We visited the restaurant for their Dungeness Crab Clusters which are our favorite crab dish. They offer several different levels of spice, but the 0 (for wimps) never seems to be available. Their mild level is very spicey and detracts from the flavor of the crab. The crab clusters are not inexpensive and not being able to get them the way you want detracts from the meal. On the other hand the sides are very good, and the price of a glass of wine is reasonable. The wait staff does a good job. We did not have to wait for a booth and there is ample parking. read more

This place always has the best crab. Snow crab is amazing. King crab is amazing. They never screw it up. The oyster shooters are perfect. The charred oysters are always cooked to perfection with delicious bread. The raw oysters are always delicious. They're out of oysters on a regular basis, we are in the middle of desert. They run out because they are that good! Live crawdads could use a different cook time, they're consistently over cooked. Kristen is by far one of the best servers in the industry. Her attention to details and pleasant demeanor is absolutely lovely. The bartender Heather is super fast at whipping up speciality cocktails with a big smile on her face! Disappointed. Last time I'll come to this location! First , I wanted to order a dozen oysters, the waitress stated that they did not have any. We were not even offered to try another appetizer. Second, I wanted to make a substitution on one of my orders to replace head-off shrimp with head-on, the waitress said no substitutions allowed. I said hmm...that's odd, i told her I have been here and other locations in Phoenix before and have always made this substitution. She immediately said would you like to speak with a manager? She didn't even try to resolve at her level. Maybe ask me if I wanted to add the head on shrimp. I ended up just adding it. After that, the waitress proceeds to write down the number of utensils, shell crackers and knives she issued us. I said why are you writing that down? She stated they have been going missing and they were running low. Did they really think we were going to steal them? Anyway, after I ordered, I asked to speak to the Manager AFTER our meal was completed. What happened next? The Manager showed up 30 seconds later and completely ruined the rest of my meal. My wife and kids were really upset. My wife was ready to walk out at this point. The Manager proceeded to pull up a chair and sat at the head of the table. It felt really odd, my wife and kids felt very uncomfortable. The manager proceeded to explain corporate policy and franchises and how it was against policy to make substitutions, He also talked about secret shoppers/diners coming in to make sure they enforced policy. I then asked when was the no substitution policy started because I have always made this substitution with no questions asked! He could not produce a date when this was made policy. Also, the manager stated that this was a cooperate location and to go to a franchised location, they could make substitutions? This didn't make sense, shouldn't all locations be held to the same policies? Drinks came one of the kids cup was leaking. Kids food came, no condiments were ever offered. Our meal came, and the Head-On shrimp I added to the order...there were only 3! So disappointed at this point. No! You Cannot! Against Corporate Policy! Were all we could think of the rest of our lunch. Thanks Mr. Manager for making our lunch memorable! My family did not need a lesson on how your business is ran, your corporate no substitution policy, your secrete shoppers or that you are running low on utensils and have to annotate what utensils are issued. All this just because I wanted to make a substitution I would have happily paid extra for, but nope....That's against corporate policy. Thank you Mr Manager I definitely know that now! SO DISAPPOINTED with this Angry Crab location and the Manager that could not resolve this issue and make a happy customer. But hey corporate policy comes first right? There phone/online service is AWFUL!!!! I had a horrible experience on Mother's Day. I ordered online but they had system issues so it never went through. My mom went to order in person and waited outside in the heat for an hour!!! So tried it again yesterday, ordered online at 4:50 pm. I'm thinking it'll take 30 min MAX. I get a text that it won't be ready until 6:05 pm and I will get a text when it's ready. I called to try to cancel the order but there phone just rings and rings and no one ever answers. So I go at 6:05 and still didn't get a text. I wait in my car until 6:15 and I go in and ask for my order. It was ready!!!! Sitting there AND my it was cold by the ya e I got home so I know it was waiting there forever! Yet I never got a text!!! I order from this location online as I figure it would give enough time for my order and I was given expected times for my order to be ready via text message. The servers are out of sync, it is ridiculous. You do not allow a family to sit and have their meals provided to them at different times. If a party arrives as one orders as one, the entire table should receive their orders within 5-7 minutes of each other. The communication between the kitchen staff and the servers is non-existent, and no one takes responsibility. Then the server (short with red hair) attempts to become agitated with a customer when the customer expresses they no longer want the food ordered because it took over 20 minutes to come out. The bill had already been requested--a very lackluster experience and indeed presented as prejudice. Do better as not only you're in a role of providing service and fail to do so. read more

I recommend to avoid all the appetizers and don't try to buy everything that sounds good on the menu. It can get expensive. My husband and my went yesterday and ordered the seafood boil for two. The boil came with plenty of food and we ate almost all of it. Here's the problem, we ordered it with the trifecta of spices. Literally everything was completely coated and I mean heavily coated with the spice mixture. Made of tasting the seafood almost impossible. The spices were so overwhelming we used napkins to try and wipe it off, it was caked on spice powder. The taste of these spices stayed with you for several hours. We have had seafood boils at home and other places never have we had the food completely coated like this, it was a real turn off. First visit to this venue at the Goodyear location today. The host greeted my wife and completely ignored my presence while placing us on the waiting list. She did a good job informing us that that there were no lobster tails available for the "Mix for two"; however, she offered to "build" us an order that was similar and said it would be cheaper (it wasn't). After taking our drink orders; she returns with the drinks and then informs us that another waitress will help us. The food was delivered shortly after Sabrina's departure; it did not disappoint!
