Meanwhile, two tables that were seated after us already had their drinks. The waitress also came across as pretty snarky, which didn't help the situation. I ordered the two eggs breakfast and the kids French toast. Unfortunately, the food was not good. The eggs were very bland, the hash browns had an odd dirt-like taste, and the sausage patty was raw in the middle. The restaurant itself is super cute and has a lot of potential, but the service and food quality really need improvement. When we checked out, no one even asked how everything was. The gravy looked like a pre-mix and not country gravy. Wife didn't eat it because she said it tasted odd. Portions were good sized if they had been better. Visited Dallas recently and found this establishment in Yelp. They didn't have a lot of reviews but decided to try them out and I'm so glad I did. I ordered the breakfast burrito and my mom ordered the chicken and waffles . The burrito came with a creamy poblano sauce that was very flavorful. The burrito had bacon, potatoes and some other stuff. It also came with a side of bean soup. The chicken was SUPER flavorful and the waffles were soft. The chicken still remained flavorful and good to eat after being microwaved the next day which is rare. I honestly wasn't expecting much from this restaurant but I'm so glad I stumbled upon it. I even recommended a few friends who were in town and they loved it as well. I'll definitely come here again whenever I'm in Dallas. read more

I went to brunch here on New Year's Day with some friends after a very long New Year's Eve celebration. This is located in the back of a shopping center. The place was pretty busy but our server did a great job. She mentioned that the kitchen was behind so it might be a little longer than normal. I appreciated the heads up and assume one of the cooks may have called in "sick" since it was New Years Day. I got the Biscuit N' Sausage Gravy $12.75. This comes with 2 large biscuits with sausage gravy, potatoes or hashbrowns and 2 eggs cooked to order. I got my eggs sunny side up and went with the hashbrowns extra crispy. The gravy had very large chunks of sausage in it that i really liked. The sunny side up eggs may have been cooked a bit too long in the circle mold as the outside edges had a tough extra crisp edge but luckily the yolks were still runny. I basically cut into the yolks, cut the biscuits up and mixed everything together, this was delicious and a very good portion size. A manager came by to check on us and the server did a great job with refills and pre-bussing. I would gladly go back here anytime! read more

I've been on a quest to try all the brunch spots in my local area and more. Stopped by this quaint, modern farmhouse inspired diner. The food was pretty decent. I can only speak for what we ordered. We ordered the chicken and waffles, sausage gravy biscuits, and coffee. Chicken and waffles were delicious but the bacon that came with was super dry. Sausage and gravy biscuits seem to be missing some flavor and tasted a bit too bland, but the biscuits were cooked just right, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Coffee was good, came out pipping hot. Our server was great, worked fast and was efficient. Other than that, I would give this place another go. Overall, a good experience. Wow... Let me start by saying I'm not into breakfast or brunch typically. This place may have converted me. This is an unassuming restaurant in a random strip mall. We went in on Easter Sunday and there was a crowd but it wasn't crazy. Large space and we were promptly seated. Everything from service to food was spot on. Our waitress was great! Stopped in as a party of 6 at 11am on Saturday and were sat immediately. They tried to sit us at a booth, but I requested a table to make it easier for us and they switched us with no problem. Our server, Karla, was very nice - although she disappeared for a bit and another server Tammy and a man brought out our food. Tammy was very rude. I can see why most of the recent reviews mention service quality. My cousin mentioned her plate was incorrect as she ordered the potatoes with her omelette and Tammy dang bear rolled her eyes. Then we mentioned that the omelette should have avocado(we paid extra for) and she responded with lots of sass "I don't know if it has avocado, maybe they were gonna bring out on the side! And she walked away muttering under her breath. The avocado was indeed brought out on the side, but her response and reaction was unwarranted as we were very polite in asking. This place was alright. I think we more-so messed up and came to get brunch on a tight timeline. I got the Two-Egg Breakfast and it was okay. Nothing spectacular, but not heinous. Not a lot of flavor, but that may just be the dish. The staff was very nice, but service was a bit slow. I think that may be all brunch places. That seems to be a common theme. We went about 11:00 and were seated right away. There are booths and tables throughout, really cute decor. I liked the gallery wall, beautiful textured wavy porcelain backsplash in the cafe area, and the ceiling fixture. Warm colors, very cozy. The menu was ample and had a variety of options available, from breakfast to lunch options. Pretty moderately priced. We opted for a mimosa, I went with a traditional one and my friend did the poinsettia punch, it was rimmed in sugar and served with berries, she loved it. The orange juice is fresh-squeezed and delish. I ordered the man-eater omelet since I am watching my carb intake and substituted food instead of biscuits or pancakes. My friend ordered the migas and pancakes. She loved it and did a little dance because it was so yummy. I asked for bell pepper and cilantro to be added to mine, was very tasty and had a beautiful presentation. Went during soft opening on a Sunday and luckily no wait! Menu had a lot of great options from benedict to omelets, skillets and traditional breakfasts. Food was great! I had the country skillet and it was enough to bring home half for next day. They also have iced lattes which is one of my make or breaks with breakfast places. Another guest with us had the basic eggs and bacon and the other the eggs benedict. All tasted fresh and was good. You definitely get your moneys worth here given the portions. Staff was super friendly and even with some minor kinks with orders, but our waiter made sure to get everything right. So glad to see a good breakfast/brunch place added to this part of town. I'm usually not too fussy when it comes to restaurants not being able to make substitutions, but they used to have a delightful Chik-n-Pancake that drew me to this place. It was simply delicious! However, today, they've changed their menu and now only serve Chik-n-Waffles. I asked if they could at least substitute the waffles for the pancakes, but our waiter refused. Instead, they suggested I order pancakes on the side. Why can't they just charge me for what I want and provide me with what I requested? To be honest I was disappointed. The atmosphere was beautiful however: 1. Son was bummed waffles aren't on the kids menu. 2. I was bummed there's no substitutions for bacon, our family doesn't eat bacon and would have to pay extra for chicken sausage. You're already charging a decent price but now I pay more bc I don't eat pork. Just seemed odd to me. It's not about the money for me, just more the point. Food and Service - 3 I ordered a corn beef hash skillet. The meal was not hot, the flavor was decent, and the ratio of meat to potatoes was off. There was a ton of potatoes and not enough of everything else. The pancakes fell short; in my opinion, they were slightly rubbery and did not taste like they had any buttermilk in the batter. The hostess at the front of the restaurant was not very pleasant with the greeting; maybe she was overwhelmed. Our server was excellent.
