I really don't like writing negative reviews but the experience we had last weekend at this restaurant was awful. Our server was not only slow and inexperienced she was so rude to us. We waited an hour for our food, my husbands was so greasy, it swam in his plate. Mine was cold, she forgot the english muffin and the cutlery and the fruit plate. One dish out of 4 was ok. The other tables sat unbussed, so there were tons of birds, the manager tried to solve the problem by removing one item off our bill, but the whole experience was very negative. This is a service industry and I've heard it's hard to get good help, but this girl's attitude was awful. So disappointed. read more

I visited on June 5, 2022 @ 11:40AM. My party was not seated until 12:05PM. We ordered our food rather swiftly. The beverages came out right away, but the full meals did not come out until 12:50PM. A full 45 minutes seems a bit long to wait, even at a busier time. This was over an hour following initial arrival. The food was better than average, but there was nothing to very much distinguish it from any given restaurant that serves breakfast. I can say the same about the atmosphere and general service. It was a fine place for breakfast, but I think you can likely find places, like Tom Sawyer in Boca Raton or The Hen and The Hog in Pompano Beach, which are superior. Delicious and conveniently-located East Boca breakfast spot! Came here with a friend for an early Saturday morning breakfast, and it was delicious. I knocked a star because when I came in, even though the restaurant was empty, no one came over to seat me and the host was MIA. There was even someone behind the bar who saw me but didn't come over. We waited for several minutes, so not the best first impression. Our waitress Lavina quickly made up for the interior's misstep. She was incredibly friendly and helpful! We started with mimosas- my friend got a strawberry, and I was between the lemon/blue berry and black cherry, so I told Lavina to surprise me. She brought me the lemon/blueberry, and it was delicious! I don't think it was that strong though. For meals, I got the seasonal lobster Benedict with fruit instead of potatoes, and my friend got the crab cakes with fried green tomato. He is from MD, so he knows his crab, and he said that his dish was awesome. My lobster benny was soooo good, although it came out room temperature. I should've asked them to heat it up, but I was starving. Overall, great location and nice outdoor seating with very solid food. Ordered the Mardi Gras omelette. It is the best omelette I've had in a long time. Shrimp, crawfish and sausage with a light tomato cream sauce on top. Came with hot grits and an English muffin. I enjoyed my brunch experience at Another Broken Egg Cafe and would be open to dining there again. Granted, I traveled a healthy distance to meet a friend so I wouldn't be a frequent patron. The restaurant was packed at noon hour on Sunday and our wait was approximately a half an hour. The main menu is vast. A seasonal menu as well as an adult beverage menu are available. I didn't partake in libations, but the options definitely peaked my interest. Various mimosas, Bloody Marys and interesting coffees grace the list. The Spiced Nutella iced latte is served in a mason jar and features Nutella, RumChata, cold brew coffee, a strip of bacon, ABE's signature biscuit beignet and fresh whipped cream. Ummmm, hello lover! The truth be told, my return trip will more than likely be due to my desire to try this tantalizing concoction. I opted for the Ipanema Estate Coffee Pancake Combo for my meal selection. This dish features a combination of coffee infused pancakes decorated with fresh strawberry slices, caramel drizzle and pumpkin- spiced whipped cream. A choice of baked bacon or house-made sausage along with two any style eggs accompany these flapjacks. Last, this meal is paired with the Ipanema Estate coffee. I really enjoyed the perfectly crisp bacon. The scrambled eggs were average and required salt and pepper. I didn't experience the coffee infusion in my pancake takeaway and I would've enjoyed a few more strawberry slices. Nonetheless, I thoroughly enjoyed them and left no bite behind. All in all, this dish was a win. Finally, our server Anthony did a great job considering he was responsible for numerous tables when we initially arrived. I was impressed by his level of retention and ability to be efficient without making us feel rushed. I finally used the join the waitlist feature on Yelp since this place is always packed, it definitely lowered out actually wait time since we joined while driving to the restaurant... I highly suggest using it!!!! The restaurant is always packed and for good reason. I started off with the iced coffee Bailey