meat and my favorite coney fries have to be the best I ve ever had and i have had coney fries damn near every joint from Ann Arbor to Detroit and their shakes love the old school malt going to have to try the Boston Cooler havnt had one since I was a kid . on a side note I see a few comments about the prices I honestly dont mind paying a lil more than say Mcd or Wendy prices as far as burger joints go I see think they are right in line plus I noticed that their meat and buns where from the city wont mention the companies but its nice to keep money local and business small read more
