One word: YUMMMMM. We shared a bag of Feast for Two (or bag for two..? I don't know) that had king crab, snow crab, shrimp, two lobster tails, sausage, potato, and corn. The price was well worth it! I definitely recommend you try the Trifecta sauce- a blend of spices, garlic and butter made by the god Poseidon himself. The restaurant had a great cocktail and beer list, but we asked for custom drinks and the bartender really delivered. Kendrick was a wonderful waiter- very patient during our indecisiveness while choosing drinks and provider of excellent advice when picking our meal. I don't usually write negative reviews... But this is the worst experience I've ever had at any Angry Crab location. I've ordered to go online every so often since this location opened last year... Food was always as described, fresh and delicious... Tonight I decided to order myself a salmon bowl, my son a grilled shrimp bowl, and hush puppies... The only good thing about the meal was the hush puppies ‍both bowls had no veggies (my son has gotten this before and it had veggies!). My lemon pepper sauce was literally just butter no seasoning at all! $40+ for this??? Never again. And I use to also go in when we wanted seafood boil... I'll take my business to the Goodyear, Arcadia, or Mesa locations. Never had an issue at those. read more

We ordered head on shrimp, soft shell crab, calamari, and the charred oysters. All the foods were severely over done. The soft shell is literally black. Beware of this location an employee tried to steal my phone last night. When my husband & I got to our car I had realized I did not have my phone with me. My husband then went back to look for it at our table mind you we were gone for about 2-3 minutes max. My phone was not at the table and my husband asked a waitress if she had seen my phone the waitress said "oh yes a pink one" to which my husband said "yes" the waitress then went to go ask around the other employees. Our waitress that had attended to us while we ate there told my husband that she hadn't seen my phone but would ask around. My husband had called 7 times to which it sent to voicemail so immediately my phone was turned off after leaving the restaurant. My husband came out and we locked the phone he then went back again and asked for the manager & another waitress came towards him handing him my phone of course my husband very upset asked for the manager again and names of our waitress & why the phone was turned off when clearly it was on when we were there. The manager whose name is Raymundo came out & told my husband that no one was trying to steal it & said our waitress put it in the office which was a lie because our waitress had previously already said she did not see the phone. My husband then asked why it was turned off & the manager either trying to cover himself or his employees said no one turned it off that it was off which clearly not true again. At this point my husband was very frustrated because he was not getting any answers from employees or the manager in charge instead excuses. My husband just asked for names and informed them that he would be reporting. The manager in charge is Raymundo our waitress could have been Mary we're not sure but she's tall, thin, pixie cut & speaks Spanish. This is just very unfortunate this was not a case of bad service, or bad food (which by the way it was cold.) this was about THEFT this is a serious matter it's not okay whatsoever & im glad for them turning it in before a police report was filed. I hope the person that intended to steal my phone is embarrassed of their actions all I have to say is do better not only for your peers but for yourself. Came to this location for a to go dinner for my family I usually love Angry Crab shack but this location was very disappointing I ordered two pounds of head off shrimp with corn and eggs I waited about 20 min for my food which was pretty fast but when I got home the 2 pounds of shrimp was head on and definitely overcooked shrimp it was very hard to chew and annoying to peel I also ordered their Cajun fries and if anyone has ever ordered them they are meant to be crispy these were the saggiest fries I've ever had very disappointing read more

I didn't know this place was called the Angry Crab because the service and management is so bad that it literally makes you angry. We were there for 20 minutes or more before we got our drinks, 30 before our order was taken and then they screwed up what goes in whose bag. If I could give zero stars, I would! We asked for the catfish platter noticed it was very mushy and come to find out, they bring us swai.... The waitress (Lexi) says, "well that's basically our catfish" catfish and swai is not the same thing nor do they cook the same. We have her take it back and we order wings. She brings us wings but all on one tray although we ordered separately. The waitress then says, "I don't see what the problem is... do you want me to put a glove on and separate them" she then takes them to the back. The manager is walking by asking tables about their service and we begin to tell them how our service is and waitress comes and take the rest of the food even though we weren't done eating. So the manager then says, "well Arizonians really don't like catfish, they prefer swai" although there was 4 people from Arizona at the table and never heard of such a thing. He then proceeded to educate us that no location serves catfish even though we have had catfish at 2 other locations. The waitress comes back and guess what it on the bill.... "catfish" and wings. We let her know that we want the swai off of the bill since we didn't eat and she says, "well it was just easier to do it this way" NEVER AGAIN! We initially attempted the location in less but they were closed due to staffing shortage. Save your time and money by not coming to this location. read more

