I am very disappointed as a few other customers wrote in their reviews that she charges as much as she feels like charging. I just got a pedicure today and was thinking about it that the last time she also charged me 40.00 She used to do better work but as she has become busier it is now sloppy. The quality of her work has gone down. Today she was so busy that she did not even soak my feet and painted them less than up to par and still charged the full price. The problem is she overbooks herself and tries to work on two to three customers at once and because of that her work suffers. She is good but the service is going downhill quickly. I am disappointed. For what she did today I should have been in and out in 45 min or less and it took 90 minutes. I will give her a chance to see if it gets better. read more

I live in Hollister, but work in Salinas. I decided to look on yelp to try to find a salon in Salinas where I could go for a fill on my lunch hour. I am so glad I did. Kim and Anna were both very sweet. Kim did my fill and reshaped my nails with gel polish and I could not believe how affordable their pricing was compared to what I have been paying in Hollister. I really don't like leaving bad reviews, but I read the reviews here on Yelp before I went to get a gel manicure from Anna and literally couldn't find a bad review. I can't figure out why though! When Anna is paying attention, she does a great job, my nails never chip, and she's so neat. However, I have only lived through one decent setting with her! She is constantly talking and getting sidetracked, usually talking to myself and who ever is getting a pedi at the same time as my gel manicure. Which is totally fine that she is doing both at the same time, but not at the expense of my manicure. The entire time I'm in there, she is drilling me about my future and whether or not I'm going to school and how I need to manage my life. Seriously? I don't go to the salon so that someone can shake their finger at my choices and when I decided to have children. I get enough backlash from my parents about college, I don't need her opinion. There was even an instance where I didn't get an even amount of color coats on both hands and they were visibly different. I would love to just zone out and listen to a fountain while my nails are being painted, but it really is work to be in that salon. Once I get to my car, I can finally breathe. It's so much work to sit there and wait for Anna to ask me another question about my life, so she can tell me how I should be doing this or that... when she can't even keep up with which step of the manicure we are on. read more

Anna is a very nice person however I was very disappointed with the gel nails she did for me. I think her specialty is more in pedicures and feet. I thought when I got my nails done she would put tips on but she didn't. I was unaware of this but thought well maybe she knows best. Her prices did not reflect the difference. And after only a couple of days the gel on my nails have started to peel and split. It was obvious she did not put a thick enough coat on. I won't be going back to her again. I think I paid as much if not more for a job I was not pleased with. read more

I found Anna by accident on Yelp when I was looking up the address of the nail spa I had been using...and her star ratings caught my eye. I had had toenail pain to the point of seeing a podiatrist who was going to do surgery. After seeing Anna just once, the pain vanished, but after several months of return visits and doing the regular maintenance routine that she instructed me in, my toes are now healthy and I am her regular customer. I am a dancer so the health of my toes and feet is really important to me. I consider Anna to be a vital part of my life support system. Just be careful never to miss or be late for an appointment, because you don't want to see Anna upset. read more

So disappointed, I have been a faithful customer of Anna for quite some time and have referred many people to her but unfortunately she now seems to have enough customers that she can now pick her own fees, for each individual customer. I made an appointment with her and arrived 5 minutes early, she then told me she was going to charge me $40.00 without even looking at my feet, and pointed to her new fee sign on the wall which listed pedicures as $25.00 and up. She said she works hard and that she charged a man a few days ago $50.00 and that he called her a "doctor". I was surprised that I was being talked to this way especially in front of another one of her customers in her shop. I said my toes were not that bad and slipped my shoe off to show her but she continued to insist on $40.00. I was embarrassed and I felt betrayed and humiliated by someone that I have sent so much business to. It is a shame that Anna's popularity has gone to her head, and that she has forgotten the "Golden Rule" of treating her longtime regular customers with dignity, and fairness. Horrible service! I called the day before to schedule an appointment with Anna. She confirmed and told me she'd see me the next day. I walked in and she was there and another lady was there doing a manicure. Anna got my foot soak ready while I picked my color. I sat down and she started getting stuff ready. Two older ladies walked and they started talking, she sat one of them down and told me she was letting my feet soak longer cause it would be better for my feet. After 10 minutes, she told me she was starting on the other lady cause she had an appointment and her helper would be doing my pedicure when she was done. After 20 minutes of waiting, she started my pedicure. Towards the end of my pedicure two other people walked in for manicures, the lady doing my pedicure was told to help them, she rushed with my polish, I let doing one coat and a top coat, I asked for gel but didn't get it. While I waited, the helper started one mani, left her soaking her nails, and started the other manicure. All while Anna was still working on the lady that arrived after I did.
