I have been going here for almost 10 years now. I used to go all the time when I was in high school around here. They were one of the first spots to master gluten free wraps and food. I love their choices and it's so great seeing them grow over the years. I was able to check them out again today. My wife and I stopped in for lunch today. Everything prepared and served here is organic. No artificial stuff! Smoothies and fresh made juice and juice blends carry the load here. The other part of the equation are the burritos. You can do a bowl or the traditional burrito. There are two sizes, large and regular. Salads and soups are also available. We both had Chicken Burrito Bowls. My wife had the regular size and I had the large size. We also both had the Green Lemon Aid (Apple & Lemon and Animo Greens). You build your burrito or bowl from the menu. There are several options to choose from. If you have never been here, the staff is helpful and will get you going in the right direction. The restaurant is not overly large, as far as space. It is adequate, the grill/prep area is at the rear. The seating area is in the middle and front portion. There is ample space between seats. You arent so close that you are sitting on top of people at the next table. It can get crowded. It seemed like patrons cycled through fast enough not to create a backlog waiting for seating to dine. There is a small seating area curbside in front of this establishment. Parking on the main street is hit and miss, I would suggest parking on a side street or one of the nearby parking lots. My favorite local spot to get my juice fix when I can't get over to the city. They do everything from fresh juice, to salads, burritos, burrito bowls, smoothies, and my favorite acai bowls. I've tried everything here but I am a big fan of the acai bowls and the smoothies. Super accommodating when it comes to the smoothies as sometimes I am really watching my nutrition/calories and need more, less, or none of an item in the smoothie. Wide selection when it comes to the smoothies from fruit to more of a protein focus, in between combos and they offer dairy and non dairy. Acai bowls are good and they even offer new different ones - just tried one the other week with blue majik a powder superfood extract from spirulina which is what I found online - can't really say much else about it other than it's "good for you" and makes your meal blue, LOL. read more

I got the Beast Mode blended bowl and a shot of Wheatgrass. The bowl was not skimp, whatsoever. It was very fresh and absolutely delicious. Prices were very reasonable for the quality and amount of food. I will definitely be returning to try out more of the menu! One of my go to's almost every single time is the lime light juice and a ginger shot. If you love a nice kick definitely try the ginger shot! It burns so good. On a whim, I swung by Animo Juice on a recent Saturday, and I walked away stupefied that I had never set foot in the place before. I had passed by the storefront dozens of times, but like many of the shops and eateries in Haddonfield, I saw Animo as just another part of the scenery during one of my many runs or walks through the neighborhood. Not anymore. From my first sip of the Pura Vida, a medley of fresh apple, carrot, strawberry and kiwi juices, I was hooked. Then I stole a bite of a cheese and bean petito (a smaller burrito, perfect for lunch or a snack) and I was hooked double-time. I've been back more than a couple times in the past couple weeks as I feel like I need to make up for lost time. My boyfriend thinks I'm going to burn out but I'm not so sure - there aren't many places around that pack all-natural, fresh, organic ingredients into everything on the menu. Eating here just feels good... and if the friendly staff members think it odd that I'm showing up every other day, they don't let on. Props. Ahhhhh the concept of a fresh, natural, organic food place. Love it, want to support it! Alas... I can't give 5 stars. Got to work on the service! Upsides: fabulous juice & smoothies, natural/organic food options. Downsides: the shop has a strange, narrow setup, which, I get is a natural limitation of the space, but, the way the shop is set up, the main seating area is in the back - and without windows, it's claustrophobic & crowded. The seating should be in the FRONT, kitchen in the back. Along the bar there are a few high tables, but that puts you right in the face of people placing (errrr, shouting) their orders. Which brings us to downside 2: the radio was turned up SO LOUD to talk radio/commercials/sports game that we couldn't hear ourselves think at our table and folks placing their orders were literally shouting over the din!!! The cashier would say "what? WHAT?" with ever-increasing volume/irritation. All they had to do was turn down the radio a bit, then customers don't need to yell, and the cashier wouldn't get annoyed with the customers for not being loud enough. THINK, McFly! And downside 3 - SLOW service. We only ordered 2 juices, with only 2 people waiting ahead of us. We waited 15 minutes AFTER placing our order due to the kids behind the counter chatting it up - with each other & with customers - and not getting much done. Note to the owners: while we were there, a customer brought a dog INSIDE the restaurant. He was on a leash, not in arms, and NOT a service dog. One employee stopped working, came around the counter, chatted w/the customer, & patted the dog. She did wash her hands before returning to work, but YUCK! Dogs do NOT belong in eating facilities. You might pay teenagers less to work, but that doesn't mean you should train them less. This space is suffering from a definitive lack in customer service/basic store management. read more

