I ordered a margarita and it tasted like 98% mixer therefore, I requested an extra shot to make my drink worth while. Heat gauge was a little confusing though. The heat gauges from 1-6. We ordered a four which is usually not AS hot (as I'm from the south and it never is). Usually we can handle heat. We love raw habaneros and Thai chili peppers in our food however, this was on the scorpion pepper level (hotter than ghost). Not sure if they were annoyed I had to ask for a shot because the drink tasted like juice or what but be careful on the heat gauge. If you really like spicy but want to enjoy it, don't go past 3, I would assume. Four would usually be good but this experience had me hallucinating from the heat. This is the second time we've been and it's been amazing both times! I'm so glad to have more variety and options in Yuma! Each time they were easily able to accommodate our larger parties and we received exceptional service both times. We've tried the Cajun fries with attitude and lobster crostini appetizers (both 5 stars!) and then did the shrimp, king crab, Dungeness crab, blue mussels, and crawfish boils. We also added in corn, sausage, veggies, and potatoes into our bags. Everyone loved the potatoes and corn, the veggies and sausages got somewhat mixed reviews. The main reason this gets a one star is our drinks came out in plastic single use cups. Not acceptable at a sit down restaurant. It's 2019, please stop with the dang plastic. Came here a few nights for my anniversary. We absolutely loved the food but wow was service terrible. Our server didn't tell us his name or greet us, just seemed like he wanted us gone. He had an attitude the entire time and gave really crappy service. He forgot everything for our boils and snapped back when we asked for the items he forgot. This place is crackalackin, I have eaten at Joe's Crab Shack, Crack'in Crab, and a few more crab shops and this place put them all to shame. The crab is fresh, the shrimp is plump, and corn on the cob is off the hook. Service was good and food delicious. I is pricey though, 125.00 for two but well worth it. We've been three times since opening. I will say that the head-off shrimp is TO DIE FOR. I think I will make sure to always get that. We ordered snow crab for $24/lb and received a cluster and a half. That seems like a very small amount considering the crawfish serving was WAY bigger. Customer service was rough the first time going. Also the last time we went I waited over 5 minutes to get my card back after paying, so that is the only reason it's not five stars. read more

Visited Angry Crab Shack last night. Went the first time when they first opened, and of course it was packed, but our server was friendly, professional, and took everything in stride. Went again yesterday to take some friends from out of town. Even with COVID, they were so professional, friendly, and took extra measures for our safety and theirs. First time here I had the gator nuggets and I can't say that they had much of a taste to them. The meat looked like some type of fish creature but the flavor of chicken which is nothing except for the seasonings on the breading. Overall, I think it was too salty along with the fries. I have owned and operated all phases of 2 restaurants. I have visited this Yuma, AZ location 4 times. My family and I arrived at 5 pm. Moderately busy, there were customers waiting, and takeout orders waiting. It took about 20 -25 to be seated, we were told 10 -15 min wait. There were about 1/2 tables seated, not enough servers. So, we waited for server to approach, and waited for drinks, and waited for order to be taken, and waited more for food. Soup and salad arrived at about 5:40. At 6:30 first dish was served, another 15 mins, second meal was served 15 mins later, and by 7 pm I finally got my meal. A simple bowl of rice, vegs, and 6 grilled shrimp. NONE of the food, and especially the service was worth $95.52 for 3 customers. Our waitress was very nice but overwhelmed. Her name was Justice. I was anxious to try this place because I love seafood. The inside of the restaurant is fairly nice looking. The floor trembles constantly though, and feels weird. The restaurant is VERY noisy. The servers and staff yell, bang on things and play a siren for people's birthdays or other reasons. Some of the guests were college-aged people and were also loud and using a lot of profanity. Our waitress Hannah was very friendly. I can't complain at all about the way she treated us or took our orders. She was great. Honestly the best part of our experience. However, the food started coming out one thing at a time and other waiters who were bringing us things seemed confused and gave the wrong food to the wrong people in our party. One of us had onion rings as a side and others had them with their meals. So we ended up short one order. They also seemed to forget a few orders. Some people were almost done eating as others were just getting their food. The food itself was ok. I just got a po boy with crispy shrimp. The sandwich was very dry. The shrimp inside was good but a little bland. The onion rings were ok but the ranch they gave me with them was watery and not great. I wanted to get crab but the prices seemed high and the way they serve it in a bag looked too messy for me. I know that's the style but I'm just not into that very much.
