If you come to Corning go to Aniellos on Main Street. It is an excellent pizzeria with a good selection, hot sandwiches, and great salads. The staff is incredibly friendly and the bring your food to your table just by sight when you order (no waitresses or table numbers). The decor is simple, but perfecting fitting for a pizza place with walls covered in historical family photos. While it was very busy (a tribute to how great a restaurant it is), the wait was acceptably short and our food arrived hot from the oven. I ordered a pepperoni and sausage pizza and my wife had a chicken Caesar salads with garlic knots. The food was incredible. The salad was robust and the garlic knots came with marinara and light pool of garlic butter. They were, soft, yeasty, yummy and tasted a bit like pretzel. I wasn't sure if that was the intent but the knots were good regardless. Aniello's is kinda loud but not overbearing. Neither my wife nor I have great hearing and we could still get talk over the background noise. Overall the food was great, the restaurant fun to dine in, and I would definitely recommend it to all. One caveat (a small one) the pizza is sliced very large, I'd recommend having them cut it smaller especially if you have kiddos. If you're visiting Corning, go to Aniello's Pizzeria. I wasn't impressed with this pizza at all. Maybe I'm a snob coming from NY? This pizza was not good. It looked way better on Yelp. It looked thin and perfect cheese to sauce ratio but that wasn't the case. Cheese was falling off. Sauce was peppery Crust was pretty hard and thick Granted- it was jam packed! A comfortable and cozy restaurant, even with the doors opening and closing regularly because of how much business they get. The food is simply great--the pizza sauce is perfect for me, a balance of sweet and savory. The pizza has a lot of cheese, which makes it a bit greasy, but still delicious. This was a very good pizza place! We ordered a large, half special and half vegetable. The special had various meats in a red sauce and the veggie pay had different kinds of vegetables also on a red sauce. The meat one had a lot of flavor and was quite impressive. The veggie side... Not so much. It lacked taste(I think this was from the lack of meat so there wasn't much else to add flavor to it). The crust was by far my favorite part. I personally like thin crust that is nice and crisp(but not burnt) and aniello's did wonderfully on it. They make each pizza to order so wait can be long. For us, it took around 30 minutes. The staff and customer service experience was not great. We stood at the register for 5 minutes waiting for someone to help us, but other than that, a great pizza place! read more

We have eaten here two or three times since moving into the area. It is a large place with great, friendly staff. They do have table service and we were sat upstairs. Our orders were taken promptly and we just had salads and slices of pizza. The pizza was nice and hot, but honestly nothing spectacular. The salads were disappointing with just lettuce, tomato, a slice of cucumber and lots of hard croutons. I was surprised at how expensive it was once the bill came. Where do you go when it's late at night and you're stomach is demanding pizza? You go to Aniello's, that's if you're nearby. That's what I did when I just finished hiking for 11 hours straight on the West Rim Trail. I found Aniello's on Yelp and all he reviews said it was the best in the area so I headed for Aniello's. I arrived around 10:00pm and ordered two sausage rolls and a half Sicilian pizza. After hiking for 11 hours (10 hours the day before) in probably wasn't thinking very well because it didn't occur to me that Aniello's Sicilian would be different from the Sicilian pizza I have every Friday night, but it was totally different. I'm not a fan of raised crust pizza but this was good. What impressed me more was the sausage rolls. The meat is spicy, hot, and flavorful. Their marinara sauce is sweet and tangy. I could have eaten just the sausage rolls and it would have been worth the visit. The service at Aniello's is above par. They keep the establishment super clean. They employees are engaging and friendly. While I was there someone was a little playful and knocked over a few glasses of pop. The employee responded quickly to the spill and with a smile cleaned up the mess. If I'm ever back I will definitely eat at Aniello's pizza read more

Hands down the best pizza in the Corning area. We are a frequent customer. Love the sausage rolls as well. The Italian sausage they use in the rolls and on the pizza is incredibly tasty. My only issue and the reason for the loss of a star is I've noticed that the consistency tends to vary sometimes. One time had a sausage roll where the dough was a bit undercooked on the bottom (ie still raw and stretchy) and another time the pizza was left a bit to long in the oven and resulted in a few dark spots on the crust and bottom. Same with toppings, the last pizza we got all of the toppings seemed to simply be piled in the middle and not spread out evenly. So they could use a bit of work on consistency but taste is second to none and I would definitely recommend checking them out! Love too that they're open late. read more

This is a really good family run restaurant with very good food, friendly service, and just a nice overall vibe. Everything we ordered was delicious. Being from Long Island, we set the "pizza bar" pretty high and their pizza definitely made the cut. All the dishes were homemade and based upon our conversation with the waitress, someone in their family's recipe. Even the "non-Italian" food was good as their burgers were really nice and I had the best grilled chicken caesar salad ever. Gluten free vs Large Plain The pizza was excellent. We got a large plain pie and a gluten free pie (there was only one size for the gluten free pie). Both were excellent - maybe a touch too salty for our tastes, but the spices in the sauce were super good and the crust (for the large pie) was really good - crispy, not doughy, not hard. Most of the food I get from Aniello's is really good. There are a couple of problems though. Once in a while the pizza crust reeks of bleach so bad that I can't even stand to eat it. I especially love their salads. Unfortunately, The person making the salad piles on the white and yellow lettuce core and then covers it up with a little bit of green lettuce with less meat & cheese than you used to get. I throw away half of my salad because it is disgusting. I would rather pay more and have the quality be like it used to be, rather than receive a skimpy unfit pile of yellow lettuce. read more

I've loved pizza my whole long life. I've had pizza in 12 different countries and 38 states. This place is the best. In contrast to me, my wife is not nearly as big a pizza fan as I am.
