Masala Dosa tasted great! Tho small for $16.
    Hope N.

I enjoyed the masala dosa (basically a vegetable samosa) in an Indian wrap (like a spongey, flavorful tortilla, but thicker). I had the date chutney which tasted similar to tamarind chutneys I've had before. They need to give larger portions of their sauces. It came in a TINY plastic container. Also they need to make it easy to add sauces on the side. They had no way to order an extra sauce for my side of fried falafel balls, which tasted good but consisted of only 3 small (1-inch) balls for over $5! No sauce was offered with that and I couldn't even order any on the side. Also this place has no tzatziki or any kind of yogurt sauce or hummus - just a garlic sauce but I have no idea what that is and they don't say on their menu. So while it was good, I was a bit disappointed. Tho the dal soup was fresh and flavorful, full of ginger, tho lukewarm. Not their fault since it was DoorDash.

Breakfast Burrito with tofu and red sauce
    Jeffrey C.

While researching veggie burritos he found this place. We are so glad he did. We each had the breakfast burritos with tofu. Mine was with red sauce and his with green sauce. Both were amazing but the green sauce one was slightly better. I washed my down with a mango lassi tea. It was refreshing and different. I am not known for trying bold flavored things like that. I tend to stick to just black tea. But this stuff was amazing. At the end we shared a carrot cupcake. I believe they are gluten free and surprisingly didn't taste too sweet. The staff were amazing talking us through the menu. The prices were great and the place was clean and inviting and has a small outside patio area. We can't wait to come back and try more vegan options on the menu.

This is my go-to spot for the BEST falafels!! My favorite dish (and there are many) is the Mediterranean bowl. Their dosa's are incredible, and gluten free! The cilantro lime sauce is CRACK!!! The chai drinks are scrumptious! This is a great spot for breakfast lunch or dinner or even a sweet treat with a friend! Enjoy!!

Came back for brunch: Delicious Avocado Toast (although portion was a little on the small side), super tasty Quesadilla, topped off with cardamom pancakes. Free refill on their lovely Chai.

Yogi bowl with basmati rice and a cup of sambhar
    Matt L.

Why the low ratings? This place is exactly what I expected! Aging hippie fare, which, in the middle of a long hiking trip with lots of roadside tex-mex, is quite a fine thing. I ordered the Yogi bowl with the requisite two veggies and basmati rice. At first, it was a bit bland, so I added on a sambar hot sauce, and that made it grand. The sambhar was a tangy treat on a cold night in Santa Fe. Good, fast service.

This place is fantastic. It looks a little rough but the food, even as a non-vegetarian customer, warrants an easy 5/5. Give them a shot!

I stopped by Revolution Bakery about an hour before closing and unfortunately they were all out of bread - but that's to be expected around closing time. I ended up getting a breakfast bar that contained egg and green chile and a personal-sized cherry chocolate bread pudding. There weren't prices posted which I hate. Please put prices on the case. Those two items together were $14.58!!! Unfortunately I wasn't offered a receipt so I'm not exactly sure the breakdown of the price of each item. Seating was only available outside of the bakery as it is a very small operation, which is fine. As someone from out of town, I didn't have a kitchen or anything, plus I wanted to eat the breakfast bar immediately. I wasn't asked if I wanted the food warmed up and just assumed they would be room temperature, which is fine. Unfortunately the breakfast bar was ice cold. I definitely didn't enjoy eating ice cold hard boiled egg in the breakfast bar. It was so disappointing that at this price point, there just wasn't care from the staff to even warn me that the breakfast bar needed to basically thaw before being eaten. Prices need to be displayed and receipts offered by staff automatically, prices are one-off treat level, not affordable enough to be a weekly option for a celiac and lastly, food should be offered to be warmed up if they're going into the case frozen or refrigerated. It sounded good, so we decided to check it out. It's a little hard to find as it sits behind another building. You have to kind of go around the block to get there. There is a parking lot in front, but it is confusing where you can park (there are signs about not parking for some establishments and only for some businesses, so it's really not clear). We wound up asking in the restaurant and it was fine. The place is pleasant inside. Lots of nice decorations. And there was a steady stream of people coming in and ordering takeout. The menu is on the small side, but the dishes they have all looked really good. One member of our party has a nut allergy, and several dishes have cashews - so the menu was even more limiting for him. But the staff were great. Several people talked to him about what he could eat, and brought out the binder that showed what was "safe." We wound up getting several of the mushroom uttapam and a white truffle dosa. They came with chutney and sambar accompaniments, some of which were flavorful but a little spicy. All in all a great meal. My wife finished her dish, which she typically doesn't do - it was a testament to how much she enjoyed her meal.

I have been coming here for thirty-five years, and it blows my mind that after more than three decades, it keeps reaching new heights while fiercely retaining everything that made it legendary in the first place: the unbeatable high quality, the remarkably affordable prices, and those effortlessly cool, historic vibes. It is a rare, beautiful gem that refuses to compromise its soul, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. This visit was extra special because my fiancé was a first-timer, and he was instantly converted, falling just as madly in love with the magic of this place as I did decades ago. On this particular afternoon, the lines were wrapped around the courtyard and the energy was absolutely electric. It was hella busy, which is a testament to how beloved this institution remains. Rather than waiting for a table, we decided to grab our food to go--a move that turned out to be pure perfection. We took our feast over to the historic plaza square, found a spot to sit, and ate under the shade of the trees while listening to live music drift through the air. With a beautiful, cool mountain breeze rustling through the plaza, it was the most quintessential, magical Santa Fe experience you could ever ask for. As for the food, it remains an absolute revelation. I ordered my enchiladas "Christmas" style, split right down the middle with both their famous, deeply savory red chile and their bright, perfectly spiced green chile. The first bite instantly reminded me why no one else can touch what they do here. The blue corn tortillas were tender, the cheese was perfectly melted, and the chiles carried that robust, earthy, authentic New Mexico heat that warms you from the inside out. It is a flawless execution of culinary tradition. To be able to deliver that level of world-class, scratch-made perfection at a price point that still feels incredibly generous is nothing short of a miracle. Whether you sit in their enchanting, labyrinthine dining rooms or pack it up for a picnic on the square, The Shed is the absolute pinnacle of the Santa Fe spirit.