I looked through the menu and decided on a large "Hydrate me" and a large "Green ginger". These juices came out remarkably fast, and were fresh and delicious! I stopped by Animo to grab a quick juice while I was in Haddonfield. I hadn't been here since it opened and it definitely has been improved and they have stepped up their game. There are juices, burritos and frozen banana combinations so pretty much something for everyone. I only bought an Animo MD juice and it was good - similar to what I make at home but much more convenient. Also much more expensive at almost $7.00 but worth it when you're looking to have a juice and not some junk food... I gave it a 3 star rating because while there were about 4 or 5 people working behind the counter, service was slow. After I ordered, three girls walked in after me and all three of them ended up receiving their respective juices before I was handed mine - which was just a glass of Amino MD juice to go. I realize that they were definitely much cuter and way younger than me; so I understand that the juice guy was naturally drawn to them - but they lost a star to service on that one. The food smelled good but due to the lackluster reception they gave to any customer who wasn't a peer of the counter crew (so customers 28 and older); I'm not going to make an attempt to get back there anytime soon. Whenever I'm in a jam for a meal in Haddonfield, Animo is my go-to for a fresh, quick meal. The store recently moved just a block to two away, a couple doors down from Starbucks. The new location seems a little more cozy if you are going to sit down and eat in. I've had various incarnations of some of the burritos, bowls, and salads and everything is always fresh and tasty. The burritos are pretty big and stuffed, very filling, so lately I've been opting more for bowls. The Nutty Honey B makes a delicious post-run breakfast, and I can't get enough of the Frozen Banana Custard (formally called the Chilly Gorilla) with any of its various toppings. When I was in there last time, I noticed that they had changed their menu. Their burrito/bowl menu is much simpler, with more emphasis on building your own meal, with only a few specialty burrito suggestions. I was quite pleased to see that they finally added some oatmeal to their breakfast menu, with various toppings to add on. I actually haven't tried any of their juices or smoothies, but I am keeping it in mind for the next time I'm in town and need an afternoon pick-me-up. Having a sweet tooth, the only think I wish they'd offer were some vegan options along with their other delicious-looking baked goods. I've been a loyal customer of Animo Juice (and everyone I know loved them too), frequently ordering food here and one of the things I really love from them is their soup. So I emailed them to ask when they were getting soup and I was told they were going to try again on Monday. Which I was excited about and come Monday, I went to place an order for soup through Grubhub. It gave me an error message and said that This restaurant can't complete orders right now. Please try again later or choose another restaurant. so I thought I'd call Animo and let them know something was wrong with their ordering system through Grubhub. The person who answered said that it was probably something I was ordering was out of stock (it was not because I tested it after the phone call and added a salad and it still gave me that error) and when I told her it was soup, she said that in order to fix it they would have to call Grubhub and that would be too much of a hassle. I then asked if I could add something else of equal value and say I wanted soup instead, and they said no. I don't make complaints here very often (other than getting a refund from grubhub when they forget the extra dressing I paid for pretty much every time) and usually only ask a question about when they're bringing back soup so the fact that the first time I have a legit problem/complaint and I get 100% apathy kind of ruined my appetite for Animo. As much as I enjoy their soup, I think even after they fix whatever is wrong with their connection to Grubhub, I'm uncertain when or if I will be back. Like I said, after that rude call (I've never had a restaurant tell me they'd rather leave something broken than call Grubhub care), I added something other than soup and got the same error. I guess Animo just doesn't care. Edit: I would also like to note that the woman I was talking to was speaking to someone else (either a coworker or manager, who can say) and this person was telling her what to say. I don't mind spending a little extra for quality food but in this case, I feel like I'm being ripped off. Ordered the tahini Caesar salad and a whipped banana with chocolate tahini. Kale salad was small and the "roasted" chick peas were mushy. The whipped banana was tasty and enough for 2 people to share but the amount of chocolate tahini on top was minuscule. 75 cents for less than a tablespoon?
