    Texas Burger with onion rings

Ordered a Cobb salad and paid extra for crispy chicken. Was given the 'crispy chicken salad' with beans and corn....should have fully checked before I left but I just checked for the crispy chicken and went on my way. They weren't even busy. Waited 20 minutes for the order only for it to be wrong and paid extra. Seriously pissed. Not worth $16 for this. Chicken was over cooked. Check your to go order THOROUGHLY before leaving.

Always get this togo, My favorite is the mushroom burger and I ask them to add Jalapenos!! The burgers are huge and super savory. It makes me feel spoiled!!

This was my first time here Annie's did not disappoint! You'll spend the same amount as if you went to a fast food burger place but the quality is SO much better. Burgers definitely taste home made. All toppings were fresh and cooked perfectly. Service was simple and straightforward. They have indoor seating and a covered outdoor patio. It was pretty slow for a Sunday afternoon. Would definitely recommend.

2 stars because the woman who took my order was sweet but the food was terrible. Annys quality fell off. Use to come here for burgers and wings. Tried the Korean fried chicken and it was terrible. Overcooked almost burnt. Dry brittle and bland. Not about it said Korean. Thick cut fries were bland, lacked any color or flavor. Look very pale almost raw. Burger bun was a little stale. Left feeling robbed. Never again.

Really Great burgers, large portion sizes, good atmosphere. Definitely worth bringing your big appetite to.

The place is clean and good customer services. We got mushroom garlic burger with fries. The fries is crunchy. Burger is okay, not thr best I had but it's not bad either.

Ordered the fish & chips as well as the chili cheese fries. Both were pretty good! I've ordered the chili cheese fries now twice & the first time I ordered there was a generous serving of the fries & chili. Second time around not so much, but it was still good nonetheless. Quick service! Love this place so much & can't wait to try other items.

This was my first time trying out this place. Several people had already told me that the burgers were yummy here. Finally I had a chance to try it out. We were a party of 5. A very kind Jasmina and staff took great care of us. We appreciate it. Ordered the following.... Texas Burger -grilled onion, jalapeno, crisp bacon, pepper jack cheese, lettuce & hickory bbq sauce Pastrami Burger -baked pastrami, swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickle, & mayo with honey mustard Salmon Burger -grilled salmon steak, lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickle & lemon mayo Chicken tenders and fries Sides Cajun Fries Onion rings Fried pickles The burgers were good and very filling. The bun is nice and soft. The salmon burger was flavorful too. You can't go wrong with any of the fried stuff. All good, but my favorite was the fried pickles. Chicken tenders were hearty too. The portions are decent size and sharable. We did have leftovers. The restaurant was clean, staff was kind and friendly. They have a side covered patio good for entertaining large groups. We came during the week so it wasn't too crowded. It was a little challenging to find parking but it eventually cleared up. Nice experience will try something else next time.

Finally tried this burger joint. It was Veteran's Day and a Monday and the first two restaurants we chose were closed. I heard good reviews about Anny's so about time we tried it. We split a Sand Dune Burger and it was delicious and quite large. Loved the mound of crispy onions mounted in the burger We also ordered the salt and pepper fries and fried dill pickles The pickles were spears and could have been fried a bit longer. They were okay. We did have to wipe down our table ourselves and the restaurant was about 1/4 filled with customers. I would come back to try more of their burgers or have another Sand Dune but try different sides. Four stars for the burger

These were some biiiiiig burgers but they were delicious! The avocado on the cali burger was really fresh and complemented the well-seasoned 1/2 pound patty Great service and plenty of seating

Service was great and the establishment was clean. The burger was enormous and there was no way I could finish it. The taste was fairly basic and there was no wow factor to it. The chili cheese fries were tasty.

This is the chili burger hardly any chili.
    Skut F.

Their chili is disgusting. Service is good and the people are nice . The place was quiet and empty. They chili fries barely had any cheese. Their fries tasted weird today. The burger wasn't as good as their other burgers.

Food @ best mediocre.. service somewhat Place & space ok.. Establishments that don't own their mistakes & pump out over cooked burgers & under cooked fries is a no go for me. It's been 5 months & we wound spend no less than A 100$..

The opponent this trip was Seven Brothers…read moreon Oahu, but after finishing the last bite and wiping away a tear, Hodads keeps its title as my favorite burger and burger joint in all my travels. First off, if you're in San Diego, this should be your only must-visit. I rarely go back to places I've already reviewed, but Hodads is a MUST, non-negotiable!!! The dining room is not fancy and looks like a teenager's bedroom with stickers and license plates adorning the walls. While the burger speaks for itself, whether you get the mini, reg, or double, the patties are thick, juicy, with fresh veggies and a soft, sweet bun to soak up those juices. This goes for the onion rings too, that don't seem to come out of the dryer in a bag. At the end of the day, the service was fast and friendly and carried the ocean vibe a Cali burger joint should have. I even picked up my Hodads T-shirt to probably advertise on my travels! My only question and curiosity is in the fries. I'm not a fan of wedges, and I feel like my last visit, they were thick-seasoned traditional fries. Fries or wedges, it will never change how I feel about Hodads!!!

Pros: I got the half-pound burger with fries and it was really good overall. The burger was super juicy, well-cooked, and had that classic hearty, satisfying taste you want from a solid burger spot. The portion size was generous, especially with the half-pound patty, and the fries were a great side to round out the meal. The location in Pacific Beach is also a big plus. It's in a great area with lots going on, so it's easy to grab food and walk around afterward or make it part of a beach day. The overall vibe of the spot feels casual and fitting for PB--nothing overly fancy, just good comfort food done right. Cons: Since it's in a busy beach area, parking and crowds can be a bit of a challenge depending on the time you go. It's more of a casual grab-and-go or quick dine-in spot, so don't expect a sit-down restaurant experience with a lot of space or quiet seating. During peak beach hours, it can also get pretty busy. Verdict: Overall, Rocky's Burgers is a great spot in Pacific Beach if you're craving a juicy, satisfying burger in a fun beachside area. The half-pound burger and fries hit the spot, and it's a solid choice for a casual meal before or after hanging out in PB.

It's always popping up as one of the best burgers in San Diego. The vibe in the place was cool. Bustling and music blasting. I look around for the menu. Not easy to find. I guess it's one of those "if you know you know" but then I saw a small chalkboard that listed the burger and a tiny printout pizza menu way in the back. I order a burger and coke. So pumped to try it. I ask for no onions and the guy at the register immediately cops a huge attitude like I ruined his day. He points at the chalkboard and says "no substitutions". I reply "no biggie! I can scrape em off or something" dude looks pissed and says "they're hard to scrape off" I know reading this I may sound unreasonable. Maybe dude was having a bad day. But the way he was looking and speaking to me made me want to walk away from the counter not bother ordering. If you are great at burgers but not customer service maybe stay off the register and stick to the grill. My friend with me goes "not very friendly for a place called the friendly" so it wasn't just me. The burger comes out. Honestly I'd bet on a good day it's great. But today it wasn't. Overly greasy. Ironically all of the onions slid right off so I'm not sure why he feels it would be too difficult for me to remove myself. The burger could barely stay in the bun it was so greasy. The aioli spread was all on one side of the burger and it was a mess. I'm not sure if maybe this place used to be great and since has declined, or if the staff was just having such an off day that it reflected in the effort of the food. Or if the guy just had some issue and felt like taking it out on us today. But needless to say. There's plenty of amazing smash burger places in San Diego. Excited to try somewhere else.
