Have ordered in the past and the kitchen entrees were all amazing the udon is perfect. Tonight however wad a disappointment. Ordered shrimp tempura and Boston roll for the kids. The sauce that was it was horrible and made it inedible. I've never had a Boston roll with brown sauce ( eel sauce I assume but the worst I've ever had) . Most Boston rolls come with mayo. The rest of the food was good . This will be a place I frequent for soup not sushi. read more

Best sushi place around! My favorite is the Volcano Roll, but really not sure if you can go wrong with anything you order here. I drive almost 49 minutes to get here so I can have the GREAT sushi I crave. Definitely recommend to anyone. read more

This place has really nice sushi. I stopped here for lunch. I had a lunch combo of two rolls with miso soup. The miso soup was pretty standard. The rolls I tried were tuna avocado and yellow fin. They were both great. Very fresh tasting fish. The service was very attentive. read more

We made it out despite the freezing cold rain and the horrible iPhone map that took us right past the restaurant into a neighborhood. So when we finally got to the restaurant I was irritated and starving. Or hangry, if you will. I wanted a little of everything and the menu did not disappoint. I started out with the calamari and a cup of hot green tea. The calamari was perfectly fried and the dipping sauce I was delicious. Next came the spicy tuna tatake on the cucumber salad. So fresh it practically melts in your mouth. And finally the Christmas roll is to die for. We had both the pineapple and lychee sake served with lunch. I've never had cold sake, but it was definitely good. I can't wait to go back for the Spicy City roll. Had a piece and regretted not ordering. read more

Everything was delicious and fresh however the serving sizes are too small and a little but over priced. We got the tuna tataki with watermelon, seaweed salad, shrimp and scallop teriyaki and the crazy ann role. Amazing rolls. We had the Tiger Roll, Ang's Crazy Roll (gorgeous plate and taste fantastic) and the Seafood Naruto roll (so beautifully plated it was almost too pretty to eat but tasted even better than it looked. App servings are small but very good. The interior all the way to the bathroom are very nice and upscale. The kids loved the yakisoba and tuna roll. This place should be way busier than they are. I decided to check this place out over lunch. It was empty when I arrived, but three people came in quickly behind me who were clearly regulars. The service was great, especially for a quick lunch. I ordered the lunch special with two rolls and the Miso soup then added my own salad. The salad was great, and the soup was okay (worth eating, but I've had better). I really enjoyed the sushi, but I felt like it lacked a little flavor. I will admit, I went with basic rolls on the lunch menu. GO HERE FOR GREAT SUSHI! I moved to Chesapeake last summer and am so happy to have found this place. I have become a regular here and for good reason. The service is always great, the atmosphere is nice, the restaurant is clean, but most importantly the food is AMAZING! It's so affordable for a sushi place of this caliber too. It's not a dingy all you can eat place with terrible service. I am a huge fan of the Salmon Carpaccio, Tuna Cocktail, and the Spicy Girl roll, but seriously everything I've ever had is great. I don't live in the VA Beach area, but whenever I'm in town visiting friends or family, Ang's Sushi Bistro has become a "must" food stop. We were recently in town for Labor Day weekend and my wife and I ended up going twice in one weekend! Start with the Hot Oil Tuna. The Agedashi Tofu is also very good. Great crust on the tofu and perfect balance on the broth. Personally, I think the quality of a sushi restaurant is not in how good their special rolls are. Instead, I think it's in the quality of their regular sushi and sashimi. There's no way to hide the quality of the fish when you have it served clean and simple. Having said that, the quality of the sushi at Ang's is impeccable. I got the sushi and sashimi dinner special and I was happy with everything on the plate. I'm from the DC area and for the same quality and service you get from Ang's, you'd be paying up to twice as much in the DC area! This is a bargain! read more

First visit to Ang's and not too impressed. It was just okay. Sushi was fresh but pieces were kind of small. I had to order 2 more rolls just to feel somewhat full. I'm not a fan of the white pickled ginger. Ordered the chicken yakisoba and it was not very good. I've had yakisoba in Japan and Ang's did not even compare. Also, never got the miso soup that was supposed to come with the yakisoba meal. The gyoza wasn't bad either but not really worth the money. Bottom line, I won't be in a hurry to go back but don't regret going there to try it out. read more

Nice clean place. The waitress wasn't very enthusiastic, there was only one other family in there. As the course of the meal went on, we constantly had tonask for plates, utensils and napkins. Sushi was fresh, very well made and taste very good. Other than the food the service was subpar. Might of been an off night but expected better service from a sushi restaurant.
