Two piece comes with a breast and with wing and thigh. These aren't Costco's mutant giant chickens, so the portion may seem small initially, but the flavor is great. The only drawback I'd say on the chicken is that it was a little dry, tender, but the texture of the meat said it had seen heat for a little too long. But not to worry because the salsa adds the missing moisture right back in. Also, thinking I'll try the whole chicken next time as I don't know when they chopped up the bird I ate, so it may have been drying out from that. I got the flour tortillas, they have corn available, and those were good, pretty standard. The potato salad is good, not greasy/oily, not 90% mayonnaise, good flavor. The rice was even better than the potato salad, and I'm not a huge fan of either and both were a good complement to the chicken. Rice was flavorful and had texture, enough stick to make it easy to eat, and evenly cooked. This place isn't glamorous, it's quaint and simple and doing it right. Coming back to see if it gets better with the whole chicken.

I don't have a place to compare it to, but it was hot and smokey. I understand we're cooking the meats at our table, but we felt like the AC should've been pumping. When we were finally seated, we were placed at a table outside in the front where there was a very unpleasant smell from the freshly paved street. We politely asked if it would be possible to move to a different table. We completely understood if there wasn't one available and didn't mind waiting longer, but the host's attitude made us feel like our concern wasn't valid. We ended up waiting another hour before being seated elsewhere. If the restaurant knew the odor outside was that bad, they shouldn't have been seating guests in that area. The smell can make it impossible to enjoy a meal, and the way our request was handled left a negative impression. Hopefully, they can improve both the seating arrangements and the customer service in situations like this.

I generally never eat out except at a traditional restaurant, but yesterday I was off work and my friend and I were headed to Costco. We were starving and thought we'd just do Costco food. He suggested we try Angry Chicks and I was less interested--but I gave in. The first thing that hit me was the person behind the counter was waiting and beaming. It was so refreshing. Then we ordered, and I asked for suggestions so she went through them. I got the combo, without all the bread. I didn't want the slider because I assumed the bread was the usual tough and so would be the chicken. When our meals came I was shocked at how large the portions were, how absolutely incredibly tender the chicken and rice were! The house dressing was really good. It was a pleasant experience and full of value. We both decided that this would be our go-to place for chicken with prices the equivalent of a fast food place but the quality of a nice restaurant. Oh my gaaaaaaawwwwwwwwddddd. I've always loved nashville hot chicken, and when my wife suggested we eat here, I was onboard. I've tried a few other places around here in Southern California, but haven't been able to find a place that serves an actually spicy nashville hot chicken sandwich. My wife ordered the Mild chicken, and I ordered the Hot because it looked like it was in the middle of the scale. 2 levels below "waiver required" seemed spicy enough. I was wrong. I should have gone one level lower. I eat spicy food all the time, but this made me stop in my tracks. You know when you start sweating and certain body parts start puckering? That's what this chicken did to me. I could not finish. So I put it in the fridge and decided to try again the next day. Well...I did. And it was just as hot, if not hotter. I ordered a #3 Combo and it took about 5 minutes to receive my order. The #3 Combo comes with a chicken slider, a chicken tender on a piece of white bread with pickles and a lot of seasoned french fries. There are different levels of HEAT you can order: 1) Country (no heat) 2) Mild ( light heat) 3) Medium ("perfect" heat) 4) Hot (feel the burn) 5) X-Hot (call 911) 6) Angry (sign a waiver) I went with "Hot" and it did not disappoint... it was HOT and SPICY! And I love spicy food... but even this was almost too HOT for me. I can't even imagine going HOTTER. Next time I will order the "Medium"... because I must be going soft in my old age. I went once, wasn't impressed and figured it was new store opening blues. I had the chicken and rice. The chicken had good flavor, and the rice lacked any flavor at all. Yesterday, I had the 2 tenders and fries, but the fries were limp and lukewarm. For 2 small pieces of chicken, I found it to be way overpriced. I was initially told it would be at my house in 20 minutes which is a little slow when I chose ASAP, but that became 30, then 45 minutes. I would have gone and gotten it if I'd known up front the time it would take. Not that anyone could have helped it, with the time it took to get here, but the food was ice cold (like, scary, should I eat this $100 meal, cold).
