Great restaurant!! We were visiting Santa Fe and wanted some good vegetarian food and we found it here! The environment was calming and nice! They had a lady reading tarot in the back of the restaurant. I ordered the falafel wrap with a vegan tortilla and fries. They make their own ketchup. They also offer vegan dipping sauces like chipotle and garlic mayo. My partner ordered the veggie burger with fries and it was delicious. We also ordered veggie samosas and it was excellent! You can tell that the food is made with love. You order at the counter and wait for your food to be delivered. It was prompt and the staff was friendly. Prices were reasonable. This was definitely a nice surprise for a vegetarian visiting Santa Fe! We will probably return it once again before we leave. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I love food and never have I been to a place where I've ordered food and refused to eat. I'm an Indian person who understands good quality Indian food and this place should be shut down. The dosa was undercooked. The frankie was a disgrace and the vegetable entrees was bland and tasteless. I read that monks come and enjoy this cuisine and they must be high on weed if they enjoy this crap. The menu is large and has the same items as their original Albuquerque location, but the food here is not consistent at all. Three weeks ago I ordered the Malasian stir fry bowl in Albuquerque and was very satisfied, actually blown away by how great it was. Then I ordered it again in Santa Fe this week, and it was bland, carelessly tossed together and missing the robust flavors I tasted weeks earlier at their original location. I used to come for lunch here in Santa Fe regularly and found the food to be sometimes remarkable and other times disappointing. My partner and I celebrated a year together with a trip to Santa Fe. We were concerned about finding tasty vegan food on our journey, but Annapurna was a jewel of a find. We ate there 3 times in as many days. We tried other vegan food in the area and kept coming back for Annapurna. The vegan bacon is incredible, the breakfast burritos... We still miss those breakfast burritos. The variety of breads and desserts... We were so happy. The atmosphere and decor was very comfortable. The owner is very friendly and chatty. We just loved this place. We will definitely go back on our next foray into Santa Fe. We may even journey back to just get some of this food. Even living in Boulder, we haven't found a restaurant we enjoy nearly as much as we did this one. Oh. And get their rewards card. We filled it up and used the discount once while we were there. Loved the concept but sadly this was the worst Indian food I've ever had. I LOVE saag paneer and they ruined it. How can you have indian food with no flavor? And when I asked for hot sauce they charge you for it. Who charges for hot sauce? Note that I had the northern Indian sampler. Perhaps their other food was better? We love the food! It felt clean and fresh and it wasn't over cooked. The food has a high vibration that goes beyond normal nourishment. There are also yummy desserts that don't have excess sugar. We highly recommend you go here the food is very healthy. Try going vegan one day a week! read more

One of my most favorite places & a frequent customer yet yesterday I picked up a dozen cookies (jamming & sesame/coconut) for an event & it seems the recipe has changed...no longer the amazing cookies that were flavorful, dense & crisp with great texture.....these were soft, very dry & powdery texture. So much good stuff happening in this place! Large menu with a great selection of several types of cuisine. I was instantly drawn to the bakery case when we walked in. So many choices and all but one was vegan. The soy chai is delicious. It comes in a little mug (6-8oz?), but you get a free refill. The chocolate almond biscotti was very good. Crumbly and gigantic. Big enough to share for sure. It wasn't super hard like a more traditional biscotti, but that made it better in my opinion. It wasn't too sweet and I loved that. For our meals we ordered the South Indian Platter and the Chef's Plate, which was a grilled veggie sandwich with pesto and feta that came with a cup of beet soup. Beets are already a favourite food of mine so I love the soup. But even my non beet loving husband enjoyed it as well. There are several other restaurants I want to try while we are in Santa Fe, but right now all I want to do is go back to Annapurna's for dinner. I give it all the stars. read more

This was a good place to eat. The young lady who helped us was very sweet and answered all of our questions. The food was a little different of a style than were used to but still good. They have a great variety as well. Loved that they had vegetarian and vegan options. The one issue I had was I had gone up and asked for something and the women I presume to be the owner was bossing the staff around. I didn't like that especially in front of customers. She seemed like a nice lady other than that but just didn't sit well with me. Other than that everything was just fine. read more

This was my first time to Santa Fe and Albuquerque where they have multiple locations. I had the portobello mushroom wrap in the doma. It was so good that I ordered one for the flight home as well. NEW LOCATION: Not on W. Alameda anymore. Now located in that strip mall next to the SF University of Art & Design (formerly College of Santa Fe.) That the owners haven't updated the address here shows you how much they care. I have been here twice; both times, my wife and I said "never again." It's not that the food is BAD, it's just relatively flavorless. The Indian food doesn't really have the spices and flavors you'd get at the Indian restaurant 3 blocks away. The service, however, WAS bad, and my visits were 2 years apart. I suspect tips are pooled, which always guarantees bad service. Sort of snooty counter staff. The last time, each person's, in our party of 4, was brought at separate times, so that one person was done eating when the last had just started. THAT'S BASIC KITCHEN MANAGEMENT. If you can't get the timing right, you don't really have a restaurant...more of a snack stand. There are better vegetarian and Indian choices in town. In fact, Santa Fe has two of the best Indian restaurants I've tasted. Also, Jambo Cafe, 2 blocks away near Office Depot, has flavorful veggie selections with Carribean and African spices...and the best soup in town. So, steer clear of here and go try the others. Maybe one day the owners will check Yelp and realize that all is not well at their little restaurant. read more

This place is horrible. It's not authentic Indian food and it certainly isn't Ayurvedic. If I'm not mistaken, the temperature food is served at is important with Ayurveda. Well, our pathetic excuse for Saag Paneer was almost cold... tepid. It was like a cold spinach soup, with 3 pieces of cheese, and it tasted like frozen spinach that had been thrown into a blender with a few spices. It was watery and gross. our Shepard's Pie was so hot we couldn't start on it for 5 minutes, but it at least tasted decent. The food here is a miserable attempt at Indian food, it's over priced and a waste of money. I don't understand why this place is popular... have people in Santa Fe never had real Indian food elsewhere? read more

I had a great experience here during a recent stay in Santa Fe. I went for breakfast and had a coconut cardamom pancake that was delicious. The serving was large enough that I only ate half.... normally I'd polish off my pancakes. The food is good, but not for a student's budget. The managers keep the tips until the counter person has been working there for 30 days! So if you're a regular keep your tips until you've seen the same person working the counter for over a month-- otherwise it just goes into the pockets of the owners. 2) The food is overpriced. How can one little ball of mushed up dates cost 4 bucks? Absurd and tasted awful! 3) Rude management. You must pay 2 dollars for a side of ketchup. This place is an utter joke. Came here traveling through and because we are vegan and the reviews were great! Service was horrible! You walk in and have to rush through the menu and then order them sit down. Which was extremely hard with two kids. I order the veggie burger which was far from bearable to even stomach because the bread was extremely hard the only thing that was good was the fries. So all in all spent $25 on 10 fries. My kids order the pizza which was cooked all the way, I told the waiter and the cook was yelling in back. My children and myself just left. Never been to a restaurant with such poor customer service. read more
