Annie's Burger is a solid local spot with a big menu and plenty of options to choose from. The burgers are flavorful and satisfying, and the portions are generous. Service was friendly, and the casual atmosphere makes it an easy spot for a quick meal or something to eat with friends.
Ordered a Cobb salad and paid extra for crispy chicken. Was given the 'crispy chicken salad' with beans and corn....should have fully checked before I left but I just checked for the crispy chicken and went on my way. They weren't even busy. Waited 20 minutes for the order only for it to be wrong and paid extra. Seriously pissed. Not worth $16 for this. Chicken was over cooked. Check your to go order THOROUGHLY before leaving.

2 stars because the woman who took my order was sweet but the food was terrible. Annys quality fell off. Use to come here for burgers and wings. Tried the Korean fried chicken and it was terrible. Overcooked almost burnt. Dry brittle and bland. Not about it said Korean. Thick cut fries were bland, lacked any color or flavor. Look very pale almost raw. Burger bun was a little stale. Left feeling robbed. Never again.
Always get this togo, My favorite is the mushroom burger and I ask them to add Jalapenos!! The burgers are huge and super savory. It makes me feel spoiled!!

A very kind Jasmina and staff took great care of us. We appreciate it. Ordered the following.... Texas Burger -grilled onion, jalapeno, crisp bacon, pepper jack cheese, lettuce & hickory bbq sauce Pastrami Burger -baked pastrami, swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickle, & mayo with honey mustard Salmon Burger -grilled salmon steak, lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickle & lemon mayo Chicken tenders and fries Sides Cajun Fries Onion rings Fried pickles The burgers were good and very filling. The bun is nice and soft. The salmon burger was flavorful too. You can't go wrong with any of the fried stuff. All good, but my favorite was the fried pickles. Chicken tenders were hearty too. The portions are decent size and sharable. We did have leftovers. The restaurant was clean, staff was kind and friendly. They have a side covered patio good for entertaining large groups. We came during the week so it wasn't too crowded. It was a little challenging to find parking but it eventually cleared up. Nice experience will try something else next time.

We split a Sand Dune Burger and it was delicious and quite large. Loved the mound of crispy onions mounted in the burger We also ordered the salt and pepper fries and fried dill pickles The pickles were spears and could have been fried a bit longer. They were okay. We did have to wipe down our table ourselves and the restaurant was about 1/4 filled with customers. I would come back to try more of their burgers or have another Sand Dune but try different sides. Four stars for the burger
These were some biiiiiig burgers but they were delicious! The avocado on the cali burger was really fresh and complemented the well-seasoned 1/2 pound patty [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great service and plenty of seating[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I pass by here all the time but haven't been here in ages. I was missing out because they really do make a mighty fine burger. I ordered online for pick up. My order was ready in the time stated. The young man at the counter was very friendly. It was nice inside, clean and had plenty of seating. The important part-I had the Garlic Mushroom Burger, Hubs had the Monster Burger and Son had the Bacon Cheeseburger. We had Garluc Fries and Regular Fries. It was all very good. Hubs would've liked more Pastrami on his but other than that liked it. read more

I've been to Anny's maybe three times over the past five or six years. I finally took some photos on my third and most recent visit. First--don't be put-off by the somewhat uncleanly outer appearance of the strip mall this restaurant is in. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a local family-run establishment with a spacious, very clean interior, friendly team members, and very fresh burgers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My party ordered California, Texas, and Hawaii burgers. We also got a shareable side of Cajun fries. Everything was really fresh. The meat tasted great, was seasoned well, and the veggies and other toppings tasted super clean and as if they'd just been purchased or picked. The portions are also worth noting, as you get a reasonably sized meal that's commiserate with the pricing. Overall, Anny's is a really good mom-and-pop burger joint that's absolutely worth trying out. I highly recommend the California burger to newcomers. Enjoy! read more

We ordered the California burger ($13.25) and Garlic mushroom burger ($12.95). The meat patties are advertised as 100% angus beef, but I am too much of a peasant to have noticed anything special. I wish the red onions were grilled instead of raw. The buns tasted like normal brioche buns (not sure why another reviewer said the bun was "cake-like"). I was not dissatisfied with the meal, but I wouldn't come out here just for the burgers (that's what we did for this trip, because their burgers - at least for the Santee location - were listed as top burgers in San Diego on some websites I browsed). Garlic fries ($6.70): The fries were nice and crisp. I enjoyed the pungent flavor of the parmesan. I feel like the garlic was the pre-minced garlic that you can buy from the store, because it did not carry that much garlic flavor. Cajun fries: The seasoning packed some heat. These were tastier than the garlic fries, despite me not having much to say about them. Parking: Free parking in a shared shopping center lot. My fiance and I came here for our Wednesdate! His coworkers have been talking about this burger joint for awhile now, so we decided to give it a try! We got the garlic mushroom burger, korean bbq fries, and onion rings. The fries were really crispy! The meat for the korean bbq fries were sweeter than we expected and a lot chewier as well. The onion rings were really crispy but we felt like there was too much batter on them. They were also a little bland. The ranch that was served with it also seemed a little off as well. The garlic mushroom burger was also bland. The burger itself is really juicy, but it was just lacking in flavor. If we visit this place again, we plan on trying their cheeseburger with regular fries just to get a baseline of how their basic burgers taste like. read more