latte: it was a bit watering down to me: I wouldn't recommend it and my BF had the cranberry mimosas, he didn't like it either. We switched our drinks to the strawberry lemonade spritzer- NOW THAT WAS yummy with just the right amount of fizz. The Food was great: just the amount of Louisiana flavor, spices, seafood and more than enough per serving. We ordered the crawfish skillet and the Marti Gras omelette.... get the grits on the side!! We had Anthony as our server he was super nice, friendly, made great recommendations and trust me he knows what's good he didn't disappoint us.. he was awesome he even packed up our biscuits since they were still baking and we had finished our meals but he insisted on us taking them.. glad we did.. of course they were awesome!!! Another Broken Egg Cafe is located in Mizner, so the parking is pretty limited and tight. If you go in the morning, then the parking lot will most likely be empty. The service is amazing. When we walked in, we were quickly greeted and seated. Since it was our first time, we got complimentary biscuit beignets. The lady forgot about them, so we had to remind her. We tried their french toast, sausage, biscuit, scrambled eggs, and corn beef hash. The french toast was okay. It was a but bland and could have been crispy. The sausage was a bit rough. Looking through the menu and finding the Strawberry Pound Cake French Toast I just had to try it out for myself. I also ordered the Strawberry Mimosa. This was by far the best Mimosa I had ever had. It gives you a nice buzz for the morning. Customer service was marvelous! We informed our waitress that this was our first visit and she provided us with complimentary Beignets. They were super fresh and delicious. I must say my dish was all around fresh and very light on my tummy! Keep in mind this dish maybe seasonal but I would definitely recommend trying it out! I've passed by many of these restaurants but have never eaten at one until yesterday. I was excited to try out the food and was looking forward to a late breakfast/early lunch. We walked in and were greeted and sat down immediately, which is a bonus considering it was a Saturday. First thing I noticed at my table is that the bottle of pepper sauce was cracked and had pepper sauce caked to the top and the side of it. That tells me they weren't really cleaning the tables after the patrons left. I looked down on the floor under the table and there were two napkins, a straw, and a jelly packet as well. I was mildly put off but decided to look past it in the hopes that the food would be better. I was wrong. I ordered the chilaquiles and my girlfriend ordered the buttermilk pancakes that came with bacon and scrambled eggs. I also ordered a side of fruit and a half order of the biscuit beignets because I will always try any restaurants beignets. The food took longer than expected to come out and I don't really have an explanation as to why. 20 minutes seems like a long time for basic breakfast foods. When it did come out I was really disappointed in my food. My side of fruit looked like something that they picked up off the table after a child finished eating it. There was barely anything in the bowl. There were three grapes, the equivalent of one strawberries sliced up, 2 blackberries and a bunch of pomegranate seeds (see picture). What a rip off!! The beignets tasted like they weren't cooked all the way and there's nothing more unappealing than raw dough. My chilaquiles were the most disappointing of them all. Anytime I've ever been to a restaurant and ordered them, there's a guajillo sauce that is poured over the dish. This dish had blobs of chorizo on the bottom with no sauce at all. There were a few slivers of red onion that was so strong it probably had sat out all day. The eggs were just boring, I will never understand why some restaurants don't season eggs with salt and pepper. The dish overall was a huge disappointment and I picked around at it. My girlfriend said that her pancakes were OK but not worth the almost $11 that we paid for them. She said the highlight of her meal was the side of bacon. She ordered an iced coffee ($4) and I ordered iced tea ($3) and they never gave us refills because all of the servers were behind the bar chatting about their personal lives. I don't mind if they chat during work because what else are you going to do to pass the time, but do so after you've checked on the patrons. I was really disappointed in this restaurant overall. Poor cleanliness, poor food quality, and subpar service means that I definitely will not be going back to this location. read more