The food was good, the server was rude and abrupt. I have been here many times to this location and have never experienced such poor customer service. I asked for a new waiter and the guy who came to our table stated the person serving us had a mental issue as if we should accept that for his poor customer service skills. It's better to order out instead of eat in here. You can tell the service has gone down because it wasn't even busy. Picked up a to-go order from there. First time ordering from this place. My friend got a seafood boil with shrimp, which they were out of the headless shrimp. I ordered a burger with no bun. My burger literally came with just a burger patty with melted cheese, no toppings. No, lettuce, tomato, onion ring, cajun mayo. I will never understand why some places give you just the patty when you say no bun. Very dissapointing. My friend got the trifecta sauce with her shrimp and she said it was very watery, when it's normally a thick sauce. Probably my last time here. Simple order, but made the experience terrible. Where is it ever okay at a restaurant for two people to order the same thing, clam chowder soup at that and some bread and one gets served before the other. Not just a minute or two or even five minutes apart ....my daughter got her food and the waitress said about two minutes and we'll have the other bowl.... Waited at least 15-20 more minutes after she ate her food for them to finally bring my bowl with no way to make up for the fact that we had the same simple order but were served 20 mins apart and then told by the manager unfortunately she had no way to make this right.... Couldn't think of one but then asks me if I can then let her know of how she can fix it , HOW DARE YOU , and your right you don't have a Time Machine "as the manager said to us" ( the manager with purple hair was on duty) she had no accountability for the mess up, she didnt even attempt to make up for the shitty service and lack of empathy towards this situation. Good service. Only issue is the waiters and waitresses seem to play around too much. I get the job should be fun but if I'm eating food that's spicy, I shouldn't have to wait 10-15 minutes for water. We were welcomed in by Elijah. He kindly escorted us to a booth which is what I requested. We were there attending a birthday celebration for a family member with 25 others expected later. The staff was so energetic and happy. Our server was Amber. She was WONDERFUL!!! We ordered sweet potato fries to start. They were crispy and hot, EXACTLY how I like them. By now, the other 25 were arriving. They don't accept reservations, However they quickly arranged seating for all 25 guests. I vaguely remember eating "Queen" crab legs in the past. Amber explained they were sweet and larger than snow and smaller than king but delicious and has an outer shell like king crab but not as prickly. I ordered "Queen" crab legs and my husband ordered snow. MY GOSH THEY WERE EXACTLY AS AMBER DESCRIBED!! So very meaty, sweet and hot. Wowww my new favorite crab. Amber and her staff joined in to celebrate my nieces birthday. Everyone else was served at the same time with a variety of menu items including shrimp, sausage, corn, and yes crab. I met Christopher, the Manager who was just as pleasant! I live many miles away from this Angry Crab Shack and with freeway closures and construction it took awhile to get there. I've been to Ahwatukee, Indian School, and Mesa several times. This by far has the the best food, customer service, friendly staff, fun environment, and accommodations for large groups. Amber, thank you, thank you for one of the absolute BEST dining experiences I've had at any Angry Crab Shack and a few other restaurants by far. I will DEFINITELY be back. I went with my family and two of us got the soft shell crab. The Waiter explained what it was and said it was a good option, but when we got it that was not the case. I'm not sure if it was a bad batch but it immediately made two of us sick and we returned it. The waiter then told us he did not personally like it, so then we asked why he recommended it if he knew it was not a good option. Those who got catfish said it was good. I was really happy to see that this spot had finally opened up in laveen instead of having to go to hot n juicy at west gate. we decided to have our order door dashed on a week night . Our order consisted of head on shrimp (trifecta, hot), head off shrimp (trifecta, hottest flavor) and Cajun fries. The food arrived hot and was really good. The flavors were good and fries were crispy and it all came with a bag of lemons and the salt/ pepper mix to dip the shrimp in. The only downfall to the food was that the sauce the shrimp was in was really oily other than that the flavor to all the food was great. If you love spicy food the highest level of spice is for you it's worth paying to get it extra spicy. We will definitely be eating here again read more

If I could give this establishment a negative 5 stars I would! They were quick to sit us which was amazing seeing that I had a party of 10. Took about 10 mins to get drinks going. Took another 40 mins to get meals ordered. Drinks went empty and it took about another 10 mins or so to get a refill. The waitress we had was not attentive what so ever. When the meals arrived, chicken tenders were hard like as if they were over cooked! 8 members of my family had their complete meals. While myself and my partner watched our family eat. Our family was just about finished reached out to a manger to ask what was going on with our meal explained that there should be no reason as to why we should be sitting there watching our family eat. At this point there was no need for our meal as everyone was already complete with theirs and we'd be cancelling our meal. We wait about 20 mins for our bill. Followed by that 10 mins for them to bring our cards back. This establishment for sure needs to pick up the pace and train their employees to be just a little bit more attentive to customers. Just observing the employees they seem to be chatting with one another and laughing. This is a place of business not your social hour for the next couple of hours or however long you work. I get it the establishment is busy I get it there is a lot going on different tables etc. But, be on top of things. If you can't check in with your tables and get them refills or even status updates on orders. Please rethink the line of work that your in. Wont be referring this location to anyone in the future unless they are okay slow terrible service. read more