Vibes are not bad but the patio was a bit cold. Overall not a bad spot to try if you've exhausted all the Asian food on Convoy. read more

They don't market the chicken wings here, but they are still amazing since I've first had them in 2006. This restaurant should be named "Anny's Fine Burger & Wings". Garlic parmesan wings ($12.95): the batter amount is perfect and is crispy, while the interior was juicy. I love the garlic flavor and hint of parmesan, 10/10 rating! Buffalo chicken wings ($12.95): the exterior was not crispy, but the buffalo sauce is balanced. The sauce is not spicy, and the amount of vinegar is just right, as it's not overwhelming. 8/10 rating. The onion rings were typical, 7/10 rating. I thought that beer battered onion rings were included with the wings as a combo. Now, the Cajun fries were a hit. Although mildly flavored, they were extra crispy and addicting, 8/10. The service was standard, and the parking can be difficult during dinner time from 5:00 to 6:30, as the lot is shared with other busy restaurants. The vibe and the music here are chill. They have a good amount of tables for dining. I will return here soon to confirm that their burgers and milkshakes remain just as good as I can remember. read more

Friendly service, tasty burgers and crispy fries! I'm a fan of Anny's. Chun P. and I stopped by recently and I had a veggie burger. The patty was flavorful and seemed homemade, topped with plenty of sauteed mushrooms and avocado. The brioche bun was pillowy-soft goodness! This is a great place for families; I noticed lots of folks with kids around. The side room also makes a good spot for a birthday party - one was happening while we were there. Complimentary, home-grown lemons were also available in a basket by the front. read more

Went here for lunch craving a burger. It's been a couple years since I've been here. The last visit with the wife left us not really wanting to go back , as there was almost no flavor to our burgers . Decided to give it another shot. Ordered a garlic mushroom burger and Texas bbq burger. When they came out I was pleasantly surprised at the portion sizing . However, as soon as I took my first bite (garlic mushroom) it was the same very bland , non existent flavor profile of the burger type ordered. Not one hint of garlic flavor, the brioche bun was very cakey and disintegrated, and the beef patty was bereft of any seasoning . Finished it and tried the Texas bbq burger. Could not taste the bacon and the patty was again bland as hell. No salt, no seasoning, no nothing . And it was way over cooked. Had to ask for bbq sauce and ketchup to give the meat and semblance of flavor I paid $35 for two burgers and a drink. With each burger being $15 and not even coming with fries, the burgers here are not even a good value. I loved going to the Santee location when I used to work in that area. Not sure what the issue is here at the clairemeont Mesa one, but def will not be coming back. read more
If there's one place to go to just get a damn burger, it's Anny's. Does San Diego already have too many burger restaurants? Yes. Are most of them pretty overhyped and way too expensive for what you're getting? Yes, but not Anny's. Anny's is one of those places that has the right amount of attention for the product they're selling, and the best way I can describe their vibe is like a restaurant in the East Coast that still has a smoking section. I don't know how to describe it any other way, but for me, it's nostalgic, and maybe if you're also from the East Coast, you'll know what I mean. Specifically, places that I've visited with my grandma in Virginia Beach are a little behind the trends, and they focus more on serving a quality item that might not look so great for Instagram. Anny's has a long menu of burgers, sandwiches, wings, and more, and these sloppy things are huge! You could seriously share a burger with a friend, or try to heat half up later. I've been here a few times for various reasons, all for my lunch break during the week. They've been packed every time, so if you're coming during peak lunch hours, factor in the extra (15-20) minutes you'll be waiting in line. The employees are super friendly, just make sure you follow the signs and don't go the opposite way they tell you to (or they'll call you out, also like the East Coast). One thing to note: if you see the pastrami burger and think "oh, I'd actually like a pastrami sandwich," like I did, go somewhere else for a pastrami sandwich. Here they will only serve you pastrami on a burger bun, and if you ask for it without the beef patty, they don't give you extra pastrami and it looks and tastes sad (pictured). In the mood for some comfort food and a cozy comfy spot for cuisine? look no further than Anny's fine burger! hearty burger meals. unfortunately if you don't eat bacon they can't accommodate you as far as using a bacon grease free grill but I was able to speak to the manager and they promised to whipe down the grill where they would cook my burger. the burger was hearty and tasty, though it tasted quite heavy and greasy. still tasted good though. the sweet potato fries were nicely seasoned and tasty. read more