Came here today to celebrate my dads birthday with my family and I had put my name down on the waiting list which the time was 20-30 mins. Once I arrived to the hostess station at the restaurant to check in, the host told me a whole different time then was on the waiting queue in the website. She told me that we would have to wait about 45 mins before we would be able to get seated. Ok fine, but don't give us the option to be put on the waiting list on the website if your going to give a different wait time in person. Once I get the text stating that our table was ready, she took us outside on the patio and grabbed us an extra chair as the table fits four people comfortably. After that, our sever walked over introduced himself (forgot his name) and immediately took our drink orders. Once he put those in and about 5-7 mins go by, he comes back out with them and asks if we would like to put our orders in. I ordered the Apple fritter French toast (not the meal) my sister ordered the cinnamon roll pancakes( non meal) my brother ordered the Benedict burger no ham, and both my parents ordered the omelettes. Let's just say that our server is most definitely not the most attentive person what so ever. My mom asked for half and half for her coffee and he tells her there is creamer at the table. She then tells him she doesn't want creamer and would like half and half and then tells her oh well we only have those creamers or milk. About 25 mins later as we are waiting for our food to come, he never comes back to see if we needed any refills on our drinks or if we needed anything else while we waited or to even bring us napkins since we didn't have any. That's strike 2 for him, I am never the type to complain but this is the second time severs do this to us at this specific location. Once our food comes out, my sister noticed that her food was cold so she sent it back, my fritters were on the extremely dry side but the sauce and apples were the only edible things on the plate but I didn't want to complain and send it back so I proceeded to eat it anyways. My moms side of potatoes seemed to be the ones that were at the bottom of the pan and she could barely eat them as they were hard and you can barely stick your fork in them. He never came back to see how the food was or even bothered to see if we needed anything, he passed by the table next to ours and asked the lady "do you need anything else". All I have to say is that I am not going to return to this restaurant again until they learn how to train their staff the proper way on how to deal with customers the correct way. First time visiting today to take my dad out for his birthday. The first thing Im super annoyed with is how everything has pork in it. This restaurant doesn't really accommodate well to people who don't eat pork. Second I ordered the cinnamon roll french toast and I didn't expect to act be cinnamon rolls. Honestly that was a bad idea because they were too huge and dry and tough. The first time my food came it was lukewarm and had no sauce or syrup on top. I sent it back and it came hot with sauce but its way too sweet. I think just regular french toast with the icing or cinnamon roll on top would be best so you're bot serving tough dry bread to people. The toast is softer and easier to eat. Another disappointment was my mother had home potatoes with her omelette and they were all dry ends barely any soft ones and they were not seasoned at all. The service we got wasn't that great either, my server nice guy but horrible service. I understand that it was busy but that's no excuse, ive worked in the restaurant industry before and no matter how busy you get always make sure to check up on your customers how their food is or if they need anything extra. He acknowledged another table with needing other stuff but we had to call for him if we needed something. When I asked for something simple like napkins he brought once so we can wipe our wet table but when we needed spare ones to use he didn't bring it for us. We werent difficult at all we made his life very easy. Ordered fairly quickly even while having asked some questions about substitutions of items we cant consume. After the long wait to order and get our food, we had nothing to eat with. 5 minutes after asking, I went to the hostess for silverware myself (missing in the pic below). So, no silverware, slow to get drinks, no water or napkins offered, and just overall bad customer service. Our server (Kelly) spent more time flirting with a table of four guys, than she did doing her job. Even after I went to get my own silverware, nobody seemed to care. I don't eat eggs myself, so I always try to find eggless brunch options. That leaves me with overwhelmingly sweet sounding choices or a few salads and sandwiches. I opted for a turkey and mozzarella panini, but it didn't come out seeming as such. It was more like a soggy sandwich that I needed to eat with a fork and knife.
