The Rib Plate was delicious, but the presentation was disgusting. Annie's is a take-out joint in the Historical South Side of Las Vegas; when I got my plate home, the barbecue sauce and the cold slaw had merged. I would like to suggest that Annie use a separate container for the cold slaw, the same type as they use for the baked beans. I tried calling them, but no one answered the phone. read more

Quite a unique experience! Drive to the side of the building , wait for a guy to come out and take your order, then wait in the alley for him to bring you your food. Second time ordering the slab or ribs with two sides for and event. You have to go there and pay $30 (you can not beat this) they are so organized. You just pull-up in your car, give your order, pay, stay in your car. It's a well oiled machine! They have mask and gloves. Definitely Covid conscious! On to the Ribs.. when I tell you bomb AF. Bomb. First time trying Annie's kitchen and I thought it was good got the rib tip dinner with potato salad and beans as my sides. The only thing I would recommend is to not put the potato salad in the same container because what if I wanted to heat my food up later and I eat all that at once, but other than that it was pretty good. My husband didn't care for it though but I'll be back and their peach cobbler was really good as well and I make my own peach cobbler so that is a big compliment to them. read more

Some of the reviews are funny. Yes, the young man serving the food can be rude at times but he's working a rough, thankless job. I'm cool with him, just started chatting with him about sports and now not only do I get great service but he might throw a rib or two extra in there. He's like the soup Nazi from Seinfield, just be cool, don't piss him off or "no ribs for you!" Now to the food, it's hands down the best BBQ in Vegas, nothing else comes close. Since traveling to TX, Memphis and KC, my bar is super high for ribs. I've rarely found decent BBQ in Cali and none in Vegas besides Annies. Get their ribs without BBQ sauce, that's the true sign of good ribs...they don't need sauce. Most other places use sauce to cover up the lack of flavor. Some people mentioned they have no hours posted, cardboard menu and close whenever they run out of food, that's true....it is what it is. Many times I've came by after 3pm and they closed because they ran out. All of that is worth it considering the ribs are incredible. read more

Omg. The BEST ribs I've ever eaten in my entire life. I'm a Vegas native, who is 54 years old, and never had ribs this good. Y'all are missing out, by not driving here, bringing your cash, and enjoying the best homemade eats. This place has had a PERFECT record with the health department for YEARS! I saw them on TV. Great! I heard an ad for this place on the radio. While looking through photos people posted on Yelp, I saw that they smoke turkeys for the holidays. With that being said, I got a turkey smoked by them for Thanksgiving. I knew I was taking a chance because I had never tried their food, but the reviews I read were good. We were VERY satisfied with the end result. You buy your own turkey, and they'll smoke it for $25. Not a bad deal. It was delicious! The only downside is that you won't know when it's going to be done. I'd recommend making sure someone is available to pick it up the day before, because they can't give you a timeframe. Annie's Kitchen definitely isn't the same anymore. I've been eating their food since I was in diapers. Since the Covid-19 pandemic they have been taking orders through their drive through, which is totally fine !! I actually prefer this new method. But The black guy with the baby dreads/braids that takes the orders for the drive through is VERY RUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm confused why he has such an attitude especially when you have customers that are patronizing your family's business. I'm black myself so it's even more of an disappointment that he's always rude to a fellow brother/sister. But then you have people shouting "Black Lives Matter". What a joke. My advice from a customer who LOVES your food, and would hate to stop coming, please incorporate friendlier customer service please. Im highly disappointed in this black owed family business. This place is a ghetto mess. They serve food in the alley out the back door. They don't keep their postedhours, either. They said they close when they run out of food. Now, here's the joke: They serve meals that come with sides but I was told some sides were "free and some sides are extra." Huh? I try to support black restaurant owners but it's always some mess. I've eaten soul food coast to coast and all throughout the South and I have NEVER been charged extra for certain sides. You choose 2 sides from the menu and that's that. This place charges extra for mac n cheese and other sides. And it's not that good btw. They have no patience for first timers. You have to read the menu off a poster and don't ask too many questions.
