I was warned that the medium hot was going to be very spicy, however, I didn't think it was spicy at all. I was disappointed in the lack of salt and spice in my dish. I ordered the Mac and cheese bowl. It was good, just was missing something. They give you a little ramekin of sauce that is good to drizzle over it all. The portions are huge so you have plenty to eat for lunch the next day! The service was definitely made-to-order, which we do not mind one bit! Other places use a creamy spicy sauce but Angry Chicks dusts the chicken with a blend of hot pepper powders. I'm not sure what kind of peppers they are but some of the blends are HOT AS FU-K!! She was kind enough to even come outside later and let us know our order was ready (we couldn't hear the numbers being called out there). I always go to the location on Bullard and blackstone and I think it will stay that way. I ordered two crazy mac bowls one x hot and one mild. Took almost 30 minutes to get my order. When I went up to counter to get it I asked the cashier which was which and she said there was a sticker indicating with a slight annoyance to her voice. To my surprise she had switched both flavors. My partner coughed so hard when she tried her's turns out she got the x hot and not the mild like the stickers said. The temperature of the food was cold, felt like it was sitting around before being called out. I went to the front counter and let the cashier know that they were labeled wrong and cold. I asked her to touch the food so that she could see I wasn't lying. All she said was she could've switched the stickers and for the temperature they could remake them. This is one of those nicer fast food restaurants (fast casual), with some effort out into making the restaurant look updated. You go up to order and they will call your number. I like that you can get whatever level of spice you want from none to HOT. I think they have great flavoring either way, so have gotten the "country heat" which is basically no spice. My friend loves the medium spice on this, but finds any spicier too hot. I alway get their angry Mac (Mac and cheese with chicken and fries, I ask for no fries in mine). This is one of the most delicious things I have had!! They give huge servings too, so I can always get at least 3 meals out of it for myself. We enjoy the chicken from this location. They use a dry rub to season their chicken. The chicken is flavorful and depending on which spice level you choose, appropriately spicy! Unfortunately, we don't really enjoy their fries, or bread. We have not tried their Mac and cheese yet. The sauce is just okay. For comparison: for us personally, they aren't as good as Raising Cain's (but closer to our side of town) but much better than the chicken shack that is located in the same plaza. I like their open floor plan though their tables are intended for small groups of people. The employees are nice but are not as welcoming or enthusiastic as say Chick-fil-A/Starbucks would be. Lastly, and the biggest con of the place to keep in mind. The chicken is small. Small for the price. To the point that we believe that they are overpriced now that their prices went up. One tender alone cost $5 . I wouldn't mind the price mark up if the chicken was a more generous size. But I don't think it's right to increase prices while decreasing the portion. In conclusion. Despite the little things that could be better. The chicken is good. We do recommend you try this place if you are a fried chicken lover. read more

The tray the food came on had food STUCK to the bottom. The food was VERY overpriced for fried chicken and cheap tasting Man N Cheese which gave me literal FOOD POISONING. I dropped in here on the way home from a road trip and... it wasn't a great decision. This place isn't for me. The location itself is pretty open and airy, good amount of natural light but they keep in cool inside. It's clean. The server was friendly and the food came out pretty quickly. It's not a particularly nice place to hang out in, IMO. Though it's clean and they have everything you need readily available, they had like 8 different TVs on different channels, loud music playing, and I think at least 2 of the TVs also had their sound on. It was just a bit of a racket. The menu isn't very clear - I thought I was ordering a slider and fries but I was ordering two, and like a pound of fries. They also season the fries with whichever seasoning you select for the chicken. To me this is redundant, if I'm having a spicy burger I want regular fries with it. The slider was fine, the piece of chicken was pretty small - I'd rather just have a decent sized chicken breast on the same roll and have one of them. I also got a side of the macaroni and cheese, which was really artificial and frankly quite gross. If you haven't had hot chicken and want to try it, this is a decent option.
